  1. Well, the whole point of my post was pointing out that you’re a dick, so I needed to leave it in there.
  2. Oh, I checked out hard on WWE a while back. I'm not watching the show, wasn't going to long before his involvement was mentioned. I was just giving my thoughts on the matter.
  3. I want to preface this with, I'm only speaking for myself and how I feel about the matter. I don't expect anyone else to feel the same way, and I'm not presenting what I'm saying as fact. Just my feelings on the matter. That said, I feel like it's different with WM in that with the McMahon family ties to the administration, it's more of an endorsement to have him there. Him being at the Super Bowl or National Championship game doesn't give me the indication that it equals the NFL or NCAA endorsing him, he's just there. It'll really depend on how he's presented. If he's in the stands and they just say he's there, that's one thing. If they make a big to-do of it, that's another.
  4. People might boo or something, but they'll keep watching. It doesn't matter at this point. If you're still on-board with them, I don't think that'll be a deal breaker.
  5. I made a decision a while back to make sure I never gave that company a dime of my money ever again, or even views on YouTube, nothing. Feeling pretty good about that decision lately.
  6. I'm honestly going to miss the energy he brought to that show, but it was getting sad to watch him. I don't think I can handle another season with McAfee on there.
  7. A room full of well-paid adults all agreed that a guy who pronounces "Liberty" as "Bibberty" was really funny and agreed to pay money to make it happen.
  8. Could've made your statement and left that part out, but had to be a dick, didn't you?
  9. She may be already, but I hope she's suing McAffee, too. And fuck ESPN and WWE for still giving him a platform after that shit. People have been fired for saying less on tv.
  10. That's the best kind of trailer, IMO. Can't make a lick out of what it might be about, but I'm damned intrigued.
  11. Kingston/Hero is legit up there with Flair/Steamboat, Misawa/Kawada, Lawler/Dundee, for my favorite pro wrestling rivalries of all time. Can't wait to listen to this!
  12. He’d go up behind people in public and put his hands over their eyes and say “guess who?” They’d turn around to see him and he’d say, “No one will ever believe you” and walk off. I think it’s pretty funny/clever, but whatever. My daughter (14) is a burgeoning film nerd and went to see this “ironically” with friends. She came out raving about how good it was.
  13. Yeah, but usually shitty things happen to the rich assholes, too, unlike real life. I avoided Succession for a long time exactly for the same reasons as you all. I’d now safely put it in the top tier of series I’ve watched.
  14. It’s more in the Succession vein of “look at these rich idiots/assholes” than “wow, aren’t these rich people great”. It’s not a celebration of those people, and things don’t go well for them. That said, I’d put season three of Lotus as the weakest of the three, but still enjoyable overall. Parker Posey and Walton Goggins were both great, no surprise.
  15. My daughter is a huge Michael Cera fan, and a burgeoning Wes Anderson head. My son and I have watched all of the MI movies over the past year. Looks like I may be taking a kid to an actual movie in a theater back-to-back weekends in May. Their mom is in the picture and I am still married to her. She will also be invited to both movies. Just not sure the boy will want to see the Anderson movie (though he liked Rushmore and LOVES Tenenbaums) and neither girl is into the MI movies.
  16. I had an extremely small part in the production of this movie. Used to work at a tv station. One day, one of our anchors asks me to help her record something and then get her the sound file to email to someone. We do it, I ask her what it's for, and she says someone she knows is working on a movie and wanted her to record something that would be used as a news report in it. Kinda forgot about it, a year or so later I'm watching this movie and hear a familiar voice. Then I remember that I recorded that. Somehow, my name wasn't on any of the awards submissions for the film.
  17. Everyone's pretty excited about WWE these days. Doesn't seem like rape apologist is a deal breaker for everyone.
  18. Now that Cena is heel, will he: 1. Continue to dress like an 11-year-old? 2. Be required to do the trademark WWE heel slow talk promo style?
  19. Grammatically, would it have made more sense that Keirn and Lane be called The Fabulous Two?
  20. Somehow, my tiny baby girl turned 14 today. New parents, people will tell you it goes by fast, and you will 100% think, "That's bullshit. These long nights up with the baby will never end.", but it's true. You blink and they grow up.
  21. If someone even "feels like" you did the things he's accused of, you fucked up.
  22. I really don't like Filoni's stuff he's done. It's like 90% "Hey, remember that guy from the cartoons? Here he is as a live character! Cool, huh?".
  23. An anchor in Bumfuck, Iowa would've pronounced it right. Same here. That line is the crux of the whole movie for me. I also agree with you that it's one of the best of this century.
  24. Here’s what the police said: In cop speak, the first comment often does mean suicide or murder-suicide. However, them saying “no foul play” usually means tragic accident. But they’re also leaving it open ended since they don’t know for sure. I’d lean toward something like carbon monoxide poisoning based on available info. I just recently went on a little Hackman kick watching The French Connection and The Conversation for the first time. He’s so great in both, and so different in his performances. Hoosiers is a big movie in our household with my wife being from Indiana. We just watched that with my son last month, and he loved it. My personal favorite will always be him as Royal Tenenbaum, though. He’s such a prick, but also funny and sometimes sweet. His stuff with Ben Stiller in that movie is so funny and touching.
