The match at Starrcade with Tully/Arn is a forgotten gem, mostly because the finish was necessary but still horrible. As far as widening the net to "Best match the Roadies were involved in", this discussion begins and ends with the first WarGames, with the Canadian Stampede 10-man passably in the conversation as well. What about narrowing the net to "Best match the Roadies were involved in where they were the best wrestlers"?

That'd be an interesting gimmick. High flyer who keeps missing on top-rope moves because he has a problem with depth perception, so he begrudgingly gets some awkward-looking goggles and starts nailing moves. Someone's had to have done that on the indies, right?

Well, Punk is elevated so unless the US Title is elevated by putting it on Brock, you won't see Punk slumming it to go after Dean Ambrose. I love Dean Ambrose, but IMO he really hasn't been pushed as a much of a singles threat if the rest of The Shield aren't around. That's what I miss about his solo FCW gimmick. Ambrose needs guys like The Miz, Christian, or Wade Barrett coming after him. Hell, make Fandango a face since he is so popular, quit jobbing him out, and let him have a run at the US title. Dean needs an extended singles feud with somebody so we can get a few more of those crazy fucking promos that got him called up in the first place. Feed RVD to him to build him up, then give him an extended feud with Mark Henry.

They can have Orton cash in his briefcase before Survivor Series and have him defend against someone who is not Bryan or Cena, while those two are part of a traditional Survivor Series elimination tag match with the Shield on the other side. Not sure who fills out the teams, though. Henry, the Usos, and the Tea Party Real Americans? CM Punk, RVD, the Miz, Brock Lesnar, and Curtis Axel?

If she has some other women to throw at her, so they can save Big E. as the last boss Kharma has to get through before getting to AJ. Kharma having Big E. get in her way, taking a second, to think if over, and then knocking him off his feet as AJ looks on in terror would be outstanding. What they need to not do is have AJ make the whole thing about funny videos calling Kharma ugly or fat. Such stupid crap should have no effect on her whatsoever. AJ should just be putting obstacles in her way and never going on the offensive with skits and shit. If you have that feud and go that route, I think you need to have AJ try to do something psychological at least once, just so Kharma can no-sell it. Plus, AJ can flip out about things not working.

They should have Curtis Axel cut a promo on Punk that includes showing a video full of Punk failures which refers to him as Mr. Imperfect.

Maybe Kaitlyn is a placeholder while they negotiate on a return for Kharma.

That's why I think it would be interesting if they went with the "controversial" finish of DB busting out a new submission move to make Cena tap, but Bryan's shoulders being down and the ref counting three at the same time that Cena taps.

Sadly it will just be a chance for Cena to do the noble thing and not grab the pin. Ugh. yeah. Shield attacks, Cena grunts "Not like this! Not like this!" then they attack him and Bryan takes the win, THEN Orton cashes in. Worst possible outcome. Almost certainly happening. Would you prefer that the Shield attacks and gives Cena the triple power bomb, Bryan covers, Cena kicks out, Cena recovers and makes Bryan tap, Orton comes out to cash in his briefcase and fails?

Welcome everybody to the Raw Maesters thread. I thought it was interesting how Cena was obviously thrown off his game a bit by the failure of the crowd to chant "you can't wrestle" like they were supposed. I think that promo showed how Cena is better than the rest of the roster because I don't think they adjust that well and I think Cena made some adjustments in his promo. Punk needs to raid the WWE warehouse and see if they find any leftover balsa wood chairs from the WCW stash and hit Brock over the head with one. Is Ricardo going to disappear (future endeavored?), join someone else, become an active wrestler (the cheaper, Mexican equivalent of A-Ry?), or go crawling back to ADR?

Do time limit draws count towards this? There are a ton of great time limit draws. I suppose they do. The unstated context though is that it's been reported that Cena-Bryan is supposed to be an attempt to produce an epic match and I am wondering if they can do an epic, five-star match with a non-finish (not some run-in causing a DQ) that inevitably leads to a rematch. What's the best title match that ends in a double-pin resulting in the title being held up? Imagine Randy Orton coming out to cash in his briefcase in that scenario and being confused as to who he should attack.

What are the best matches to end in a no-contest, double DQ/count-out, or other result that doesn't have a clear winner? Ideally, I'd be looking for a match where the outcome is seen as the "right" booking decision and isn't a disappointing finish that takes away from the quality of the match.
