  1. People complaining about booking Rollins vs Omos. On one hand I get it, I'd rather Rollins have a more exciting opponent but how else is Omos going to potentially get better if he doesn't get matches against guys like Rollins or Brock? I think Rollins with get atleast a decent match, plus it can't get any worse than his match against Bray at HitC '19. We are so spoiled that we freak out when a top work rate guy like Rollins is in a match against another workrate guy. Atleast let them try with him because if he has a match close as bad as the match with Bray then they probably will stop trying with Omos
  2. Like Bret lol. I've only listened to about 3 episodes. Of course It's was cool getting to hear his psychology. I really liked when his time in NXT and the developmental more than his WWE and main roster run but at the same time it's weird to hear him break down matches that's happened 5 years ago or less knowing he's still in his prime. He definitely should do the podcast thing when his career winds down or after his prime years because I expect him to have more classic or even go into the matches he hadn't got to cover
  3. Cody defeats Roman, only for it to turn out to be a Dusty finish. Sami who wins the MitB this year cashes in just as he grabs his belts to leave and Sami pins Roman Clean to end the show
  4. He trying to get him a match at Mania vs Logan Paul lol
  5. I was listening to McAdams podcast from this week today the topic is the AWA. I miss the 605 podcast. Brian Last doesn't do it to often. I guess because he has other podcasts on his Network. His main focus is Cornette. Between the Sheets is on my rotation and The Lapsed Fan. I'm still catching on old episodes. It's not alot of peoples cup of tea especially if you don't like their Schick but it's entertaining enough to me because they make me laugh often and the information is really insightful
  6. Facts, just like USA NETWORK wanted RAW to go 3 hours. Even with Vinces apparent booking flaws 3 hours is overkill for any weekly wrestling program but hey, they are making Astronomical profit off the TV at the expense of trying to keep our attention. NXT was unique to me because it was 1 hour. Even at its best I don't think going 2 hours would be a good thing for them. Bischoff is right in Blaming Time Warner, Even though he was burned out and they went through some bad booking regimes following the corporate changes, it was ultimately the network that killed WCW. One 2 hour show and one 1 hour show is all AEW needs on that channel. The only reason to add another program is if they were to put ROH on TBS or TNT. I hope they are consistent in trying to make the Saturday show seem important longer than their efforts with Rampage. It shouldn't be that difficult leading into the Wimbley Stadium show. After All Out ,it will be interesting to see how important that show is weeks after the Fall PPV
  7. Tony needs his own Bruce Prichard/Johnny Ace, someone who takes the heat for the tough decisions that need to be made. I'm kinda joking but I am actually serious
  8. It makes AEW seem Bush league in comparison to WWE with how quick talent is to post or reply to certain things. It's one think if your an independent talent where your branding is based on your accessibility to that audience. Being too transparent and accessible makes you seem like much less of a star. Roman Reigns twitter only posts in gimmick and especially 6-8 years ago he was getting a ton of hate and rejection from the audience, still he barely responded on Twitter and if he did , it was something really clever. It's cringy to me how alot people in AEW are quick to respond to criticism , Even Tony himself. Cody was the same way when he was in AEW. I understand as an EVP he wants to defend his company but as a star wrestler it made him come across like less of a star to me. In WWE I don't see him being defensive on Twitter
  9. I agree, even before all the tension was public I thought it would have been good idea to make him almost exclusive to Rampage. He debuted on that show and he and Danielson even wrestled matches their first few months in when TK made a conscious effort for it to be a strong show and drawing good numbers. With this new show they can do the same idea keep Punk exclusive, "soft brand split" gives me an idea that it's just a short number of people that would be away from Punk for it to be looked at like two different main shows. Tony knows the last thing they need is something critics can say they are copying WWE by doing something that resembles a "Brand Extension". Who knows maybe some of those guys might finally want to do business after he's back actively on the roster.
  10. I wish they could make the Saturday show an ROH show because that would be a better use of Punk to Elevate Ring of Honor. You obviously wouldn't have Punk exclusive to Ring of Honor if you can't have him on your weekly TV that Warner is paying you for. They still have enough talent to do a soft brand split and with WWE being sold I expect more talent from them would be available in the next year or so that TK can't resist picking up.
  11. Part of me believes, Tony Khan even booking a major PPV at Wimbley Stadium was his way to get Punk to work a major match with one of the Elite.
  12. She really is Awesome, it's just parts of her reign has been lackluster. Not a fault of her, Just the way she's been booked. Unless she's programmed against a 4 horsewoman, she isn't given anything good to work with. Her and Piper Niven have good chemistry , I'd like to see them have a real program. Like Cena also, she's a great representative of the company.
  13. Logan Paul is the Bad Bunny equivalent of Social media influencer. He managed to have a decent amount of his following tune in to watch him work. Plus him fighting Mayweather gave him credibility. WWE likes to make alot of these celebrities a bigger deal than they are. Not everyone is going to turn out to be really good at this. They lucked out on some good hands over the past decade or more with Maria Menounos , Snooki , Johnny Knoxville, even Snoop we saw last week was able to work on the fly and save that segment when Shane got hurt but those people are not social media celebrities. The problem with Logan Paul being so good is that WWE is probably going to throw money at other people like him and they won't turn out as well. I don't know if he was the biggest fan growing up but he definitely was familiar enough with it. His entourage on his podcast seem to be bigger marks of wrestling than him. Most of these celebrities that have turned out to do the best are the ones that are huge fans. I'm not to familiar with Bad Bunnys music but I know he is a huge star in music and he's big enough currently that he shouldn't be doing wrestling other than the fact that he loves it so much. Same with Pat McAfee. They lucked up that people like that have come along at the same time that just so happened to have the dream to be apart of WWE. I also remember Bad Bunny on LeBron James Barbershop show with Jay-Z on HBO after one of his Mania appearances and Jay-Z saying Wrestlemania is bigger than the SuperBowl. Image the money WWE would throw at him now if they knew he said that lol
  14. The type of gear Dom's been wearing he can have most of his body covered and wear a mask to mock Rey. He's life MJF, he goes out his way to get heat. They probably have to tell him to tone it down headed in to PR.
