I'm not mad at the raw title. Once Cody lost at mania, i figured we were going for Hogan's record at 1474 bare minimum. Now that being said. With the benefit of hindsight, i can say that everything up til the final 3 count was awesome with the Cody/Roman story. Everything with Sami and Jey is still compelling to me. Even Cody on his own has been good to great at being the #1 babyface in a heel promotion. I do hope that they dont go for 1474 amd Roman drops the titles at mania 40, or Roman starts tweaking his formula to keep it fresh, adding some more controlling offense to hia arsenal to fill in some of his pacing depending on opponents. That said. Push Xavier Woods!

Other than being bummed Cody lost, im actually really interested in how they keep Roman strong, and compelling for another year. I've not gone out of my way to watch most of the legendary puro matches of guys like Misawa or Kobashi. I've enjoyed reading @Matt Ds runs through the older stuff. It helps me understand the legends behind what made tje newer Noah stuff I watched (coz of KENTA and Marufuji)

I'm just glad that it can easily be inferred that Jimmy is Jey's shatter point. He didn't choose Roman over Sami, he chose Jimmy. And Solo. I can actually see a world where Sami gets through to Jey (through taking the tag titles) which lets Jey bring down Roman. Which brings us full circle and starts the next leg if the journey

I said it in another thread but that super cut basically shows that this is the continuation of the main energy Jey story even more than Sami. I want Roman/Jey redux at to start at backlash into summer slam.

Jey will either turn at EC, or find his self respect soon after and bring his brothers with him to leave Roman with his Brutus (Heyman) until Cody gets what is his empire be damned. I'm excited to see the next steps and how we get the fall.

I'm firmly in the money+control camp. Everything screams this. He fought the government once and won so he thinks he can do it again (sec) and doesn't care who buys as long as he gets to remain in control at the top. And if he can get a big ass even better for him.
