  1. Wasn't that the stupidity in '95 where things were so low-rated they didn't even want weapons used on TV?
  2. Kenny Omega is a... complicated man.
  3. Will that Series match have another great spot like Shane getting the double thumbs down Tombstone that made it into WWE games for the next decade, or another bad spot like Shane getting concussed to next Tuesday by a spear?
  4. I wouldn't be surprised if Emma took a look at her spot, realized she was in the exact same spot she was in NXT years ago, and finally realized she wasn't going anywhere and asked for a release. At this point she needs some freshening up before coming back or she'll never get anywhere.
  5. There's a story in Bret's book about a match he had on SNME with Savage, where Vince instructed Bret to work Savage's leg the entire match. I bring it up because the Savage-Michaels match reminds me a lot of that match, and I wonder if Shawn (a newly-minted heel at that point) was given the same assignment. (The match was also coming right off of Savage nearly getting his knee blown out winning the World title from Flair at WM8, so perhaps he was selling the match.)
  6. Tharpe used the NWA to fulfill his fantasy of being a heel manager in Japan. I'm not sure that deserves fairness.
  7. I remember before Survivor Series 91, they had LOD v. Nastys on Arsenio, with Jake Roberts as guest commentator. I think the LOD went over in a quick squash, then Jake brought out the cobra and they quickly went to commercial.
  8. This game is screaming that it was tested by people that developed it and not by people that had no exposure to the game. It works along a specific line of progress, but deviations totally fuck with it.
  9. Well, that was different. (Spoilers for the end of MyCareer)
  10. UPDATE: After trying again, this time I went with the "standard" ladder match OMG of the AA off the ladder, and this time, it counted. I won the United States championship from Intercontinental champion Kevin Owens, because WWE 2K18.
  11. Angle in riot gear would/will be fucking sick. Honestly, I had no plans to watch this show before but I'll definitely be watching now. WWE should have outbreaks more often, apparently.
  12. Owens going home for "personal reasons" at the same time as all of this is happening is worrisome, as well.
  13. So my MyCareer is apparently stuck. Ladder match at SummerSlam vs. Kevin Owens. I have to win the US title in the match. Only one problem - Owens is Intercontinental champion, and that belt isn't even on the line - my MITB briefcase is. I won the match, did the OMG moment, used the ladder, but it didn't matter - there's no way to win the US title. Failed objective, and you can't progress without completing it. Guess that's the end for this guy until a game patch fixes it (HAHAHAHAHAHA)
  14. I believe it was SUPPOSED to but I never saw it work well. Meanwhile, my light heavyweight trying to slam Braun Strowman went comically bad.
  15. Let Jinder have his moment. It won't last and if he doesn't, he'll regret it. Let him savor it and enjoy it. Sometimes wrestlers are fans first and it actually means something to them to win the belt, even if they're not in the main event. It shows what they trained and worked for paid off.
  16. I like the changes made to battle royals this year with rolling to the apron after serious damage. Adds some strategy to it. I especially like the big guys tossing guys out in one go - although Mark Henry doing it three straight times was getting old.
  17. There are NO clangy pipes backstage. What the fuck?
  18. Vince complains about millennials in a cutscene. Damn, this game nails WWE.
  19. If anyone's looking for good consumer (and even enterprise) network gear at a decent price, check out Ubiquiti's line. I have an EdgeRouter X and two of the Unifi APs, and they've become pretty fantastic with the latest updates. Easy to manage and very advanced if you want to get deep into stuff.
  20. Quoted for complete and utter truth on all counts. All of this helps to mitigate the damage somewhat, but there's no way around it - this is a protocol-level flaw. As Mikrotik said in their update, even a properly implemented WPA2 setup is vulnerable. Vigilance is always the lynchpin of security. Without it, you're fucked. 95% of the time there's a security vulnerability or intrusion or a data breach, it's because somebody fucked up somewhere and didn't do the needful.
