  1. It was a bad camera angle. Naomi hooked Charlotte's tights but no one at home saw that. Jimmy Uso had to snitch on his wife to let us know what happened.
  2. I think he was pretty damn good in Broken Arrow. He had potential to be an action star that he never really lived up to. I had forgotten all about Broken Arrow. One of the few movies he didn't annoy me while trying to channel Jack Nicholson via his voice.
  3. I thought that Mark Dacascos was going to be one of the biggest action movie stars ever.
  4. And then we it comes time for squad selection - you might want to make sure you pick folks that compliment your class (so say you don't have 3 Adepts on a mission and then you can't hack anything) This is doubly important if you are playing any class other than a Soldier in ME1. IIRC, Soldiers are the only class that have a base proficiency with Assault Rifles so you are going to have to depend on characters like Ashley, Garrus, and Wrex to provide medium range fire support until you unlock weapon proficiencies after your first playthrough. You will usually want to build your squad to compliment your abilities (one solider, one tech, one biotic) but there are a couple of encounters in ME1 and ME2 where it helps to be really heavy in one class or have two characters with overlapping skills. Also be mindful that none of the classes in ME1 have the cool powers found in ME2 or ME3.
  5. And they probably got there with maxed out Bones of Eao as per my previous post. You're going to see more of that in the Crucible now that more people had access to them via Xur and they are going to scour YouTube for vids on how to best exploit the boots. Bungie needs to patch PvP to have max height ceilings the same way they patched PvE so you cannot rocket bosses to death from the sides of really high cliffs.
  6. The new kicks totally give quad jump to Gunslingers unless there has been a recent patch. The problem is that some PvE zones have a defined ceiling that keep you from reaching a certain height so you can't wallbreach over certain obstacles. The Crucible zones have really high ceilings so you will get killed by snipers and guys with rocket launcher perched in absurdly high places. Not sure if you remember but during the Iron Banner, our team ran into a Bones of Eao sniper on the Rusted Lands map that was able to snipe over the wall separating A and B. Most players don't use the Bones in the Crucible because you are taking up an Exotic slot just for an additional jump and more HW ammo. Also they are DIS heavy and no one wants to take the INT hit in PvP. It was my custody weekend so no gameage for me. I'm also on graveyard until Friday morning so that should kill any Skolas opportunities for me unless I can sucker some Euros into carrying me.
  7. Mr. Gannesuke is the last of the great Japanese super workers. Awesome offense sold by the king sized psychology of being a total dick to his fellow man and wanting to kayfabe injure you in the best way. How many heels can you count that can do convincing armwork and still come off as a complete douchebag? How many of those heels don't have the last name Anderson? Armwork is usually the realm of babyfaces. Gannosuke can pull it off because he is Gannesuke and HE RULES~! As you said, the only thing I don't really like about that match is the abandoned psychology. You can tell a story about protecting death moves or you can be the Man of Steel and kick out of everything shy of a kryptonite bullet to the dome. Can't do both and expect the match to make sense. Of all the finishers to use after nearly having your shoulder popped out of the socket, Daisuke breaks out a Dragon Suplex,... It is a beast finish but it really does deviate from the script. Gannesuke has the good taste to remember that he knee is on fire and doesn't kick out. I still love that match, though. IF U DNT LK MR. GNSSKE GO FCK URSLF.
  8. Fan casting is awful when it is type casting. Even more so when the typecasting doesn't take the new character into consideration. Jesse Pinkman pretty much stays messed up but Eddie eventually cleans himself up and becomes a Gunslinger, so having Paul revise his role as Jesse in Dark Tower does no justice to the character of Eddie. Now the internets wants Christian Bale to be Roland but I miss him playing villains so I wouldn't mind seeing him take on the role of Randall Flagg and don't necessarily wish for him to do it by reprising his role as Patrick Bateman. After seeing Tom Hardy as Mad Max, I kinda vote for him to be Roland.
