  1. I'm here for this, WrestleMania is 2 Nights so I think they can go away with these multi women title matches they offen do. This would be yet another great way to feature an NXT Women's title match again this year.
  2. Same here, I'm happy Sasha finally got to have a substantial reign as Champ after all these years. I'm a mark for Sasha but I don't want to come across like one of the Twitter Diva stans, it's still preposterous that it took her 5-6 years to actually get a chance to have a decent run with the title. And Bianca, it's crazy that she didn't get an NXT Women's title run the way the pushed her for a while as undefeated but the good thing about that is when she got to the main roster it's like she started off completely fresh. She need a clean victory one on one. The way they book these Women's title matches at Mania I wouldn't be surprised if they add Bayley
  3. Say what you will about Bischoff as a creative but I doubt they've not went with that to start the show. I'm surprised it didn't get more time
  4. I was listening to a Podcast covering the first Nitro Episode and they said it was planned for Meng to face Vader If he hadn't been fired over the Orndorff incident . That would have been dope as he'll.
  5. Finally watched the rest earlier today and it was a really good show. It reminded me of the earlier Takeovers where they closed with a post Main Event angle that leads to the next big angle. The matches on Takeover are always quality overall but this one was the first Takeover in a very long time that made me feel like I need to start watching the TV. I'm liking Gargano and his faction , he seems to be really good as a heel right now. I'm also liking the Kings of NXT faction. I hope McAfee comes back. It'll be interesting to see where they go with Adam Cole and this Undisputed Era.
  6. I've thought about this since the Beginning of AEW, that it would benefit AEW alot more that they didn't get the chance to work with New Japan early on so that they could build up their talent and establish their identity. It's been about a year and a half and now they'll have access to a small handful of their top guys now. It's been a talking point about whether or not it would eventually happen. It was never a question in my mind it would eventually happen. I didn't expect it to happen this soon but we've all been Wrestling fans long enough to know how Major and even indy Japanese promotion change partnerships with American promotions based on people in different booking offices and Promoters or Booking regimes. It'll be great for both New Japan and All Elite right now especially. I'm a bigger fan of New Japan anyway so it gives me another reason to have to follow AEW
  7. I'm watching Takeover now, Why is Kushida always dressed like he working a Street fight when I see him?
  8. I've been hearing good things about Go over that past year maybe. I probably won't get the Peacock network after WWE network moves over there so it'll leave me room for another promotion to follow. I might consider following NOAH. I'll most likely reup my NJPW world subscription finally once the WWE is done. Theyve done alot of rebranding over the years, it'll be fun getting back into NOAH after all these years
  9. Haven't watched NOAH closely in over a decade. Go looks completely different then the generic look he had ten years ago.
  10. Didn't he Re-sign.. if so than why? He'd easily have a Nice spot in New Japan not to Mention AEW. Based off his social media he's making some nice coins regardless and I know alot of his best friends are still under contract too so I'm sure he's not miserable but He obviously should be higher up the card than he is
  11. A big part of Rumble matches have always been another tool to set up WrestleMania matches or highlight on going feuds. The entrance music isn't to much of problem especially if people in the ring react in a certain way or the person entering the ring can tell a story based on how he enters. Macho Man was really good at expressing himself in certain matches. Look at WM 8, if he had that feud with Flair today at WM, he'd be told to do his normal entrance and he wouldn't be able to express his hatred till the bell rings. It's kind of like how people have a problem with alot of guys working these blood feuds like regular matches
  12. Nothing against Edge but I'd much Rather have Big E vs Reigns. I'm sure that's probably next year's plan. I do like the idea of Edge taking his time with choosing his WM opponent
  13. Carmella vs Sasha was really good, much better than TLC and it wasn't just a carry job by Sasha.
  14. For any of you that went back and watched some of the earlier Royal Rumble matches back recently, Does it bug you how in these modern Rumble matches just about everyone has to have an elaborate entrance like the are going into a big time match on TV. Before the modern era, guys entered the Rumble like they were focused on winning now people enter like they have to do the same specific routine that they hate to do every time they leave the curtain
  15. The first NWA show I ever saw was Starcade 89 ten years later. I'm not even sure if I knew it was he and Farooq at the time I watched it. That show was worlds apart from WWF. When I got to go back and watch mid 80s WWF TV, Superstars and Challenge I really enjoyed watching his squash matches where he'd press the guy over his head without any support. I wish he did get that IC title run so he could've gotten more memorable programs on top of having the honor of being WWFs first black singles champ alot soon that it happened. When I got the WWE network one of the first things I did was go back and watch the early WCW PPVs and see Doom just punish everyone.
