  1. I hope any potential Paramount acquisition doesn't kill Strange New Worlds. Just as an example, the Discovery acquisition killed a lot of WB shows, especially animated ones, even ones that got renewed. Plus we all saw what happened to Batgirl and Coyote vs. Acme.
  2. That last episode was brutal. I badly needed a hug after that.
  3. What does it matter if there were loud **** CM Punk chants? That doesn’t make this show less of a dumpster fire. It’s a weak attempt at a defense by Meltzer for something he knows was garbage.
  4. I respect your view on this, but if AEW can't move on from this over eight months later, how are they ever going to be able to move on at all?
  5. I believe AEW firing CM Punk was the correct decision. He clearly didn't want to be there, and his presence backstage was a problem. And frankly, I think Tony Khan announcing his termination and doing it live in front of the fans in Chicago right before All Out was also a gutsy move. He went in front of a hostile pro-Punk crowd and laid the whole thing out, and I think that was the best way to address it at the time. Otherwise, the fans could've hijacked and ruined the whole show. Khan addressing it right then basically nipped it in the bud and let the fans get out all their aggression and disappointment about Punk right then. That should've been the end of it. Wrestling fans being what they are are never going to let this go. This is going to continue being a story 25 years from now just like the Montreal Screwjob. You will have this side going with this side, this side going with that side. However, AEW dredging this up again when almost everyone wants to move on did not help. Tony Khan is clearly taking Punk going back to WWE personally. He's taking that Helwani interview personally and it shows. Khan letting everyone know he's shaken by all this and letting it affect his product is a waste of time. AEW used to be the shiny new toy and internet darling. That period is over, and Tony Khan can't stand it.
  6. Seth Rollins and Will Ospreay infamously had an online Twitter feud about five years ago. Seth Rollins tried to dismiss Ospreay by calling him "Little Guy." Baron Corbin also got involved.
  7. They weren't even involved in this. That's how stupid all of this is.
  8. What AEW did tonight was pathetic, petty, nonsense. Trying to tie it into Young Bucks versus FTR was moronic. It served no one and it helped no one. Tony Khan proved Punk right by airing that footage. He’s a spineless clown. What did AEW gain in any way by airing that? They won’t even book Jack Perry on TV anymore. This was a disgrace. There is no coming back from this ever. Embarrassing trash.
  9. One thing is I don't care for plucky babyface Jade. I think she needs to be baddie Jade just in WWE. And if she can just get her spots in and crush a bunch of women like cans, I think that can work. The key will be once she gets in there with a top-level women if they can have a believable match for the WWE audience on a PLE.
  10. Even *IF* it's real, and even *IF* it does contradict Punk's comments, it's still low-class Springer show garbage. Utter pathetic nonsense.
  11. Tony Schiavone who voiced on his own podcast that he's sick of this and wants to move on and doesn't want to talk about it. I doubt he likes how this is going right now.
  12. There's no moving on from this. Ever. And that's not how NDAs work.
  13. He had reporters asking him about this before and it’s always, “Sorry I can’t talk about it.” He’s spineless.
  14. So business as usual for AEW.
  15. It’s clearly a heel troll job by Young Bucks. Look at the graphic. It says nothing of Punk and Perry.
  16. I think the lack of a hot wired crowd hurt tonight’s show a lot. Also Roman clarified at the press conference that his leukemia is still in remission but his oral chemotherapy is something he will be taking for the rest of his life for treatment. And he’s still able to wrestle through it. Frankly I never had a problem with Roman’s part time schedule and I liked it when the belt was unified. We never needed two world titles or separate rosters. The draft is useless anyway. also you could see the refs blatantly holding the ladders tonight for high spots. Something WWE sycophants ruthlessly whined about happening in AEW. bitching aside I’m happy Grayson Waller won a title. I hope this can elevate him to some degree. I think he’s underrated and one of the best heels on SmackDown. Jury is still out on Austin Theory. Basically everything Cena said about him has been proven true. He’s a couple steps away from being another Bo Dallas or Curtis Axel. The selfie gimmick was okay for him but he didn’t evolve after that. My hope is this can turn them into a Miz/Morrison duo.
  17. For a match that was supposed to be their dream match, they didn't have much of a plan here. Like this was the match they campaigned for and wanted for years. This is the match they stupidly broke up the team for and having Jimmy turn on Jey for absolutely no reason when he was the one who wanted out of the Bloodline in the first place. Bad booking. Bad creative. Bad storytelling. Shitty match.
  18. Freezing cold weather or not, the crowd tonight was terrible and they did not show up. The entrance stage was also weak sauce and nowhere near as good as WrestleMania 39. The ladder match was trash and an overdone spotfest. The match to make was Judgment Day vs. R-Truth. Damian Priest being a Money in the Bank holder feels like a total after-thought at this point. He hasn't been built up or groomed at all. Match felt like a convoluted way to split up the titles because it was for the UNDISPUTED TAG TEAM TITLES. I mean why would Waller and Theory even try to stay in the match after winning one set of titles? They should've tried to peace out because that's the chicken shit heel thing to do. The Mysterio tag team match felt relatively pointless and all done as a way to get Kelce make an appearance on the show. I just feel like one year later they haven't progressed from Dominik vs. Rey at all. Escobar's been screwed over in this feud with Rey for months. The heels desperately needed to win here. They still could've had the NFL dudes come in to help after the match. Sami vs. Gunther thankfully salvaged most of this show. I still think this was not Sami's match to win. It felt like a waste of ending Gunther's title reign. People were emotionally behind Gable and wanted him to get this and that could've cemented his career and made him a made man. That's why people turned on Sami winning this on social media. They wanted Gable to get his moment. Nonetheless, it was a great match and the best match of the night. I did enjoy Sami doing his turnbuckle brainbuster since I was never expecting him to do that in WWE. A good finishing sequence. The main event was what it was. Clearly going half-speed to protect The Rock. I do think the match went on way too long. Felt like it needed to be about 25-30 minutes tops. I loved The Rock's entrance and him coming out with that garish stupid looking Brahma Bull belt. It felt perfectly in character. I think Rock and Reigns winning was right and stacks the deck in front of underdog Cody for the rematch tomorrow. The crowd was clearly just not in the mood for like this deliberately plodding three-hour plus main event. I was fine with it because it ultimately did what it needed to do, but it was overly long and not quite fun to watch. But yeah, clearly need to rethink open-air stadiums at certain times of the year. Better luck next time Philly. Will Minneapolis this time of the year be just as cold?
  19. I don't see the 39 set on this list for some reason.
