  1. Everything I'm hearing about Sasha is that she's playing Sabine, and if that is true, I honestly think it's a pretty solid casting choice. Both in appearance and personality.
  2. Looking back on the last page or two, thinking about Daniel's obsession with Miyagi, and I honestly think it makes sense. Daniel doesn't seem to have had many struggles once he got to adulthood and became successful with his dealership, and in the times where he did have problems, Miyagi was always there to help him figure it out. Now that he's more or less having a mid-life crisis, he's dealing with a major life issue on his own(in his mind, despite having a loving family) and is naturally thinking back to the teachings of the one person that always seemed to have the answers. I think that is why Daniel had such a hard time being a teacher, because he didn't have a lifetime of failure to tap into like Johnny did. Johnny saw a chance to give kids the life purpose he never had, whereas Daniel obviously WANTS to help these kids out, but is having trouble finding the teachable moments in his own life past high school. I've always liked that there isn't really an actual villain(besides Krease and maybe Hawk at this point) in the show, just different people with different visions, that more or less want to do the same things. Both Johnny and Daniel seem to really just want to help these kids out, but may never understand the motivations of the other. Daniel is always going to be that New Jersey hothead that has a meltdown when faced with any inconvenience(see Trees, Miyagi's Little).
  3. The most striking thing about the end of Rebels for me, was how graphic it was to see the wolves maul a bunch of stormtroopers. Rebels as a whole veered away from the violence of Clone Wars, but man if that wolf scene wasn't way up there on the "holy shit" scale.
  4. Here is the thing, that is really out of character for Maxi. He's normally a very reliable outside shooter. At this point, I'd like to see Rick use him more as a runner like he did with Powell. You kinda need to keep Kleber on the floor due to him being one of the only good defenders we have. I liked that MKG got some decent minutes, and I thought he did a pretty fair job defending Kawhi.
  5. This is better than the Vince Carter buzzer beater. Holy shit I'm having a stroke.
  6. LUKA FUCKING MAGICCCCCCCC
  7. Man that Stargirl finale was great, and overall it was a damn good first season. I hope the second season keeps what worked so well, like the pacing and reserved nature. RE: DC Universe, I knew the original shows would live on, but I'm hoping the library of the classic animated shows like Batman:TAS and Justice League end up on HBO Max.
  8. Any character that makes me go "oh cool it's *blank*!" I consider them to be somewhat obscure.
  9. Whenever I see that dude's name pop up, I immediately close the article. I disliked the sequels quite a bit, but I think Disney just washing their hands of them(like they are kinda already doing) is a million times more likely than a retcon.
  10. I loved this week's episode, and I though the reveal of Court's dad just being some dickhead was well done. I'm starting to wonder if there is a heel turn coming for Mike though. Kid keeps getting shuffled to the background, and Pat is connecting with Court more and more(which she kinda needs right now tbh), and he is clearing resenting it. Love this show for digging up obscure characters like SHINING KNIGHT.
  11. Lando is alot like Han Solo for me, in that I'm not really interested in having the curtain pulled back on their backstory. Much of the charm of a character like that, is not knowing if they are bullshitting you, or if it's true. Those characters need an air of mystery around them. I agree with @Eivion in that I don't want more content on the legacy characters(even though I am excited for Obi-Wan).
  12. I kinda get the feeling that they dig Junior out of the rubble and go full heel with him later. You are right about the Barb situation, tbh. I am hoping that Court eventually tells her mom that it was all her idea and that Pat genuinely tried to stop her, but that may not happen.
  13. Stargirl will probably get the Batwoman treatment, and keep the whole season on the CW app for a while. I've been watching the DCU version, though I"m not sure there is any difference at this point, since they are clocking in at 41 minutes. They continue to do a great job of making the big scenes matter more, simply by not doing them often. Thought they did a good job in nailing the emotional beats with Harry Jr. I didn't like Barb being ready to go full divorce after one(granted, big) misunderstanding.
  14. It would be a nice twist for a hero to NOT be able to convince bad people to turn good, or do the right thing. We see the "inspirational speech" all the time, and it would be kinda neat for Court to try it and come up bupkus every time.
  15. The back half of season 2 was probably the strongest stuff Rebels did. I recently finished the show, and really enjoyed it, but that stretch was the peak of the show for me.
  16. Probably, unless they manage to get Ruby Rose to do an episode to write Kate out.
  17. I honestly think they went with a new character so they wouldn't be handtied in trying to recast Kate Kane This way, they can cast whoever they wanted, instead of trying to jump through hoops explaining why Kate is a person of color now.
  18. Pat's kid literally JUST became tolerable in this week's episode lol.
  19. Why does Pat's kid look and act like a shrunken 36 year old? I agree that it's been kinda sweet to see them start to trust each other and become a family. I worry about Court's mom though ?
  20. I think this spells more doom for DCU than anything else. I'd be surprised if the service is around this time next year. I really hope they don't change anything about the show with the move though.
  21. I'm still blown away by how well the fight scenes are done in this show. The big scene at the end of this week's episode was SO good.
  22. As far as I can tell, that part of the story is really limited, and only towards Yolanda's story. I like that it gives her her own little personal demon to overcome.
  23. I never thought I'd see the day when SPORTSMASTER was presented as a serious threat on a live action property.
  24. I love that Stargirl is doing such a slow burn on everything. Really taking it's time to establish the story and characters, instead of beating you over the head with action every week. Good job on making the villains seem really scary and not making you think they'll be pushovers. A neat thing I noticed is that the hero characters, outside of Courtney, have pretty rotten families, whereas the villain characters(mostly) have pretty strong family lives at home. Just a unique twist that I dig.
