  1. No, it's Dolph swearing off of women because of AJ and hooking up with Big E. Dolph's a breast man then. If he were, he would never have hooked up with AJ.

  3. The money isn't coming out of TNA's budget. This is a Spike/Viacom deal where they're using TNA to cross promote Bellator, who they're investing a lot of money into. From TNA's perspective they can use these guys on Spike's dime to try and generate buzz for their wrestling product. The Tito deal with Spike/Bellator just came together within the last week or two. This was rushed to get him on TV and start promoting Rampage vs. Tito. I'm not really defending any of this, just correcting misconceptions. It just doesn't make sense to bash TNA for this stuff when they are beholden to Spike/Viacom. And the releases had nothing to do with this. TNA should insist that Spike pay for the Main Event Mafia to be flown out to the Bellator PPV and be shown in the crowd.
  4. That was just to keep Tenay from recognizing that TNA'a newest acquisition is the former anonymous Raw general manager.
  5. For DC, I'd be tempted to recommend The Movement or The Green Team-Teen Trillionaires. They are relatively new books not steeped in continuity, featuring characters who will probably leak out into the DC universe at a controlled rate, so you can follow them. Some of the solo books such as Wonder Woman are also not that dependent on the shared universe. For Marvel, I might suggest Hawkeye, which is a self-contained book featuring an important Marvel character who appears elsewhere. These aren't necessarily the best books (although people seem to really love Hawkeye), but they are books that won't have you running to the internet to look up characters.
  6. And when he's booked as a non-champion who is bigger than the belt, people complain that it makes the title look weak.
  7. Hasn't it been said that the McMahons are on TV more because the network wants them there?
  8. Imagine the final two in the 2014 Royal Rumble being Daniel Bryan and CM Punk. What should happen at Summerslam as the beginning of the road to that moment?
  9. If you're a fan of one of the TV shows or movies that have been continued in the comic book format, I'd consider starting there. Buffy, Star Wars, stuff like that. Or are you looking for the best book to ease your way into the larger shared universes of DC and/or Marvel?
  10. I think that really means "Doesn't care about what's recently come before". If you're enjoying a book and Grant Morrison signs on as the new writer, he's probably going to take the book in a different direction and tone, with a different understanding of the philosophical base of the character. I recall there being some negative reaction towards the beginning of Morrison's Batman run, which had Black Glove and the Batman RIP storyline. Hush and Under the Hood were relatively recent storylines before Morrison took over, so the criticism is coming from, um, fans who feel that digging deeply into past storylines is part of a zero-sum game that devalues the work of Jeph Loeb and Judd Winick? I don't know enough of X-Men history to know how to apply this framework to X-Men.
  11. I've never read Seven Soldiers, but I thought someone would have brought it up by now.
  12. Is there a match with anyone currently on the WWE roster that anyone actually wants to see RVD wrestle? Even though I loathe RVD, I'd be somewhat interested in Punk-RVD, but only because I want to see a straight edge vs pothead angle. Would RVD turning heel, aligning with Heyman, and feuding with Punk while sticking around long enough to be part of a Punk vs Team Heyman Survivor Series match be interesting to anyone?
  13. Now I want to see Grant Morrison bring back Wally West in Multiversity just to kill him off so I can see Brian Fowler's reaction.
  14. Given past history, I'm convinced that he would just regenerate like Wolverine or Cell and be back within a month. Based on precedent, it would take more than a month. He was injured in October 2007 and returned at the Royal Rumble. Was the expected 7-12 month recovery period a work or is he just that much of a freak? How long would Cena been champ if he hadn't been injured?
  15. Well, I am fantasy booking Sandow vs Rhodes in a briefcase s mustache match.
  16. "Sadistic" means that you like inflicting pain. I think you are looking for the term "masochistic".
  17. I've always thought that when they have Raw Roulette, they should have a well-groomed heel end up in a hair vs hair match with a someone who has a shaved head. They haven't done that, have they?
  18. Yes, no one even mentioned Lawler's wrong-way trip, I think.
  19. How many of those have physically attacked Vince?
  20. FTFY In my city, there are at least two local pancake houses I would go to before I would eat at IHOP, plus a local Italian restaurant that only serves breakfast on the weekend. (Who likes spghetti frittata?) I've also never been to an IHOP which had better than mediocre service.
  21. And if we had access to the old board, you could link to a post where you called it.
  22. I think you need an X Division wrestler who is not in the BFG Series.
  23. So, what you are saying is Superman Cena invites "Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex" thoughts when you consider him with his Bella?
