I'm over the level cap (lvl20) and I still got the rest of the game's story to play! The comic perfectly describes my experience with Destiny -- the drops in this game freakin' suck. I've noticed there are fewer players I'm finding in the main game online as a result and in Crucible as well. I say 'phooey' to you Bladedancers. You aren't Michael Flatley. Empty your clips like real men.

Just did the Summoning Pits. It felt like a Dark Souls boss battle.

I would love to attempt the Flawless Striker trophy but every time I've done it someone else dies and not me. And I'm a lvl18 at this point and still doing story missions for lvl10's.

I had nightmares from that section. It was so great. Oh and I did it. I now have a Platinum trophy in Killzone 2.

I'm finally getting better at The Crucible. I guess most of the cheaters/hackers are gone now. It mystifies me how this game is getting a 75 MetaCritic average. I just did a Strike tonight and it is the most amazing thing I've ever done -- now to do this with clan members and without dying (UGH).

Well, I don't have a problem with him playing Crucible, just being a lvl20 & playing Crucible. The level 20+'s should have their lobby/better matchmaking since at that point it would be more balanced, fair, and (ideally) more dependent on individual's skill levels. The plus side to it, most of the lvl20's are legit players and aren't abusing glitches from what I've seen. I was able to get kills on them as a lvl8 Hunter. It's not like how it was at launch.

Well, I finally got granted unemployment after being let go from my previous employer. After making a huge mistake (which I readily admit to making and had apologized to my boss regarding my actions), my boss informed me that she was letting me go because she 'wanted someone more reliable' and then cited several reasons that she never discussed with me before. I noticed that every time I would even ask her a question to clarify my understanding of something before I did it, she would get frustrated and in some cases angry. The Tuesday before I got let go she angrily answered a question and stormed off. And it's not like I was asking her questions all the time -- just once in awhile. She made me feel like she thought I was a blithering idiot no matter how hard I tried to prove her otherwise.

Bungie really needs a level 1 - 10 matchmaking asap for the Crucible. It would be more fair (Sony did this with Killzone Shadowfall as part of their beginner's warzones). I messaged one level 20 guy telling him that overleveled guys like him ruin the multiplayer experience for the rest of us (I was a bit rude about it). The response I got was "if Bungie didn't want us to use [no level bonuses] it wouldn't be in the game." Also private matches would be great too.

Yeah, I noticed that too. I would really love to see a "Young Dr Who" series since that seems to be the direction Moffat wants to go. It would give the Doctor a romantic interest (the penultimate female companion that has the qualities of Martha, Clara, Rose, and Amy), would allow a younger man to play the Doctor, and would have someone that's older that the Doctor serves under before he became the Doctor. A "X-Men First Class" for this in a lot of ways. My point is as much as I liked the Impossible Girl storyline and liked the 11th Doctor & Clara together, they really should move on.

Great episode if you overlook what it's setting up and realize that it's basically about nothing. Not sure how I feel about

More than likely, abuse the infinite ammo glitch that lets them level up to the level cap faster.

Most players doing PvP on the Crucible are absolute assholes. Fuck every single one of them. I would like to Platinum this before the server shutdown so stand perfectly still while I headshot you. Jerks.

There's 62 total. Guy on Youtube that does trophy/achievement tips has a video up with most of the locations. I finally got my PS4 copy this week -- so I know what I'm doing after I Platinum Killzone 2.

The thing I don't get is the NFL's response to players' actions. Michael Vick has a dog fighting ring in his backyard and obtains gambling earnings. Dog fighting is bad in and of itself and it is morally reprehensible. He gets suspended indefinitely because Roger Goodell doesn't what dog owners to be (naturally) offended. Aaron Hernandez is a friggin' serial killer and the NFL of course bans him for life. Other players smoke weed (which doesn't hurt anyone except for nuts and the dumbass smoking the weed) but get 6 games suspension. If it went the wrong way, Ray Rice could have murdered Janay Palmer. Ray Rice acts like what he did was minor setback but looking back at the press conference it didn't make him look good (not to mention that his wife's body language said 'battered spouse'). Why is the NFL all of a sudden not knowing what the hell is going on? Why is it with everything the NFL has tight control over the players and seemingly know everything that's going on, but in this case they don't know if a tape given to them was seen and don't cite a TMZ video as credible?

