The Marvel Things That Aren't "Marvel" Things
TheVileOne replied to RIPPA's topic in "COMIC BOOK" MOVIES & TV
Isn't that close to, "How about Su---" from Man of Steel? I don't remember the Avengers gag. It's different. It personally annoyed me too...but for Fant4stic to have the audacity to do it as well just enraged me. Perhaps as a filmmaker who has had to face his own demons of the Hollywood system, Smith really feels sorry and empathetic for Trank's plight. Believe it or not, there was a time where it almost seemed like Smith was a Hollywood/comedy god and was going to take over the place.- 2,183 replies

I think Trank wanted to make Chronicle 2 not Fantastic Four. He should've just made that movie instead of trying to mold Fantastic Four into this super serious sci-fi body horror David Cronenberg thing.- 2,183 replies

I disagree with Kermode a lot, but I do enjoy his reviews and review style overall. Can't deny his intelligence and eloquence either. The way he ripped into Entourage in particular was hilarious. More fun with Deadpool- 2,183 replies

My official review if anyone is interested. I do not speak lightly when I say this is worse than Batman & Robin, worse than Elektra. Worse than Howard the Duck.- 2,183 replies

I feel like this was destined to happen, but at least we are getting some dumpster fire thread-style hilarity out of it. I'm not even upset anymore. Just sitting back and enjoying the trainwreck for once.- 2,183 replies

I think it just would've been more hard, gritty realistic Cronenberg body horror type of stuff. Like the horror of getting these powers and what it would do to your mind psychologically. Also smart kids getting bullied. For whatever reason, Rob Liefeld is getting very defensive and acting like a protective mama bear for Fant4stic on Twitter. I don't understand why, but I assume it's solidarity with Fox because they are finally releasing Deadpool?- 2,183 replies

Cyborg still looks like she is abusing steroids. Her jaw and head were not that big 6 years ago. I'm not trying to be cruel, but she looks like Antonio Silva now. That is what steroids do to women.

Someone already made this: Well, well, well: http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/live-feed/fox-deal-x-men-live-813542 "[For] X-Men, we're in negotiations with Marvel. We're hopeful we'll be able to announce something soon. We're not closed on a deal yet but it's something we're definitely pursuing," Fox Television Group chairman and CEO Dana Walden told THR on Thursday at the Television Critics Association's summer press tour stop.- 2,183 replies

Just got through watching Tiger & Bunny: The Rising. I can't help but feel a little let down. Literally nothing regarding Ourobouros. It was really just a filler plot with little in the way of actual development. The drama with Fire Emblem's backstory was good though. I feel like all the drama with Tiger was a rehash from late in the show's first run. However, I still hope there will be a second season where the Ourobouros issue is addressed.

Fox earns nothing by holding this back another 7 years. They make no money off of it. In other words, this property is a bargaining chip for Disney. They could trade this with Disney for something else. Possibly TV rights to X-Men or something like that. Maybe merchandising profits or something similar. Here is one example. In 2011, Sony opted to take full control and profits of the film rights of Spider-Man. What did Disney get in return? Literally all the merchandising rights and profits for Spider-Man, meaning Sony got jack squat of that when they launched Amazing Spider-Man. Sony attempted to do a Spider-Man Cinematic Universe. That failed, and now they are co-producing Spider-Man with Marvel, and Marvel gets to use Spider-Man for the MCU. EDIT: More fun stuff.- 2,183 replies

Marvel Cinematic Universe: Phase I Discussion
TheVileOne replied to RIPPA's topic in "COMIC BOOK" MOVIES & TV
Origin stories are boring. The advantage comic book movies should have is that the better stories are the ones that come after the origin. The origin often becomes an obligatory almost mandatory story you just want to get over with. -
I guess all the fans were responsible because we asked for it basically. So, technically we are partly to blame.

I don't understand how Cyborg got that prime air space on Sports Center. And all she did was make a fool of herself and parrot the same shit she has for years.
