If AAA was in bad enough shape to sell I wonder if there was any actual good scenario.
-
I'm still curious how that is going to work since he is one of those guys HHH seemingly wants to fuck off into the void forever after the shit with Saraya.

What is the current AAA roster?

WWE TV - 4/14 - 4/20/2025 - Can't Find A Better Mania

Uh, Bate returned at the London show from a few weeks ago where he teamed with Dunne against New Day. They mentioned the injury and his time away healing. Unfortunately, they still haven't done much with him, but being so close to WM can be looked at as somewhat of an excuse. -

Skipped the Rollins opening. The Andre battle royal was fun. Glad Melo won. The women's segment felt a bit unnecessary though I guess they wanted to tie Bianca back into the Naomi/Jade feud. Was nice to see Io standing tall again. Wouldn't be shocked if Io loses though I still think the best ending for Mania would be her walking out as champ to build to a rematch with Rhea later. Street Profits vs. MCMG were hitting a nice stride just as the bs ending occurred. They fucked up doing this here instead of last week so we could have the TLC match at Wrestlemania. I know they want to sell Smackdown, but it felt like bs given the work all involved have been putting in the months prior to this, especially when compared to War Raiders vs. New Day making the show. Zelina/Chelsea was fun. They are going to have a hard time finding a face to dethrone Chelsea and be over when it eventually happens. Anyone big enough is too busy with the main belts. Knight/Solo was decent while it lasted. The tag match was a bit better. LWO vs. American Made was good though it sucked seeing Rey injured before he could even be tagged in. Still not sure what happened though hopefully its not as serious as feared. Honestly it feels like doing this was a bad idea given the match on the next day. Could have easily slotted in Cruz or Wilde. That final segment with Cody and Cena was brutal in a mostly good way though they have made a it a bit too obvious Cena is walking out as champ unless they go the Wrestlemania 17 route. Sadly not as good a go home show as Raw or NXT though still decent. -
Honestly, its probably the least egregious thing said compared to the other dumb shit others have spouted this week. He basically isn't going to defend Vince, but he also won't deny the relationship they've built because he can't throw that away so easily. Its pretty much in line with what he said the last time he was asked about it.

Kind of love the direction they are taking with this. The F4 as the only heroes and clearly active for a good while, a proper Galactus, the time frame giving it more of potential positive vibe. Love Franklin being on the way. Hope Valeria is as well before its over.

Well that escalated quickly. So much for my dumbass assumption of a smaller finale. Not sure if this was the best episode this season, but its certainly up there at worst. Looking forward to seeing how things go next season with the current showrunners being able to shoot fresh from the getgo instead of keeping however much they could from what was previously shot.

I disagree. Vice was fairly middle of the road ring wise compared to other women in the division when the title was established. She has improved since then, but she is still noticeably behind the other women in this match aside from Izzi.

I think Thea has the strongest chance. She has been ready to hold a belt for a good year or two now. Feels like Lola needs more time. I think they want to go further with ZaRuca before giving either a proper singles run.

Page vs. King vs. Thorpe vs. Lee was exactly what it needed to be with it focusing mostly on action and just a bit of character work from Page and King. Good match. Tatum/Lola was solid. Wish it was Tatum who won, but it is what it is. The Gauntlet tag was good with Hank & Tank running the distance and just barely coming out of it with all the punishment they took. Feels like they have to be the guys to beat Fraxiom though it still somehow feels like it can easily go the other way. The brawl between the D'Angelo Family and Darkstate was good while it lasted. Interesting that Darkstate is getting such a big match at S&D considering how new the group still is. Guess it says how much they trust the Family to be able to carry them through if DS can't deliver on their own. Karmen/Thea was basically just a squash for Thea to show off in her return. Its good to see Thea back. I only wish they didn;t ruin her return for the viewers at home with the graphic right before commercial. Someone clearly fucked up there. The final segment with the NXT title participants was fine until Je'Von got to speak. Like Evans, but this showed he really isn't on Trick or Oba's level despite his talent. He really does feel unnecessary in this match. Still he at least got a standing tall moment at the end I suppose. Solid wrestling tonight with the gauntlet or 4-way easily being the highlights. The final build for S&D was good with everything fully set. Solid go home show. Eh, Bayley looks the same as always. She has always had the worst execution among the 4HW. I think she is about par for course for her usual though there is stuff like the dropkick through the corner outside and the sunset flip buckle bomb that I think she should drop. She just can't do the former all that well anymore as she is bigger now and the buckle bomb was always a bit 50/50. -
Is that a new thing? Don't recall those rules when I last went to school, but that was also 20 years ago.

Was hoping the reveal would be this month, but at least a date is finally set alongside an actual name.

