  1. Hah...When I saw he went on the DL, the first thing I thought of was that there was a good chance he wouldn't be pitching when I go in mid-September. My tickets for that game were super cheap off of Stub Hub. For bleacher seats, it was $16 total. $5 for each ticket and $3 service fee for each ticket. Thanks Stub Hub!
  2. Look, I know they're going to finish with a sub .500 record; however, if I can watch the rest of this season without seeing Jackson, that is A-OK to me.
  3. Oh thank God. Edwin Jackson is on the 15 day DL with a "lat strain." And sadly, Starlin Castro is on the bereavement list due to a family member and some friends being killed in a car crash.
  4. Highly flawed? Explain please?
  5. Thanks for the info, Rippa. And to add to all of that, Jed Hoyer also agreed that the game should continue.
  6. He had a big fat .6 WAR with St. Louis...
  7. LOL
  8. Well, my feet stay under my desk so no one can see my Hobbit-esque feet.
  9. Well, you can get an Xbox One without Kinect...
  10. Hmmm...I never thought about this before, but will PS1 and PS2 games purchased over PSN not work on the PS4? If they do, then you can buy FPR on PSN for super cheap.
  11. He sucks so bad, I rather take 2014 Carlos Zambrano, wherever the fuck he is.
  12. HE SUCKS
  13. Additional fun Edwin Jackson information... So, Edwin Jackson sucks so fucking much that the Giants batted around in the first god damn inning last night. He's so bad though, that he was ordered to intentionally walk the 8th hitter to get to the pitcher...WALK. THE. 8TH. HITTER. Yeah. Just, fuck, just release the guy already and eat the contract.
  14. This continues to be the best thread. All the love.
  15. Same with my office. I usually just wear sandals or sit barefoot at my desk. The barefoot stuff is frowned upon, but that's mainly if you're walking around barefoot.
  16. Interesting thing I just saw: The Cubs are 46-52 in games not started by Edwin Jackson. In games started by Edwin Jackson? Oh, the Cubs are 39-57 and he has failed to get through 6 innings in 17 starts. Edwin Jackson is fucking horrible.
  17. Getting excited for this.
  18. Oh shit! Get it now!
  19. Well, I'm torn. Part of me says, "don't take a win in this way." The other part of me says the umps fucked up and the same thing just happened with the Yankees and Rangers. So for that game it's fine, but in this game it isn't? That's just such an MLB thing. I agree with your other points, though.
  20. That's some bullshit. I'm sure they cried about being in a pennant race.
  21. Oh, and it was over an inch of rain in less than 20 minutes.
  22. Also, if I were the Giants, I would worry more about their game today or their record since the All-Star Break.
  23. With meteorology being what it is, there's no excuse for why MLB doesn't have someone in place to radio umpire crew to say, "Hey, some serious shit is going to hit in 5 minutes. It may weaken, but let's air on the side of caution." I also thought it was game between the Yankees and Orioles. Oops.
  24. Here's the thing: The umps waited way too damn long to delay the game; Some light sprinkles turned into a torrential downpour in a matter of about a minute to a minute and a half; And when I say torrential downpour, I mean a biblical downpour; So much rain dumped in such a short span of time that the tarp weighed at least a ton, preventing the tarp from being moved into place; and What you are left with is what's on that video. There was also precedent for calling the game at this point because the exact same situation played out between the Yankees and Baltimore about four weeks ago. The Giants are protesting the game. Not a damn thing is going to happen though, and their sour grapes aren't going to do a damn thing.