  15. As deflated as the Audience was at that finish against Cody, A decision like that would probably kill the town lol. They could've put one of the titles on Sami at EC or Drew in Cardiff or Cody at Mania. Whichever title he beat Brock for he could drop and Still have the title he already had and still make the 1000 days on however long. They already teased Bianca vs Rhea so when it does happen it's probably going to be a Unification matching , so that another indication they don't want to Separate the Men's main titles. Them doing the draft explains why we didn't get and call-ups this week
  16. Probably not since they became a multi billion dollar company but wasn't the reason for not turning Cena heel because they thought it would effect merch sales with the Children and Women audience?
  17. I wish he got way more shine in the Survivor Series '19 tag. It should have been Keith Lee's breakout performance. He killed it but Vince didn't see enough to follow up. Bit as far as Gunther, as great as that match was, I was let down that he didn't get much time to show what he could do on the main roster. Then again it wouldn't have made a difference at that particular time anyway because Hunter didn't want them off NXT
  18. I just seen somewhere that Cody’s merch is continuing to do really really well which would have made even more sense to put the belt on him Sunday. It's funny that some people still think it was a possibility of fans turning on him. I know Cody's still happy to be back an clearly the top Babyface. He wasn't going to vetiver the finish of the Mania match but given the reception and the sells of his merchandisHe's got to believe he's the next in line for the title
  19. So someone put it out there that a Brock and Cody feud was planned a month ago before Vince was anywhere close to creative. Don't get me wrong, I think Cody is a nice fresh program for Brock but I find it hard to believe that wasn't Vinces idea. I totally see Brock not wanting to do a big angle if Vince doesn't put his 2 cents in it. Much like everyone believes is why he wanted to work Omos over Bray at Mania. Why would someone feel the need to put it out there that it wasn't Vince's idea to run Cody vs Brock unless you are trying to continue assure the a certain section of audience that Hunter is still the head booker. They are trying to hard especially with having Hunter go out and rally the crowd.
  20. I imagine there will be more big names either ready to leave WWE or released by the company and becoming available by the time of the Wimbley Show If Bayley leaves WWE , I believe it would increase the likelihood of Sasha coming in to AEW. She'll more people she really enjoy working including getting to work Saraya. TK getting to book Goldberg and Sting either as a team or across from each other would be a good draw for Wimbley
  21. Since Vince has facial hair now, you think he overcame his distain for sneezing? Does he refer to steak and chicken wraps as burritos now ?
  22. If she's not on TV next week, it's going to leave increased speculation that she wants out. She and Sasha carried the show in the pandemic era especially pre thunderdome. She was also instrumental in Io and Dakota coming back. It would suck for them to be left without her but with Vince being back, Io and Dakota would probably resume teaming without acknowledging Damage CNTL ever existed. Bayley is more of a HHH guy than a Vince guy but Hunter hasn't booked her too good since he's been in charge so you can't blame her if she does decide not to resign or request her release. I'd imagine Vince wouldn't want her to go. He's kept people around way below her on the card.
  23. It's one thing seeing Sasha Banks mark out for Aja Kong. It's another thing seeing Naomi mark out for her and tweeting her to back fist her. It seems Naomi hinted that she isn't done with the inring side of her career too and she was backstage at the Ring of Honor PPV. Athena also mentioned in the scrum how close they are so maybe she could sign with AEW/ROH. To me it should be more of a bigger deal that the wife of one of the biggest acts in wrestling chose not to resign with them. I've been saying long before she left that she should've been in the Bloodline. It would’ve added even more unique dynamic to the group and would have gave her the a much needed switch up from fun dancing offense. I know Rob Naylor was putting alot of the women on to Joshi and just international wrestling in general when he was in FCW/NXT so it shouldn't be surprising that she's familiar with people like Kong. It was surreal seeing Kong Retweet Mercedes and Naomi about hoping to get to wrestle them. As much as I'd still like to see Naomi in the Bloodline. It's cool to see her continue to pursue pro wrestling outside of WWE, especially for someone who came from outside of wrestling and definitely has talents to do things outside of wrestling and to do other forms of entertainment. Much like Bianca Belair now she has her own love of Wrestling that alot of people from the outside that didn't grow up on it never have.
  24. Though Bayley has been featured as one of the top Women on Raw under HHH, the circumstances of the booking has left her on the losing end alot. She was going over Bianca in the Fall and even though I think they should have , her and Damage Control wasn't going over Trish Lita and Becky. It sucks that she wanted to have WWEs first dominant women's stable and they can't dominate. She probably thought she could be kept being in a faction without having to lose to the Champ straight away but she was feed to the Champ straight away. If Bayley was to go to AEW, it would increase the likelihood of Sasha coming in. Naomi teased this weekend she isn't done wrestling. She was backstage at ROH visiting Athena so I could see her coming in to AEW
  25. Samantha Irvin is the best Ring Announcer in this Current era. She's the closest thing to Howard Finkel we will have.