  9. Remember when you first watched Babylon 5 and you were all, "Hey! Brenda the hot stripper from The Hidden is second in command!" Or was that just me?
  10. If it is Blind Watch or Shores and maybe Rusted Lands where matches typically are won by the teams that can hold B&C, capping A at the beginning of the match can sometimes be a liability. The time you take to cap A gives the other team the time to cap B and C and dig in. If I A spawn on those maps, I cap A out of habit because I don't want to start killing without at least one modifier. Sometimes the better plan is for the entire team to roll and check down the other team while they are capping their first zone. Anyone who rolls with me on Blind Watch knows that I will usually dash to B if we C spawn. Once you hold B and C on BW, the rest of the match is gravy if you have a team that knows what they're doing.
  11. I'll be at my crib this weekend so if you see me online and want to run PoE, PM me. Even better, if someone wants to roll the 32 and the 34 PoE so I can get me a mystery item globe thingie from Variks, that would be super duper.
  12. Yep, you get more points when you group capture and zones cap faster if there is more than one player with you, but that isn't always smart because the risk vs. reward is really high. One super or a rocket will murder the entire team. The best policy on short maps with co-located zones like Shores and Blind Watch is still to divide and cap and then defend your turf.. If my team is capping, I protect them by covering down on them away from the zone. If I die, I die by myself and not with two or three other players.
  13. I hate that so much and love you like a brother for keeping me from spending money and wasting time in order to see that scene.
  14. That movie would suck and I would probably hate Josh Trank for putting that on the screen. I could see wrapping The Thing in that sort of angst but even he embraced his powers and his appearance when Dr. Doom threatened the world. Ben needs to be about mother fucking clobberin' time when the shit hits the fan, not lamenting his rocky exterior that just happens to make him nearly invulnerable and one of the physically strongest beings alive. This is the sort of dark and gritty Nolaneque deal wrapped with edutainment that terrifies me about the Black Panther movie. I don't need the Black Panther to turn into a veiled sermon on the evils of colonialist expansionism and how Africa still suffers culturally from centuries of social and economic exploitation. I already know that it is horrible situation because I am an informed person and I stay informed. You can use the whole old world colonialist thought aspect as one of the reasons why we should hate Klaw, but don't make that the focus of the film. The Black Panther needs to be about how a well educated, selfless, and honorable African man of regal bearing and genius intellect punched a guy made of solidified sound right in the face and saved the world. T'Challa is a king in every sense of the word and he deserves to be treated like one. He is one of the best of us, just like Superman.
  15. The Win 3 Matches curse worked in reverse for Rippa and I last night. We got our hat trick right off the bat and then proceeded to get teamed up with the worst possible players available. We dropped two straight matches where I was top killer but that is not saying much. The units we had on Burning Shrine and the second Shores of Time had no clue whatsoever. In the second match on Shores, we were constantly recapturing points instead of defending our turf. I dread playing the new Zone Control mode in Crucible with players like that. I thought we were going to drop the second match of the night on Twilight Gap thanks to unhelpful snipers padding their stats, but we got hot at the right time. The top three carried the bottom on our first match on Shores. Rippa, I and another guy all had at least 3 caps and over a 2.0 K/D while no one in the lower half of the order had over a 1.0 K.D and not a lot of caps.
  16. That Divas tag match was aces. SS and Team BAD have some great hurty spots in their arsenal and the match layout actually made sense. The ladies really did put some work in. Poor camera position kept us from seeing the screwjob ending so it fell on poor Jimmy Uso to rat out his own wife on commentary. There are no words to encapsulate the awesomeness of the New Day / Mark Henry & PTP feud because it cannot be contained nor explained with mere words.

    MR. ROBOT

As if the ending of the previous episode wasn't crushing enough. Eliot's addiction signed Shayla's death warrant. If he had no philosophical motivation to kick the habit, he does now.
