  1. The Wife is not usually a "comic book" project follower but she and I watched "Don't Watch The B In Apt 23" together and she agrred to watch Alias based on how much she liked Krysten Ritter. We marathoned all of Jessica Jones in a day, finished at 6AM Saturday morning. Our only regret is that so much has been laid out for a Season 2 that if for some reason that doesn't get greenlit I'll be annoyed James
  2. My gripe with the finish of Bock/Hennig 60 minute was the figure four spot. Hennig had been working the arm th whole match while Bock worked the leg, so for Hennig to suddenly go for a leg submission with a minute left killed the suspense for me. Even as a teenager I knew once they were down to less than 5 minutes that it was going tobe a draw, I just think Hennig going for a series of pins would've been better to wrap it up James
  3. Yeah the 60 minute match was from the Showboat and the title switch was at the Cow Palace. Both are really good matches, though the 60 minute match is a little better despite the goofy ending. The title change led to the match that ended the Zybysko/Bock feud and then Bock's injury angle that was done so he could jump to WWF (unless my brain is foggy) James
  4. Bret "The Hitman" Clarke would agree. I could only imagine how much WCW was pissing away on Michael Buffer. Buffer's standard fee was $1 million/appearance to my understanding. James
  5. My favorite Eddie promo was on RAW setting up his match with TheRock. Eddie btterly tells a story of going in to his daughter's room and seeing nothing but posters of The Rock everywhere and declaring him to be her favorite wrestler. Eddie then tells how he tore down the posters, disgusted that his own flesh and blood would betray him in a such a manner. It was really kind of brilliant James
  6. I mean, Sheiky Baby was the definition of transitional champion. Now thinking about it, I wish Sheiky Baby had "gone Hollywood" with a new gimmick. If he could've taken up Freddie Blassie's old gimmick and become "The Iranian Fashion Plate" it could've added years to his career James
  7. In the time it took me to watch the promo video the project made 10K. I'm all for a return BUT think getting a new guy to be on the SOL might be the way to go with Joel mainly writing James
  8. Apparently Iron Blooded Orphans can be mistaken as children's anime based on its title. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/interest/2015-11-09/scene-in-gundam-iron-blooded-orphans-causes-viewer-complaints/.95182 James
  9. I wished it on FB so I'll do it here (late)... Happy Birthday ya filthy Animal! James
  10. You can keep reading past High Society and its still good through Jaka's Story but wit and fun definitely take a nosedive. Unless you absolutely are a giant Oscar Wide fan you can probably skip Melmoth altogether James
  11. When I think of DVDVR I'm reminded of so many heads on poles. The purges help keep this place a little saner. I also hink of those who just plain gave the fuck up, thus making it better for the rest of us. James
  12. I'd say stopping after High Society is best. Its really Sim's creative peak (though he has a resurgence building to the big Cirin/Cerebus fight). High Society was probably the last time it was truly a fun book though. James
  13. 5 episodes in to Aziz Ansari's Master of None and it is a damn good watch so far. Netflix has another hit I think James
  14. Because we all need Jim Breaks smacking Dynamite Kid around in our lives! James
  15. Surprised so many people are fantasy booking Bray Wyatt. You're picking the wrong Rounda brother. Ya gotta BO-lieve! James
  16. I get hooked on Shonen Sports shows way to easily. Haikyuu!! is too much fun and I'm not even a volleyball fan! James
  17. I love the fact that at some super small indy in 2012 The Milkman blades like a freak when he really doesn't have to! James
  18. What's really scary is the fact that the DVDVR itself (not the message board mind you but the actual review) is turning 20 in like 2 years! James
  19. Its 2015 and I'm FREAKIN THE FUNK OUT to find a cage match with Jake "The Milkman" Milliman from 2012! James
  20. I almost forgot about the Reboot of Reboot... which I'm really kinda ticked about James
  21. All this along with JMS helmed reboot of B5... things are getting interesting in Sci-fi TV James
  22. "Old Men Shaking Their Fists Angrily At Wrestling" is just as good James
  23. At this point I think my dream garbage match would be Onita/Angle. Can even exploding barb wire contain Angle's penchant for trying to kill himself in the ring? James
  24. Gundam The Origin II - Artesia's Sorrow gives you more Sayla Mass than you probably need but she is one of those Gundam characters who gets overshadowed by her bug bad brother. Speaking of Char's we get to see his darkside develop/paranoia develop. Still has all the political intrigue of The Origin Part I, just lighter on the action. James
