Does anybody else have the feeling that last year's Rumble match was better than this year's?

There was one point in my Twitter feed saying that perhaps Natalya should have a stable modeled after Jem & the Holograms https://twitter.com/prowresonly/status/559527120305545218 I was thinking this stable should ben Nattie, Paige, Alicia Fox, and Becky Lynch.

This was great until Daniel Bryan got eliminated. Then the crowd started to rebel. That RR match was even worse than last year's, and I thought last year's was terrible.

I think the G1 final won match of the year. Onita won the fighting spirit award. That's all I remember.

It's basically old school UWF rules. Match can be won via knockout or submission. -

Think it will be 7pm for the replay, but 2 or 3 am if you want to watch it live. -
Does anyone know why CMLL doesn't allow blood? I saw a few matches from the early 1990s that had blood, but why doesn't CMLL allow it now? Also, we don't they allow brawling in the crowd?

This is WWE, did anyone expect anything less? I mean, they make Dusty Rhodes look like a competent booker when he really wasn't. I had to give up on the Monday Night Wars. A lot of that stuff didn't happen the way WWE says it was. Like everyone else in this thread has said, it's basically a WWE-version of what happened. -
I've got both the Destruction in Okayama show and the King of Pro-Wrestling show. I haven't had the time to watch either of them. So I ask you all, can I go ahead and skip the Destruction in Okayama show and jump straight to the KOPW show? Or better yet, is there matches from the Okayama show I should watch before heading to KOPW? Any help greatly appreciated.

With the news of Kensuke Sasaki retiring, it's only fitting I put this match up. The chop battle is still boss. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-7IGJ2G90A

I think Vince Sr. is but Jess isn't.

I figured it was nice that Lita was going in. I realized later that she was going in before Miss Elizabeth. *rolls eyes*

Watching the recent New Japan show from 2/2, I got to thinking when did Ryusuke Taguchi get the idea to have the look of a Japanese Eddy Guerrero?

WWE music composer Jim Johnston is going to be on the podcast. That should be a good listen.

Your Wrestling Observer Match of the Year for 2013 is...
Attila The Hut replied to Attila The Hut's topic in JAPAN
I figured either this or the KOPW match would win it. But I still haven't rewatched both of the matches to make a reasoned judgement over which deserves the award. -
Kazuchika Okada vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi from April 7, 2013 at New Japan's Invasion Attack show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lr_YrShl3bw (I realize this has already been discussed, but I wanted to put the match here so people could see it)

This is from Ditch's page on All Japan and the Tokyo Dome: "Despite how popular All Japan was in the early-mid '90s, with Budokan shows selling out well in advance for years in a row, Giant Baba refused to do Dome shows because he didn't ever want to have one show be so big that it made Budokan cards seem small. When he finally consented in '98 they drew 48,000 despite being well past the peak of popularity."
