  1. Some of these aren't really burials, guys.
  2. I watched part of the April 1996 RAW with the Warrior return interview. Yoko/Vader was fun since Yoko busted out a Samoan Drop on Vader. Yoko was blown up quick though, which isn't surprising. Vader went after the leg and they needed a forklift to cart him out, which was quite a sight. Then, the Warrior came out and knocked the shit out of Goldust. Warrior swore twice which was different for the time. I'm left wondering if the Goldust gimmick would work as well today since homosexuality was more taboo in 1996 than it is now.
  3. "Belt" is also out? Fuck me... Dude, that's old news. Everyone knows the WWE World Heavyweight Championship Title is not meant to hold up one's pantaloons.
  4. Watched the latest episode of RAW 1993, or parts of it. I wanted to see Backlund fight Horowitz (not Adam, but Barry), and I got Randy Savage going nuts on Crush. This felt like a giant fight and this is the kind of thing I wish Bryan had done to HHH back in August after SS. It's simple logic that after having been destroyed by Crush that Savage would want to kick his ass, and he did. He didn't come out smiling or spray painting Crush's neon car. No, he just attacked him like a man. He even threw Vince out of the way. Savage was intense and Crush looked like a guy doing an act though. Also, the Backlund match was completely ignored after a commercial break. The fans got to choose who Pierre/CPO would fight, and I vote Lex Luger, for some reason. Although, I wouldn't mind seeing him in a match with the Kid. We'll see in a day or two.
  5. Triple H's flowing locks are amazing, plus, Jindrak is fucking huge!
  6. I'm amazed at the reactions to Taker losing. Some of these dudes are almost in tears. It was shocking but not that shocking. How do they handle death? By their head exploding or something maybe.
  7. Imagine how awesome it would have been if he immediately got up and kept dancing after being eliminated.
  8. Overall, this was a fantastic Mania, besides a couple filler matches. Bryan/HHH was the match of the night, easily, and I knew that right away. Brock/Taker was worse than I expected but the finale was amazing. I imagine it was similar to Koloff beating Bruno back in the day. I never expected him to win and I have to think Taker is going to retire now, or at least, he'll never work another Mania again. Bray/Cena told a good story but was sluggish. I missed the Divas shit and the 6-man Shield match, for bathroom breaks. The Warrior coming out sans face paint was a let down. Also, Cesaro winning the battle royal was awesome, especially with the Mania 3 slam and the really giant swing. Here's to hoping he'll finally get a big push this year. I couldn't get into the main event as much as I would have liked due to technical problems. The vast majority of the PPV saw no problems but that match was skipping backwards and forwards like crazy, which disconnected me from the match. Thankfully, the last few minutes worked fine, and Bryan had his great moment. He seemed to actually get the biggest reaction of the night, even bigger than Cena. It was a nice sight to see that sea of humanity doing the Yes points/chants. I was surprised he pinned Batista actually. I thought he'd pin Orton to set-up a Batista re-match at the next show. I guess that doesn't mean the re-match won't happen. The last two Mania's, for me, were one or two match shows but this was better, and some of the stuff was unexpected. My only complaints were the technical shit but it was far less than I expected.
  9. I'm not too sure on how I feel about tomorrow's live stream. Lately, I've had problems with VOD stuff a little and I have to imagine anywhere from 100,000 to 500,000 people will be logged in tomorrow night. This could end up a big disaster. MLB.tv is a good company but I highly doubt they have that many people watching a live game at once. They probably have their most users during the free game of the day but I can't imagine it's going to be as many as Mania will have.
  10. Masked wrestlers wearing reading glasses over their masks is wrestling
  11. Uh, there's a big difference between a first edition and a cheap reprint or e-book. It's a bibliomaniac thing, you wouldn't understand. (Hmm, maybe that should be my new sig?) Ok, makes sense.
  12. Where the hell is Hooker $150? Crowbar's site has it at $10.
  13. Maybe it'll be Leno. Think of the irony.
  14. Good lord no. I'm hoping for Conan. His contract is up in 2015, as well, and he seems like a natural successor. He'd be good competition for Fallon going after the young demographic. He might get lower ratings than anyone but that don't mean squat.
  15. Today, we get a huge ECW TV update and a couple RAWs. Very impressive update. I guess I need to be patient with this service.
  16. Actually, I looked on Reddit and they added several ECW TVs, so I stand corrected. I just want my damn Martel/Ramon, I guess! EDIT:For anyone wondering, just search for the subreddit, wwenetwork. Someone usually posts what is new every day there.
  17. I checked the schedule for the week. Admittedly, I didn't check ECW or WCCW stuff but we're getting no old WWE shows or house shows until at least Monday.
  18. This week's schedule looks horrible, in terms of old shows. I just got done watching the RAW with the IC Title Battle Royal and now I want to see Martel/Ramon and I've got to wait until at least next week. Of course, it is Mania week and they've got a lot of live stuff but I'd still love it if they'd put a couple old shows up.
  19. A guy like Punk shouldn't be settling down. Has Bruce Wayne ever settled down? Sam Malone tried it and it didn't work out very well. Read the signs Phil.
  20. I realize everything you said but we've got over 1000 episodes of RAW alone to go through, going at a rate of 5-7 per week. Factor in all the other shows that they're not even airing right now. How many episodes of the 6:05 TBS shows are out there? How many SD's and Nitros? I just want things a little quicker. For the SD's, we're only getting a couple per week.
  21. Am I the only one disappointed in the content of the Network? Everything is going up way too slow for my liking and I'm not sure I'll resub in 6 months. I really like watching some of the old Smackdowns and I want to watch more but they're not there. I knew it all wasn't going to be up this soon but I thought it would be a little faster. By the time we get some of this stuff, it'll be years, if we even get it.
  22. RVD was a real spectacle in 1999. He liked to ham it up for the cameras a lot and he seemed like a big star in a small company. His match with Balls was pretty decent and Balls worked hard for being a big guy. Fonzie really helped out RVD in the match and he probably would have lost without him. The 3-way title match was good but stiff. It's hard watching Tanaka taking those chair shots. As a teen, I loved that shit though. Gotta love that Awesome mullet and that stare he always had. This was like every other Tanaka/Awesome match and it makes me want to watch their ONS match. I still think Lynn/Storm was the best match on the show.
  23. Saw the 6-man in the beginning and the crowd was nuts for the faces. Pretty decent match and Sting looked great for 1987. Larry Z was awesome but seemed like a bit of an afterthought out there. Windham/Williams started off great but the finish was abrupt and Windham's shoulders weren't even down for the pin. It's like a premature ejaculation but instead of during sex, it's a wrestling match. It was going fine and built up well and then wham, it's over.
