Yes, an RTS game. Supposedly not too bad either.

More time on Rainbow Moon: Some of the reviews I read of it mentioned insane difficulty spikes at times and I just ran into that. I went from never taking any damage in combat to having multiple guys die but still winning fights to having my entire part wiped out without even getting a single turn in no time flat. Kinda annoying but I'll just go level up elsewhere and come back to that spot. Oddly, much like happened with me playing Ni No Kuni, I have found myself falling asleep a few times while playing. Unlike in that game, however, falling asleep has absolutely no effect in Rainbow Moon. If you're not actively moving the controller, the game world completely stops and the game itself eventually pauses. Last night I had just finished dying in the above massacre when, next thing I know, it's 5 hours later and I'm waking up wondering what just happened.

Naughty Dog is working on Uncharted 4 and The Last of Us Remastered - they ain't announcing anything new.

Yeah, I'm curious to see how this version compares to the Kirk Cameron version from 2000. I haven't read the books but I think the general concept of the story is great. And who can forget the Left Behind video game?

See that a couple times a year. It's not so much that he has a great arm - which he does - but that he plays on turf, the ball was hit straight at him, and a slow runner didn't hustle out of the box. I've seen Ichiro make the same play. It's pretty embarrassing for the hitter.

Pretty sure Greg Maddux chose to not throw a strike.

Best player in 99 probably but Bernie was better in 98. Better year at the plate and a lot better defensively. Other than 99, Bernie was pretty much always better. But, yeah, Jeter is a HOF'er.- and yet I'm not convinced Bernie is. Shows how important position is, eh?

I know exactly what you mean. I'm sure it'll be entertaining and all that but... it's like a mish-mash of a bunch of other movies I've seen before.

Was reading an article about pitcher's arms and one of the commenters mentioned a June 14, 1974 game featuring Luis Tiant vs Nolan Ryan. The game went 15 innings, with Ryan throwing the first 13 innings, while allowing 3 runs, striking out 19 and walking 10. Supposedly he threw 254 pitches. Tiant meanwhile pitched a 14-1/3 inning complete game, losing the game in the bottom of the 15th. The game lasted just 4:02. Ryan went out and threw 6 shutout innings against the Yankees four days later.

Ugh. "He was the best player in baseball for a good 10 years straight" That's hilarious. During Jeter's best stretch, he wasn't even the best SS in his league let alone best player in baseball. To be fair, he a run where he was REALLY great (like 1998-2000) but some dude named Alex was even better. I think we can all agree that Jeter's dating diamond tops, well, pretty much everybody other than maybe George Clooney.

That's if you're dating Tawny Kitaen.

Oh how I long for the days when screens weren't cluttered with network logos, a ticker at the bottom, the score on-screen all the time and graphics all over the place. Hell, I'd settle for ESPN going back to the :28:58 ticker they used to do instead of it on-screen all the time.

And then there's Dino Costa posting entire articles on the front page of his web site without attribution - and then saying you have to be a mental midget to think he's taking credit for the work. Say what? I hope he gets sued into oblivion.

After kicking around the idea for a long time, I've decided I want to try the pro version of Rock Band 3. Problem is, for whatever reason, the PS3 version of the game runs $40-$50 used. It's "rare", I guess, if 10-20 copies always on Ebay equals rare. The pro guitar actually can be found for even less than the game. I don't plan on splurging for the actual Fender guitar anytime soon. $200-$300? No thanks. So, if anybody has Rock Band 3 and/or a pro guitar controller for the PS3 they wanna get rid of, gimme a holler.

According to this list Serenity is the 90th best movie of all time. That's probably one of the biggest WTFs on there. I think having two of the Star Wars movies in the top 6 is a pretty big WTF right off the jump. And both of them 140+ spots higher than Toy Story 3? Uh, no.

That must've been one helluva party for your garbage to smell that bad and you STILL don't remember it.