Can't develop it? Just buy it, it's the Microsoft way. Between this and Rise of the Tomb Raider holiday exclusivity and Microsoft's seemingly light first-party schedule for 2014 & beyond, Microsoft is in full-on panic mode. Everything they need to do is right there, they just won't do it. This is the same company that sent someone during Rare's presentation of Banjo-Threeie who spent most of his time ignoring it and fucking around on his cell phone. I want Microsoft to do better than this. I really don't understand the complaint here. Sony and Nintendo have bought studios and exclusives before. Exclusive games are the best way to sell your console. "Full-on panic mode"? You know, the X-Box One is currently the 2nd fastest selling console is history. Only one console ever has sold more this early in its lifespan. That console is the PS4, of course. Microsoft is in 2nd place, but they aren't striking out here completely. Everything's fine. Well, my point is look at Sony and their first party studios and look at Microsoft and their first party studios. Sony seems to be more willing to take risks and you see games like The Order 1886 (Ready At Dawn), Driveclub (Evolution Studios), Bloodborne (FROM Software), Uncharted series and The Last Of Us (Naughty Dog) and Heavy Rain (Quantic Dream). I'm not saying Sony is successful with this -- no, far from it. You have strikeouts like Puppeteer which sadly didn't set sales on fire. Microsoft doesn't have anything like that or seem to be as willing to take risks. Black Tusk Studios was developing an original IP....just to get that pulled and have to work on another Gears of War. I guess whoever they pitched it to wasn't paying attention and was playing around on his Windows Phone. BigPark Studios is just making XBLA games and Kinect games -- Microsoft could put them on a Xbox One game if they wanted to (and I don't mean JoyRide II). And we all know about Rare Studios. Hopefully, Quantum Break will sell really well and Scalebound will be a game that Microsoft needs. Microsoft can't just survive on Halo, Forza, and Gears of War forever. Really what Microsoft needs is their "The Last Of Us." I don't just mean a similar setting or storyline, but something unique and new to their identity. People bought a PS3 because of The Last Of Us and that's relatively recent. Microsoft did indeed sell a lot more and I have high hopes for Sunset Overdrive (if I would buy a Xbox One, it would honestly be for this). But 2015 and beyond....I don't know if Microsoft can continue and not slip. Maybe they should buy Nintendo....seriously.

They spent $500 million on this! Why not? /firstworldproblems Honestly, I do know that it is difficult to cross play....different handling of the network traffic on each system, not to mention that it would be a severe drop for the PS4 version to play with PS3 owners and just overall different architecture. I may end up getting the digital PS3 version, but I really really wanted the PS4 version and its packaging. Some of you PS3 owners hurry up and buy a PS4!

Quick question: Is Destiny cross-platform play (i.e. PS3 players can play with PS4 players and vice versa) or is it locked to each system? EDIT: Found my answer and it's not good. Apparently you can't do cross-platform play. IF you want to get PS4 version for free with their current offer, you have to buy a digital version of the PS3 version and redeem it on your PS4 (also a digital version). It doesn't appear to work on boxed retail copies (which would have been a cool gesture). It's 2014, I don't see why cross-platform play and cross-buy regardless of method isn't in effect. Bungie is for the fans, while Activision isn't. Two dick moves all at once. Never change Kotick, never change.

Yeah, I love the new Doctor completely but most of the stories (except for Into The Dalek) seem to be really bad. I think Listen will be a great episode (instead of "Are you my mommy?" kids with gas masks it's hands grabbing you from under a bed). What's weird is it feels a bit like Series 1 with Ecceleston but 'updated.'

Screw it, getting Destiny tonight. Now I gotta power through the trophy list between now and 2020.

It's not THAT bad. .... Yeah, it's pretty bad especially if you go for the trophy related to it AND do it on Impossible difficulty if you care about Platinums.

Peer pressure purchases are never a good thing. *looks at my backlog* Yeah.

I'm planning on getting Destiny, but it may be at Christmas/Black Friday if at all.
