  1. I used to love Jericho, now I just want him to get off my damn TV set every every week. Pentagon Jr is the reall fuckin' deal! I always look forward to see what he does next, be it in ring or in a taped segment. He si the opposite of Jericho, as in I NEED more Pentagon Jr on my TV every week tothe point of I want to watch Pentagon Jr. wrestle Pentagon Jr! James
  2. Kairi Hojo went from someone I barely paid attention to (due to having dropped off in my Joshi viewing) to someone I can't get enough of. The Pirate Queen has becoem one of my favorites in the last 6 months, to the point that once one of her matches drops online I scour the net to find it. Tevor Lee, on the other hand, is Create A Wrestler C with Create A Wrestelr Moveset D James
  3. I hereby dub the fictional Adonis/Rose tag team The Adorable Playboys! James
  4. Ziggler's time was is long past me giving a shit about him, hell I'm almost offended he's in this. Zayn gets my vote and that's taking into account he worked 3/4 less of the year than Ziggler did. Zayn's 10 most recent matches stand out more than a whole year of Ziggler's. That speaks volumes James
  5. This is the "Inu-Yasha Voting Block of The DVDAR Opening Song Tournament" i.e. neither guy does anything for me so I debate if I should vote at all James
  6. Omega's matches, for the longest time, all seemed to run together in one blur of being the same. Taking over as BC leader has made him change it up but he still annoys me. Corbin has gone from "This guy is terrible" to "Wow! This guy is going to be HUGE!" in an amazingly short amount of time James
  7. This is my first foray int owatching Mike Bailey. I like him but he needs to grow on me. Ishikawa is oneo fthose guys that is alway around and always brings it. I'll be keeping my eye on Speedball for the future and see if these meet up again next year. James
  8. If I could vote for every pound Hama has on display this would be a blowout. Naito finally found a way to get over, sadly at the sake of his in ring talent. I want to make a giant Totoro sized plushie version of Hama and give it to my wife for our anniversary James
  9. I like the Revival (liked them better as The Mechanics) but aren't 100% sold on them. They are fun i nthe ring but don't compel me to religiously watch them the same way the guys people compare them to other teams do. Ibushi is always fun but when you get him in there with the guy that makes him up his game he delivers at maximum effort! Ibushi gets my vote James
  10. I kept telling myslef "I like Drago and Rey has had what looks like a pretty slow year (but hasn't), but a slow year with good matches". I kept telling myself I was voting Drago but then had a last second change of heart and went Rey. This is something I will regret later James
  11. American Alpha are grat and have te chance to really make people care about tag wrestling IF WWE don't screw them up when they hit the main roster. That my friends, is a mighty BIG if. My heart wants to vote for AA but my head tells me the Okayabashi has been like a top 10 guy for me since like 2013. In this argument the head wins. James
  12. I'd like to think that WWE and Hayes would tak Kevin Von rich to leave his tropical paradise to induct the Freebirds. I mean they are in Dallas after all James
  13. I'm way to intrigued by the matchups to not participate at this point and have been using my days off to watch at least one match from guys I'm unfamiliar with James
  14. They've been building ot this reveal for the last few seasons actually. The trimming of the beard just seals the deal baby James
  15. Think Tank might be my favorite new villain, simply because... well y'know M.O.D.O.K. James
  16. I dispute DEAN saying he hasn't liked a Minoru Tanaka match since BattleARTS. I remember vividly him loving the Takehiro Murahama match... but in all fairness that shit was from 4/20/2001 and DEAN is entering his dotage, so I guess I can forgive him this discretion, what with the match in question being 15 years old at this point. I haven't thought of that match in 10 years and it just makes me wonder why pocket shooter Murahama faded to obscurity (I remember something about quitting wrestling for actual MMA). I remember Liger was high on Murahama but couldn't get him to abandon Osaka Pro for some reason. James
  17. I'm assuming this thread is gettign shut down and if it isn't, may I ask why not? James
  18. Is this where we tell you to track down GAEA Girls and show you how Satomura trains prospects? (Nevermind, found it) Seriously though, Meiko has been amazing for the last 20 years at this point. If you just got hipped to her there plenty of Joshi heads on the board that can direct your new found appreciation of Meiko James
  19. RIPPA reciting Bayley's ring music (complete with hand waves apparently) made the Regal Bracket Vidoe that much more awesome! I'm going to have to watch some Trevor Lee since he is facing Hojo. Wish I had participated in the vetting process because I'd have tried to pimp Ozaki because she really has been killing it since winningthe JWP strap last summer. James
  20. I remember him having a fun TV match with Macho Man during Savage's IC run on Superstars. It looked like he was going to win but this was also during that period where savage was defending against midcard guys every week like his 2 matches with Billy Jack Haynes, where it lookdlike they were trying to make BJH a contender) James
  21. The Wife made me watch the first episode. I sat stone faced through the whole thing. I was never a TGIF guy, as by the time that programming block was really taking off I wrapping up my time at boarding school. Full House was way to saccharine for me, but then again I was still lamenting how The Misfits of Science got cancelled like 5 years earlier James
  22. When Koko first came in to WWF he had a decent little push and was hyped as a high flyer with a great dropkick. He didn't start jobbign hard until after a year or so. James
  23. See I don't really do MM. Amazing how getting slapped with a 30 day ban in 05 will do to prevent me from doing stupid things again. I'm friends with a few of y'all on FB. Not so much on Twitter. I really ought to finish like the 10 articles I started for Brave Blog/Exciting Hour but never finished James
  24. In all fairness, Lee only wrote Uncanny X-Men 1-19 after which Roy Thomas took over. The book was hovering around cancellation by the Arnold Drake run and when Roy Thomas returned, switching ot Bi-Mponthly after reprints AFTER Denny O'Neil did #65. The last Reprint was #93 in 1975 and the Giant Sized #1 by Wein came out same year.. The first 13 issues of Uncanny X-Men are actually pretty great. Especially #12-13 which introduce Juggernaut. James
  25. An Entire Episode of Pro-Wrestling This Week! Featuring ACTUAL FOOTAGE from Polynesian Pacific Wrestling (with possibly one of the worst matches I've ever seen!) PLUS DUMP & Bull v. JBA! James