  16. This last Women's Rumble benefited from non having so many legends with token entries. I think the first one they felt like they had to give alot of the Legends a chance to participate, seeing Jacqueline and Molly and even Victoria out there in these Rumble matches working it like they are trying win instead of doing token spots is fun. Especially in Jacquelines case because she was being phased out during the time period divas were actually given a chance to have competitive matches. You can tell when the women are excited to be working with alot of these legends in the same way when Christian was in the Mens Rumble
  17. Today even being in your early to mid 40s isn't old in this modern era. The talent is aging much better than the previous eras because the drug/party culture isn't as prevalent today. The Wellness program probably helps too. And now the road schedule isn't going going to be near what it was before the pandemic when the Arenas open back up across the board. Some people are just freaks of nature like RTruth or AJ Styles or Shelton or even Lashley. Think about probably 8 years ago, Big Show and Mark Henry where having some of their best work. The only negative thing about alot of these older talent isn't even their age, it's how they've been used. If they pushed Cesaro tomorrow, no one here would complain we'd all be here for it. He's not 40 yet but he's been on the main roster long. Fans and wrestlers alike have been vocal about him not getting a chance to be featured in a main event slot. Look a Sheamus, he hasn't aged much at all either and he's still just as good as ever. I'm not clamoring for him to be in the main event but I really enjoy watching him still. He lays his shut in and works very snug especially when he's in there with guys that don't mind bringing it either.
  18. I was really impressed by Santana Garrett, I almost forgot who she was because I don't watch NXT but she really impressed me. I'd like to see her Toni Storm and Rea on the main roster. Steen vs Roman was good too. I know few of you saying Edge wasn't good tonight. I didn't pay much attention during that Rumble but Christian looked like he never left. Edge will never be as good as Christian mechanically and Knowing Edge, he probably feels like he has to make up for last years Mania. I like Edge to , I just hope we don't see him in cinematic type matches. I hope we get Belair vs Sasha but Knowing that company it's now gaurrantee that's the plan.
  19. Watched the Sweet Daddy Siki documentary, Really good. I think its one of those documentaries non Wrestling fans should watch as well
  20. Shawn lobbied for that, anybody else would've refused to go over him that night even if asked. Shawn claimed he wanted more heat going into the Survivor Series. It's crazy from an angle standpoint too because he knew he was going over Bret and none of the Hart members got their heat back. He could've atleast dropped it to Owen after who he worked in December when he returned instead of giving it HHH the way he did.
  21. As a Kid, it was probably the Rumble I watched the most. I watched that whole show several times growing up. As an adult I probably watched that Rumble match one time. It went by way too quick and knowing that they wanted Shawn to be the Ric Flair of that Rumble the length of the match ruins it. The finish was cool as a kid and I was a big mark for both Davey and Shawn and that's probably why I wouldn't say it was the worst. I wish they got more out of Shawn vs Davey coming out of that match
  22. He looks like the type of guy Vince would want to have a heel run against Hogan. He's obviously a really good babyface and good at being the Patriot type but if he came in to WWF as a heel he could've worked more closely like he did in UWF. He looks so menacing here. He looked that way during his first run in WWF before the Iron Sheik incident. He didn't get too goofy until he was brought back
  23. With those guys in the Women's division, it could've been WWFs answer to the Cruiserweight division. I didn't know anything about Joshi as a kid watching Survivor Series 95 but that tag match was dope. I'm surprised JR wasn't a bigger proponent of them, especially Aja. WCW brought in Joshi a few months later which I barely remember, I have no memory of Luna in WCW. It's just surprising that neither major companies try to really feature Joshi talent in the 90's. Kong became one of my favorites ever when I discovered Joshi later. It would've been dope to see her every week on national tv
