  1. Yeah Reggie Bush, CRAWL BITCH CRAWL!!!
  2. BAD idea with the Nation turning face, they'd never be over around that time except for the Rock, and then they'd just turn on him.
  3. I'm gonna look that up because it sounds wonderful. Yeah, look for McMemphis on youtube
  4. George Scott, Pat Patterson, & Jim Barnett. Is that the same George Scott that booked for Crockett or am I thinking of someone else?
  5. Remember that retarded ass AWF Warriors Of Wrestling promotion? What if they still had a ton of has-beens like they did, but then started to bring in fresh talent from the indies and other places? And after doing so, what if they eliminated that asinine rounds system?
  6. Now I know Vince McMahon owned the whole kit and kaboodle in the WWF in the 80's, but I'm sure he had to have assigned bookers during that time period. Who were they, or did he just rely on producers? Also, we all know that Shawn Michaels was a major asshole backstage in the 90's, but did he really complain about Vader in their WWF title match at Summerslam? And as I look back at the match, did Vader really do anything in the match worth complaining about (missed spots, too stiff, etc.) or was HBK just being a little bitch?
  7. Batista vs. Trips in Hell In A Cell. I don't know what has to happen in order for WWE to permit hate-filled bloodbaths like this, but for fuck's sake it needs to happen like yesterday! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-8YodGpTQBk
  8. JBL gets fucked up in Japan and punks out Godzilla, and we also get a bonus Heel Beatdown
  9. Well hell, you wanna talk about announcer heel beatdowns? The asswhoopins that JR has received have been both legendary and disgusting. I couldn't find the segment by itself, so here it is with a promo from Vengeance. Actually there are a few heel beatdowns in this video- check out Undertaker depositing RVD's carcass on the trashcan. Here's Triple H attacking the Bikertaker backstage And here's Batista's heel turn from Bragging Rights 2009. You can't help but feel bad for Rey Rey here.
  10. Hogan vs Nikita would have been quite a dynamic program in the mid-80s, whether in JCP/NWA or in WWF. What if Nikita had gone up north after the Magnum car crash? Would Nikita/Hogan have been a big enough draw to pull in "93,000" into the Silverdome for Wrestlemania III? Highly unlikely. Oh they would've sold out the Cobo Hall in Detroit easily, but it takes a once in a lifetime guy like Andre and a well-booked feud to pull off 93,000 in Pontiac, Michigan.
  11. Yeah, but that's why you'd only run that area if you had serious money and connections in wrestling, so you can import people from other areas.
  12. Okay, before I watch any of those English matches, is there a rounds system? Sorry, but that's why I can't get into WXW because of it.
  13. I always kinda felt for states like Idaho, Montana, the Dakotas, Wyoming- they get ignored for everything else, someone could at least start a fucking indy up there!
  14. I live in Perryville, MO, and as soon as I get transportation I'll be frequently attending MMWA/SICW shows, and I might even give St. Louis Anarchy in Alton, Ill a look see. Really good indy scene around here. Four groups run in this area with solid products: Anarchy, SICW, MMWA, and Dynamo Pro. I'll have to check out Dynamo Pro as well. Hey man, you going to the ROH shows in Carbondale and Collinsville?
  15. Wait, what's this about Windham and counterfeiting?
  16. I sincerely doubt anything major changes from the plane ride from hell. The nWo in WWE was flailing badly to begin with, and Scott Hall likely wouldn't have changed it any more than he did. As far as Hennig being a transitional World Champion- considering that a few weeks before the Plane Ride from Hell happened, he was having the Perfect-Plex kicked out of at 1 counts (albeit to Big Show, but still), That kind of says he was never going to do more than be a Heat jobber in WWE. Assuming the plane ride from hell never happened, they could've at least given him a European title run or some shit.
  17. What if Sid hadn't decided to slice and dice Arn at that hotel in England? I know it's fucked up, but could we have really had a Vader-Sid main even at Starrcade and called that event a success in any shape or fashion?
  18. ECW invading RAW. Jesus Christ, I REALLY wish they didn't fuck this up.
  19. I live in Perryville, MO, and as soon as I get transportation I'll be frequently attending MMWA/SICW shows, and I might even give St. Louis Anarchy in Alton, Ill a look see.
  20. Weren't they already kinda turning into North Memphis at this point, with all the USWA and Smoky Mountain talent that appeared and got pushed there? And when I say North Memphis, I mean the actual hood too, with all the backstage fights and overweight rappers (Men On A Mission) running around.
  21. 1) I don't even wanna think of it because we have the most awesome New Japan era nowadays 2) You nailed it. Basically, Hogan's name value brought WCW money, even though the product in-ring sucked shit for a bit until Bischoff brought in the cruiserweights. 3) Could he? Akiyama rules don't get me wrong, but he's just as long in the tooth as Kobashi 4) ROH fans would turn against the company for pushing the same old guys, and Adam Cole and Elgin would be midcard enhancement talent. 5) Remember that thread I made about WWE turning popular heels into intolerable babyfaces? He would've fallen into that category had he signed with the WWF. 6) I don't know about all those other years, but it makes your head explode when you think about how much coin WWE could've made had he signed with them in 2001. And the dream matches!!! 7) TNA would never have been a thought
  22. So my tax return is coming up and I wanna buy some motherfucking wrestling DVD's! I know there used to be a guy here on the OG DVDVR boards that sold yearly comps (Goodhelmet or something?) and I bought 2008, 09 and 2010 from him. (By the way, if the guy I'm referring to is reading this thread, your comps made for some good shit to watch while I hit the weed! ) So anyone know where I can get a bunch of MOTYC's on DVD from like 2012 and 2013?
  23. Anyone know the background of Black Saturday, what planted the seeds for it, etc.?
  24. I think it's been stated many times the wheel wasn't gimmicked -- which itself could be an argument for Watts' state of mind. I think I heard it was supposed to be gimmicked but wasn't. WCW gon' WCW. I'm glad they actually gimmicked it the next year, because it gave us Cactus and Vader in a Texas death match rather than another goddamn cockamamie Coal Miner's Glove match.
  25. You know, I always wondered what the blowoff match would look like between Pillman and Goldust. I mean, would we still have Goldust going all weird?
