  1. That was certainly interesting. Obviously it was a very important episode, with basically the whole series up to this point leading to the scene where they tell Paige the truth.
  2. I've been loving "Rain or Shine" since I first heard it. I'll have to give the whole album a listen. edit: Upon the first listen, my favorite songs are John Doe, Dare Me, and Sirens.
  3. Speaking of Donna Tartt, "The Goldfinch" is probably my favorite book I read last year.
  4. The next show that I'm going to is Bright Light Social Hour on April 18th. Should be a fun show.
  5. Phil Dowd may have suffered an injury. Cue the out of shape jokes.
  6. Berahino smashed in a volley from a long free kick 72 seconds in. Nice goal.
  7. The show last night was awesome! I can honestly say that I've never experienced anything like it before. I couldn't just feel the music in my body, it rattled my bones. I didn't know what to expect from the crowd on a Tuesday night, but it was pretty good. I'd say about 300 were there. I was talking to somebody there who saw them at Bonnaroo and said there were only like 30 people there to see Swans.
  8. Both of Jimmy's cons were fun and I LOL at roundhouse kick guy.
  9. bring earplugs but take them out for the finale you will know the finale because it sounds like a stooges song Thanks for the advice. I went to the drug store and picked up a pair.
  10. I am going to see Swans on Tuesday here in Cincinnati. I have never seen them live before and am pretty excited. We have had a snow storm here everyday here basically every day in the past week. I wasn't going to go if it was snowing that night, but it seems like it will be clear on Tuesday. So, I am glad.
  11. Has anybody seen the Taiwanese movie "Stray Dogs"? It was a very strange movie; full of long scenes where virtually nothing happens.
  12. Has there ever been a PK awarded earlier in a game? It was like 25 seconds into the Man City game.

    OSCARS 2015

I watched "Ida" last night. It felt like watching a movie from the 50s. Both visually and the pacing of it. The tone of the movie was very understated. The ending of the movie was ambiguous; the person I was watching it with saw it very differently. I enjoyed it, but it didn't feel like an Oscar winner.
  14. I didn't know they adapted Wolf Hall. I remember liking the book. Is it going to air in America?
  15. Yes, I liked NOS4A2 quite a bit. I remember the prologue, the scene at the prison hospital, being one of the creepiest things I've read.
  16. That fight between Elizabeth and Phillip was great. "it's happening". Then it goes straight into Yazoo. So amazing.
  17. It's pretty clear that they love Jessica Williams at TDS, but she doesn't have the experience to host the show. In terms of TDS contributors, I'd like to see Kristen Schaal get the job, but she's probably involved with too many other projects to devote herself to the show.
  18. Is anybody going to watch the new The Odd Couple? I don't know if it will be good/funny, but they do have a great cast. Thomas Lennon, Mathew Perry, Yvette Nicole Brown, Wendell Pierce.
  19. That was the strangest PK shoot-out ever. Both teams missed consecutive kicks. One of the GK cramped up in the middle. It got to the 11th round, where one GK had has PK saved before the other GK scores the PK to win the ACON.
  20. Wow... That 2nd Ivory Coast penalty kick. That was nowhere close.
  21. Anybody else going to watch the Africa Cup of Nations final?
  22. It's interesting seeing Song and Van Persie playing against each other since they formed such a good connection in RVP's final year at Arsenal.
  23. What's the deal with Obertan? It's like he's addicted to giving the ball away.
  24. Wow, Crouch's header was every bit as good as Harry Kane's from yesterday.
