  1. Gene Simmons is such a money-grubbing sleazebag, I wouldn't be surprised if ripping off customers for tips wasn't in the employee manual.
  2. Really good episode last night. It succeeded in making Dwight a sympathetic character far better than the comics ever did.
  3. The Ravens lose 4 in a row, win yesterday...and now they lead the division. Christ, the AFC North is going to be like the 2014 NFC South and the rest of the conference's fans will be pissed when the 7-8-1 Bengals clinch a playoff spot ahead of other 9-7 teams.
  4. I enjoyed last season and any season will be better than the ones where Brody overstayed his welcome and strained the credulity of the whole series (part of season 2 and all of season 3). Shit, a test pattern would be better than that.
  5. I wouldn't blame Banderas for that. It's a dumb idea and he absolutely misses the table, but you can tell Flanagan is the one controlling the bump; Ricky isn't literally "throwing" him at all. It's a work. A dumb, ill-conceived work, to be sure, but a work nonetheless.
  6. Exactly. As an 80s kid, watching WWE Network is mind blowing, just seeing all the guys who were considered "small" back then.
  7. I like Cobb a lot, but his conditioning is suspect -- he was sucking wind and noticeably slowing down in the Hero match. Yes, Hero has better cardio than Cobb. His work is decent but I feel like there's no "music between the notes," just one power spot after another. It feels more like a big move exhibition than a match. Just my opinion and I'm positive he'll get better. Finally finished night 1. There were points in the main event six man that I legitimately LOL'd at. If you don't like comedy wrestling, you'd probably be well served to turn off the show after Hero/Liger. And you're probably a horrible person. Oh and fuck ZSJ's horrible selling. Falling to a seated position and staring off into space with a blank expression on your face. Awesome.
  8. Oh easily the best match on the card. Maybe Steamboat/Hernandez was #2? Fuck, what a bad show.
  9. Still working my way through night 1...I LOL'd when Excalibur & Chuck Taylor on commentary referred to Matt Sydal vs John Hennigan as a "rematch from ECW" and then broke down laughing. Jeff Cobb has a long way to go before he's a complete package, but watching him absolutely throw guys around is pretty fun.
  10. All "job creators" know that paying creditors, contractors, and anyone else listed in your AP is totally optional.
  11. I'm not sure what's worse: Seeing a NXT person get called up, get stuck in 50/50 booking limbo like 95% of the roster, and we still say "well let's wait and see how it plays out." Or Thinking there's a long-term plan for Bayley or anyone else and, in the off chance there actually is, that they'll stick to it. Come on dudes. They're rewriting the show the day of. Vince changes his mind more than a goldfish with ADD.
  12. "You keep asking for competition? Well at Wrestlemania, you'll face....The Undertaker!" only works if Teddy Long announces it.
  13. "Pitbull" is such a tired Vince-ism. Didn't they call AJ Styles that for about 5 minutes? GOD DAMMIT PAL LOOK AT EM HE'S SMALL AND TENACIOUS LIKE A PITBULL
  14. LOL as soon as I read that the creditor was an "importer/exporter," I knew this was coming.
  15. "Davey Richards is retiring soon" is this generation's "Yokozuna will join the Hart Foundation next week on Raw"
  16. WWE pulls this shit all the time with foreigners. They must consider their fans too dumb to remember non-'murican names.
  17. There's a joke in here about members of the religious right being partial to coathangers but I need to workshop it a bit.
  18. I image Al teaches them to bump and work on filthy half-inch gym floor mats from Modell's, all the while telling them that they have to earn the privilege of working in a real ring. And all the while he actually just doesn't want to pay for a ring.
  19. Is the trainees' first drill to clean the fucking mats? Holy fuck. Carnies gonna carny.
  20. (zooms in, ominous laughter)
  21. Re: Jesse and Austin, part 2. Was it well-known that Hogan was the one who stooged Jesse's attempt to unionize? That's so fucked up.
  22. I'm still partial to the original. It's funny to see the "group" pics after Superstar pulled out and Muraco is clumsily Photoshopped (whatever the 1987 equivalent of Photoshop was) into the pics.
  23. Old Bill is a low tech pile of crap and MiB pines for the days when the hosts were all gears and servos. I'm really starting to think the whole "30 years ago" thing is bullshit or a massive cheat.
  24. There are two problems with the "30 years ago" theory. 1. The main security guy was featured in both alleged timelines. But maybe he's a robot, too. 2. There have been references to the robots being not as complex 30 years ago and very easy to suss out as not being real. Nothing in the William and Logan storyline bears that out. All the robots they've interacted with are just as realistic and convincing as the "modern" ones. So they're going to need to ignore some plot points or jump through some ridiculous hoops for a lame gotcha if that's the way they're going.
