In a lot of ways we're very lucky that these movies weren't made slightly earlier into the 00s. A lot is taken from Ultimates, including how "real"/military everything has to be (see: Falcon), but Millar's general sense that "heroes don't and can't exist" that permeated that dreck is almost completely gone from the Marvel movies.

Is there a heel in the professional wrestling today that can get this kind of reaction? In fact,what does one need to do to work the smarter than thou indy crowd and stir up some real distaste? You can make a case for Bo Dallas. After they turned him in NXT, you still had fans chanting "No More Bo!" and turning their backs on him (the smarkiest of smarky reactions) which just played even further into his deluded heel who thinks he's a face act. I bet they could have sold anti-Bo shirts to that (albeitly small) audience

We have so much tV to watch right now that things like Pawn Stars and Storage Wars can be banked for summer.

I kind of feel like they had a good idea of what they had there and thus this was just a tease. Sort of like how they kept teasing the Cesaro Swing on Cena for weeks.

I'm playing catch up on but on 211, before the Emma/Charlotte match, Eden trying to convince the pissed off ref to do the Emma Dance was great.

It's the March Madness afterbuzz. I'm sure there'll be some terrible booking on Raw or something and everyone will get back to normal.

I forced this on Fowler in my neverending quest to give him every terrible beatles cover ever. I swear it sounds like Express Yourself in the verse which is downright insane.

This is neither here nor there but we've had a massive dearth of house show footage over the last few year or so. There are enough good matches on TV these days that it doesn't really matter, but it is sort of frustrating in this age of really tiny video recording devises. Also, there might be a better quality version of this out there but it's interesting nonetheless.

I found reading Herb's tidbits a year or two ago pretty fascinating. Just reading a really smarky guy dealing with the Hoganization of WCW and how far we are from his views now. I figure that guy had to be ravaged in the 00s by Eddy/Benoit/Misawa/etc.