Dug Gunther's opening promo. It still pushes just a bit how shook Günther is after last week's Jey promo while still giving Gunther that dangerous feeling. Honestly, I wish they didn't have Jey showing up later in the night. It was unnecessary and didn't add anything. Should have just left it as a fun moment for the crowd off camera. Bayley/Liv was damn good. Was expecting a short shenanigans match, but it was nice that the match had time to breathe and let both women show off. Its a shame Liv didn;t really get to impress like this during her actual title run though she is making the most of it every match she gets a chance to shine. Julius/Rey had its rougher aspects, but built up a pretty nice match with Julius really impressing the crowd despite the loss. The post match attack by Americano went as expected and wa snice heel moment for him. I saw parts of Kross/AJ. Kross is still so much a "and then the bell rang" type of wrestler. He isn't bad, but nothing he does really draws you in. Its a shame since the dude seems cool in interviews. Balor/Penta was nice while it lasted. Was cool to see Penta get the standing tall moment post match. Final segment with Roman/Heyman/Seth/Punk was solid and a decent final bit before WM. I do kind of like how Seth comes across a bit delusional mentioning his reason for why Roman and Punk can't be the future while leaning more and more toward the old mindset and actions that kept him from getting that same level of reverence from the audience. Mostly good wrestling and solid build for Wrestlemania. Particularly dug Bayley/Liv & the promo vids for Io, Rhea, and Bianca. Solid-good show. -
I'm sure I will enjoy the show, but I hate how they muddied the water with the multi-person matches. Je'Von was not needed. Vaquer should have just been defending against Jordynne or Giulia.

Not sure why anyone would expect any issues with Jey/Gunther. They have had a good match and hot crowd every time they wrestled. No reason to think anything different outside of a smarkier crowd maybe pulling for Gunther.
-
Sting/Taker was just never going to happen then as apparently Taker's confidence was shot to hell after the concussion from Brock in the previous year.

After dealing with a lot of the health issues the past five+ years my father passed away late last night from a sudden cardiac arrest. He had been in the hospital seemingly fine after having his toes amputated, but between checkups where he was fine it just happened randomly. The nurse just sounded so stunned. My older brother and myself are doing fine so far though it hit my sisters and my dad's oldest sister hard as expected. I think we will all be fine with time though that suddenness still throws me even having some idea of his passing coming due to his worsening health over the years. My mother's flowers blooming for the first time in years feels like a bit of a sign now so I'd like to think he has just joined her happily on the other side.

Upcoming Video Game Releases (2025 & Beyond)
Eivion replied to RIPPA's topic in COMPUTERS & GAMES & TECH
The aesthetic for Marathon isn't my thing, but it looks good. I do like the atmosphere the game gives off. If it was more of PvE game with a focused story I would at least give it a try as what I have heard of Marathon's universe is pretty damn neat. Sadly I'm not into PvP so it was never going to be a game for me. I don't think we see too many from Destiny running to it. Some PvP players and streamers will for a bit, but I suspect they still stick to Destiny generally save for the ones who already left. Right now I mostly just want Marathon to succeed enough so Destiny is at least safe to continue. -

The problem with this is while Aldis wants to wrestle, Pearce seems very content in staying retired. -

Eivion replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in WWE PROGRAMMING
The opening was fine as a setup for the main event. I assume Solo ends up being Orton's Wrestlemania opponent, but I would be fine with Aldis finally lacing his boots up as he has never made it a secret he wants to wrestle. Th audience seemed into well enough as well. Tha tag gauntlet was fun despite the occasional messy moment. Still feels like it could have been booked a little better as Bayley/Lyra really didn't need to start this off. The crowd was particularly into Maxxine/Nattie. Felt like a wasted chance not giving real time to shine. Fenix/Berto was a great showcase for both guys. Frazer was good, but Berto definitely worked better Fenix and really let him shine while still getting in plenty of his own. Zelina/Chelsea was more of angle playing off the the Secret Hervice being too injured to help. Zelina got a countout victory while Chelsea was too distracted trying to get Wade and Joe to call Piper & Alba in. Was an amusing bit though it doesn't really do much for Vega who has lost tons of momentum the past few months. Cody's promo with the titles was good. Feels weird how the Rock has completely disappeared from this Cena feud though it also has probably been for the best. Tiffany/Roxanne was good. Dug Charlotte's post match attack as well. Kind of like how Wade has become the guy trying to reason with heels to keep them from being fired. Orton/Knight vs. Solo/Tama was pretty solid. Solo and Tama actually worked together better than expected, and this had some good energy coming from all involved. Production felt a bit off tonight with the crowd sound feeling muted in the first half and them covering the middle sections in darkness despite there being plenty of people in them. Was annoying as it felt like this was a better audience than some other US crowds they get. The actual wrestling here was mostly solid. Fenix/Berto and Tiffany/Roxanne were easily the standouts though the gauntlet and main event were fun watches. Story wise/segment wise it was decent though the Miz/Melo confrontation with the Street Profits and Cody's promo were the only real standouts. Its good to see Wrestlemania taking shape though its also frustrating how they have fumbled a bit on the mid card of the main roster the past month or two leading up to it. They forgot about the women's tag division after the one of the hottest women's matches this year in the Liv/Raquel win. They screwed up trying to turn the Street Profits heel again having left the men's side with no super over teams. I could go on, but I'm not trying to rant. I think Wrestlemania will turn out good, but I really hope we see a decent course correct and properly rebuild everyone up post Wrestlemania. This particular show was solid at least despite my general complaints. -
I was hoping Heresy ending this week meant we might see stuff next week, but it does feel like it would be too close to the big Marathon reveal. I did find it amusing that they apparently had to re-emphasize a summer release for Frontiers/Apollo due to Tassi being a doom scrolling dick.
-
Dug latest episode. Will be interesting to see how things end as it feels like we aren't necessarily going into to be big drama climax for this first half.
-
The general theory is either a delay is happening or they are/were waiting for Heresy to finish. Given we know there will be Marathon cosmetics, Marathon is getting its own big trailer reveal this weekend, and that Heresy feels like it ended about a week early with the final mission seemingly pushed up to this week it seems very likely we finally get a vidoc or some sort of info coming next week.
