Done with season 2 of Justified. Such a downer near the end of that season, but many people I wanted dead were all killed. Boyd's character arc is fucking awesome too.

Y'all could have just done what my buddies and I did, which was get together every Friday and Saturday and play Revenge, and later Wrestlemania 2000, and even later No Mercy, until 5 or 6 AM.

My girlfriend is a huge Helen Mirren fan and has every series of Prime Suspect on DVD. I've been curious about it so we watched the first series tonight and I dug it quite a bit. Watching it felt like seeing the template many other "modern" procedurals use. I also loved how everyone grew to love Mirren's Tennison character, whereas earlier on, things were so male dominated, she barely had a chance. The first series had me guessing until the very end too.

His passing also made me realize how much I LOVED Robin Williams as a kid. I loved Mork and Mindy, and along with Back to the Future and the Goonies, I think I drove my parents crazy by incessantly watching Popeye.

Many thanks EVA to the detailed explanation on the history of Justified. I assumed some of that to be the case, but I didn't know if it was just a hunch or what. In addition to the more serialized nature, the camera work and lighting all change as well. I'm loving the shit out of season 2 as well. Basically, from episode 8 of season 1 until now, it's been extremely enjoyable. My dream now is that with Justified and SoA both wrapping up at around the same time, we can get a new series with Deadwood, Justified, SoA and The Shield alums as regulars. Hell, put that one in the old west too, which yes, is difficult, considering all of the costs involved.

Joe Rogan told a story once about how, maybe a couple years ago, he was doing a set at the Icehouse or somewhere else and after the show Joe was doing a meet and greet with fans who want to come up after the show. So this old bearded guy comes up and is super complimentary to Joe and his act. Turns out it was Robin Williams and Joe didn't really realize it at first. He was just at the show and wanted to come up and tell Joe how much he liked his set. He didn't make it about himself, was really low key, and just wanted to show some appreciation.

I'm sure there will be more than enough PUGs that you won't need to really schedule anything.

I...this just sucks. I think part of what makes this hurt is knowing how long he's battled depression and how long he hurt despite bringing so much joy to so many. It really isn't fair.

Since Fez is free on the PS4 for PSN+ members, I downloaded that and lost about three hours to it. What an extremely fun and enjoyable game. I also had picked up Injustice on the PS4 when it was on sale for $8. I suck so hard at most fighting games, and Injustice is no exception, but the story mode alone is worth the $8. I'm about 4 chapters in.

Man, from episode 7 or 8 on, the first season of Justified is a completely different show and it's awesome. For a first season, that was an impressive last couple of episodes to close out season one.

As for an actual suggestion, I'd like to see WWE broken down into two seasons: Wrestlemania Season and the Night of Champions Season, moving Night of Champions to October. Obviously, SummerSlam and Survivor Series would remain as special events, akin to what the Royal Rumble is. However, with having two separate seasons, you can give some wrestlers much needed time off, whether if that is for the full season or only part of it. It also allows the WWE writers to mainly focus on writing story arcs for only 5 to 6 month periods since there's no way they can do that for a full 12 months.

I always thought of myself as a guy who appreciated Malenko, but now I look back and can't think of a match I want to watch. Keeping the list confined to the Network, what match would be the best example of a straight Malenko match? Just go and watch Malenko vs Scotty 2 Hotty from Backlash.

Justified is discussed in here because I feel it's a modern day take on a Western. Shit, the premise for the show is Olyphant's character being a 19th century lawman in a modern day setting. Also, the start of episode 9 has drunk Raylan picking a fight with two rednecks in a bar, he gets the shit kicked out of him, and he's pretty surly throughout. So that's nearly three straight episodes of surly Olyphant, the best Olyphant. I'm hooked. I also think there's a Justified thread, but I'm afraid to wander in there because of spoilerz.

It's so weird...What happened with that first season of Justified because so far it's in a vacuum, but episode 8, and really, episode 7, are tonally different from the episodes that preceded it. It feels less like a USA Network show and more like a FX show.
