While I liked Justin Credible I would hope Tony has the good sense to choose someone better than that for the role. I’d say right now Takeshita would be a good choice as he’s a bastard heel and Callis could really sell him beating Eddie too. Looking at the other heels I wouldn’t be opposed to Claudio or Swerve getting that role either. Claudio for the built in history, and Swerve just because.

Actually I’m a bit of a Jericho mark. I just feel like right now he could badly use a Fozzy tour. As you stated he always comes back refreshed after they’re done, and it feels like he’s more energized as a performer after having had a break too. So if they gave him a break, and in 3-6 months decided hey let’s have him beat MJF I’d be cool with that. I just threw Kenny’s name out as he felt like the guy fans would buy into the most, and that would get a good buy rate for whatever PPV they do it at (All In or Full Gear). Year one of Mox’s second reign would be (imo) preferable to what we’ve ended up with. No interim title BS that way too.

Well then I have just the guy for you. He loves getting into random feuds, and bringing guys that are hot down to a level below where they had been. I give to you, the Inaugural AEW World Champion, Le Champion Chris Jericho. Actually on a more serious note I think they might circle back to Mox after the BCC/Elite feud ends. Personally I’d prefer they run Kenny vs MJF (and Kenny is someone I think 95% of the audience would get behind beating Max).

The last men’s spot is either Riddle or Damian Priest as they’ve announced it for tomorrow nights Raw. Which seems like that whomever wins that is winning the contract (I get LA Knight is over, but there’s less than zero chance he’d cash in on Roman, and I can’t see fans cheering him against Seth). As for the women I’d pick Zelina as the other four are in feuds or will soon be in feuds with each other. I think they announced the unification match for Smackdown in two weeks, and I know they announced Asuka vs Charlotte for Smackdown the night before MITB (thus creating a three way the next night).

To echo something @Casey said I’m a fan of Ric Flair, but I’m also a fan of Adam Cole and The Young Bucks. I fully agree that just because something was considered acceptable in the 80’s doesn’t mean it should be four decades later. Times have changed, and I’m glad for that. Also I didn’t call for anyone to be banned. I said certain opinions should be toned down when opposite arguments can be made. Claiming an NXT guy isn’t a draw while propping up three talents that were on Raw and Smackdown (Bryan, Keith Lee, and Samoa Joe) that have brought a collective zero new viewers to AEW is counterproductive at best.

I know for a fact I do too. But I don’t ever single a guy out for not bringing viewers when two other bigger name talents come from the same company and they don’t bring any extra eyes to the product either. Which I’ll apologize to my friend @The Natural as they know I love Bryan too, but as I pointed out he’s not brought many (or really any) of his fans from WWE to this company.

I can’t believe he’s being that obtuse with his arguments. Why isn’t he asking why Samoa Joe didn’t bring the audience that was watching him on Raw to AEW with him? Or Bryan Danielson and the over two million people a week that watched him on Smackdown? His little hate boner for Adam Cole really should just go away or be shut down since it’s not discussing anything in good faith or adding anything to a conversation (especially when it can easily be shot down like I just did). And to clear it up I don’t mean you Zakk clearly I mean the resident Adam Cole troll.

Personally I’d rather have LeBron off the team than to have Kyrie join it. Especially after his millionth appearance as petulant child #1 after the Nuggets won Game 4. Like if you’re that big a baby just retire already.

What the heck? The Prestige at #11? Granted I’ve not seen everything he directed but I was surprised to see it that low. Personally I’d put it ahead of the Dark Knight Rises (and Batman is my favorite DC character). I just couldn’t believe how bad a job they did with Bane, and how silly the ending was.

I’m clearly pro Kurt, and I can’t wait to meet him this summer at a local event that he’s doing a signing at. Plus the last PPV match my dad and I ever watched together was Kurt Angle vs Baron Corbin at Wrestlemania 35 (my dad passed away three weeks later), so I’ll always have a soft spot for Kurt because of that too.

How much dumb stuff can you name in the matches I listed? Minus the Shane one obviously since 95% of that was being an ECW tribute match (and thus dumb bumps). I honestly can’t think of anything dumb in the Benoit or Taker matches I listed, and unless a moonsault is considered dumb I don’t think the Shawn match had anything dumb either.

I’d love to see somebody suck and still have matches half as good as: King Of The Ring 2001 vs Shane McMahon (while working their third match of the card) Royal Rumble 03 vs Benoit Wrestlemania 21 vs Shawn Michaels No Way Out 06 vs Undertaker

Your Kurt Angle point proves why they’re just meaningless opinions. I don’t get why people are so hell bent on my favorite never got 5 stars in WWE or WCW from Dave. When to me I feel like saying if Kurt Angle didn’t then why should your favorite have gotten it? Kurt had some all time classics in WWE.

No you’re supposed to crap on Cole, The Bucks, and Kenny because they’re not “legit tough guys like Mox”. Never mind Mox’s idea of being tough is sticking a razor blade in his forehead because he’s not the brightest bulb in the bunch, but hey. I’m with you that not every main event guy needs to have the same body type or be one of only two extremes (either over developed due to roids or being super fat like back in Hogans days on top). Plus while I love Darby I think it’s much easier to see why Adam Cole gets the bigger push (in ring is close to equal, and Cole is miles ahead on charisma and mic skill). Yet Darby gets a free pass like he’s the second coming or something. Not to mention I think the detractors of Cole also love Wheeler Yuta who has negative charisma, and imo wouldn’t draw a crowd if he were presented as a main event guy. Even last night I thought he was the worst part of the six man tag.

I can’t believe they’re making him the highest paid coach in league history. That was the bigger shock to me.

Am I the only one that was a bit taken aback that @Gordlow would get called out for having a “weird take”? To me they’re probably the best poster in this section of the board, and my personal highlight was getting to interact with them once (shout out to @The Natural too as I enjoy our interactions). I may not always agree with Gordlow’s thoughts, but I do admire that they’re well thought out, and it never feels like I’m reading a random rant.

Once I get around to updating my list again that’s definitely going to be my top WWE match so thanks for the recommendation.

According to the movies Wikipedia page there were multiple studios bidding on the movie so I’m not 100% sold that this is going to be a dud. When I first saw the trailer before Scream 6 it got quite a bit of laughs too. Will it make huge box office? Probably not, but I definitely don’t see it being a Mother or Red Sparrow type flop for her.

My thinking is it’s Mox, Danielson, Yuta, Claudio, Takeshita, Callis (as the build has been focused on him) Vs Omega, Hangman, Jackson M, Jackson N, Ibushi, and Cutler (or Nakazawa in Cutlers spot). That way each team has their own JJ Dillon type that could cost them, and I hope they go with the obvious finish of Callis chickening out of a Golden V Trigger only to eat one anyhow after he’s surrendered.

So this is a show I should definitely watch tonight instead of Raw? I was looking for something to fill that time, and it sounds like this over delivered. The only thing that surprised me was @Eivion being surprised that a crowd would get behind a blonde with a massive boob job. Don’t get me wrong I was a fan of Tiffany when she first debuted, but after that of course the guys in any crowd will be rooting for her.