  18. I got two pieces of VoG raid armor and the jumpship in the VoG Hard raid with Rippa. Dismantled the armor and went to the Speaker to convert the shards to energy in the hope of eventually getting a Fatebringer to level up and boost to 365 with the EL node I am saving. Had to disappoint Mis during the VoG jumping puzzle portion of our adventure by telling him I have never leveled up the Gunslinger abilities on this Hunter. My OCD works that way unfortunately and on average I am having much more success as a Bladedancer in PvP than I did as a Gunslinger. Bought my Bones of Eao this morning. Feels kinda cheap that I did not earn them in a Nightfall or a Raid. Damn things are Discipline heavy so that will tank my Intellect when I swap out my Mask of the Third Man for another helmet. My MoTM has higher than usual INT so getting rid of it is not an option. I am going to level up those boots and use an Exotic Shard to max them out, but they will sit in the Vault until I get a HoW Light 42 helmet with heavy INT to wear with them. When I swap out Helmet for Boots, I will also lose the ability to heal myself when I run over an Orb of Light so there is also that to consider for things like Crota raids.. Owning BoE may cause me to start leveling up Gunslinger on this Hunter for PvE so that I can Quad Jump. Will still need a good INT helmet with Light 42 so that I can use my GG more than once every 9999 days and remain Level 34. I hate high cooldown rates. Only having a 52 STR bugs me but not as much as having low INT or DIS.

    MR. ROBOT

There are certain things that indicate to me that Mr. Robot is not real and Eliot is finally admitting it to us (ie. the death speech about Shayla, the surreal bit where Eliot puts on the fsociety mask) but I am still not sure. Tyrell and Eliot share interesting parallels even though they are almost mirror opposites. Tyrell is confident and covets power (mostly political) while Eliot is unsure of himself (at least from a social perspective) and has tremendous power that he barely appreciates via the fact that he has near limitless access to information. I really enjoy the fact that none of the characters is very stereotypical or stupid, even the minor ones. Vera is a philosopher gangster, the members of fsociety are just as talented as Eliot when it comes to computers, Ollie is a bit of a douche but has the good taste to try to have some sort of tie to Eliot for Angela's sake. ad nauseum. RIP Shayla. I had a bad feeling from the moment they took her away that she was dead and the You Need To Let Her Become A Memory talk did not help. I like to think of myself as an optimist so the little kick to the groin of Hope hurt more than it should have. I totally disagree with Mr. Robot. It is not brave or realistic to accept futility. It is surrender. I think that the reason Eliot came up with the right plan for the right time during that ordeal is because of the hope that he could save Shayla.
  20. As much as I am excited about a movie, I don't really want a movie. I want the entire series of novels on HBO with Game of Thrones production values. They need to take their time telling this story. The GoT experiment worked and I think that cable has finally proved that the cinema isn't the only place to experience epic storytelling and movies are further limited by the two and a half hour window of Okay I'd Like To Go Home Now.
  21. Everyone on the internets wans Aaron Paul to be Eddie. I vote for Matthew McConaughey and Jamey Sheridan to share the role of Randall Flagg.
  22. Too late. I used the two ELs from the IB on my gloves and boots to get to 34. I was impatient and wanted to get to 34 to match up with other 34s in the Banner. My chestplate is Judgment caste though. I fucking hate that Varick's armor. I know the perks are geared towards the Prison and it is Light 42 but the fucking huge buff to one stat pisses me off. I'm a Bladedancer so my grenades and my super should be able to supply the Arc Damage on Fallen shields but fucking Lightswitch means I have to keep my distance. Damn. I will hang with you guys if you are running the Vault to see if I can get a Fatebringer and use the EL I have in the Vault to bring it up to 365.. I still have Patience and Time on my Hunter and a Thunderlord on my Warlock for those assholes in the Prison.
  23. First Bad Words and This Is Where I Leave You and now The Gift. Jason Bateman = Super Actor? Who knew?
  24. Karl Urban or Michael Shannon should totally play Roland in the Dark Tower movie but people will fantasy book Viggo Mortensen or Liam Neeson.
