  1. What is this move even? A double cradle bridging belly-to-taint exploder suplex? Is there video of this being performed? You haven't watched Ricochet vs Ibushi yet? You are shitting me. "You ain't seen Bad Boys 2??"
  2. Misawa and Kawada (especially Kawada) are two of the best sellers ever in my opinion, and I know I'm not the only one who feels that way. You're gonna be surprised when you see how different this is to whatever stuff made you weary of the head-drop and no-sell nonsense. This is prime era All Japan, not Okada vs Tanahashi.
  3. I'm glad. I always hated his Gen Y Quasi-Cole Broke Dick Hipster Ass. He's one of the worst I've ever heard at actually putting over what is happening on the screen and usually just ends up trying to bury whoever he's with in the booth. He was insufferable.
  4. I'm glad you're doing this Matt. I know you like to do the slow-burn and come to the good shit organically, but like, what if you died tomorrow? What if you died and the last match you watched was Marco Corleone vs. Universo 2000 Anyways yeah I'm glad you're doing this
  5. Jetlag uploaded that a few weeks ago when the DVD finally surfaced. It's a lot of fun as you'd expect. I'm wondering if the Mendoza/Tajiri match was taped.
  6. This discussion of framistans is infinitely more interesting than anything I've seen in this thread before
  7. Knowing Matt's tendencies, he will probably start out by watching every Keita Yano match. What does this even mean! Sorry, I'm still just giving you a hard time for watching Marco Corleone matches.
  8. Knowing Matt's tendencies, he will probably start out by watching every Keita Yano match.
  9. The reason I like these tournaments is because it makes me ask myself questions like The Colossal Connection vs. Footloose. I swear we need a newsletter to get sent out for these things. Maybe I need to subscribe to this forum when it's between tournaments so I know when the next one starts.
  10. I was just talking about that with someone, coincidentally. The idea was that there would be a Hanna-Barbera style angle coming out of his concussion from that Kofi match that one time. He'd come out next week and be a really fantastic wrestler. Then a few months later Kofi would kick him in the head again and he'd go back to being the Miz. The idea fell through when I realized they'd have to recast someone else as the Miz for those months.
  11. It's almost as if... nobody watches anything but New Japan... Hmm..
  12. Wasn't it Phil Schneider who described those matches as "Battlarts on meth"? I believe it was "meth-head Battlarts." Battlarts on meth, metaphorically speaking, would be too much for anyone to handle I think.
  13. I am going back a few pages here but I just need to say this. Ian Rotten, especially in 2002, was one of the best workers in the world. His quasi Battlarts matches with guys like Hero and Tarek the Great were easily among the best things on the indies in those days. Anyone who disagrees is just ignorant.
  14. The Koshinaka vs. Satanico is in full here: http://www.veoh.com/watch/v621664dhGzMYDG?h1=CMLL+-++CVC+-+El+Satanico+vs.+Shiro+Koshinaka
  15. Remember the time Eddie Gilbert's face spontaneously combusted
  16. oh shit I didn't realize we were in the wrestling thread.
  17. I consider myself a WWE fan, I'm just bored with it. I can't be the only one who is totally bored with this (excepting maybe Cesaro/Sheamus and whatever is going on with Alicia Fox) and I'm just curious since I haven't seen many people mentioning similar feelings. Maybe I'm way off.
  18. Between the Shield & Barrett getting thrown into programs with the most boring old fucks imaginable and Bryan's absence due to the injury, these shows are just impossible to sit through anymore. I gave up during Rose/Swagger and started watching more of the short CMLL spotfests from the past month. Who is still enjoying this stuff? What kind of person is actually excited for Payback?
  19. Stop watching those bad things Matt. 2009 IWRG is the specific thing that got me into lucha, and I know I'm not the only one.
  20. THREE REPLIES? WHAT!!!!!!!!! !! Here are the Navarro & Sons vs. Black Terry & Proteges matches from April 2009. CLASSIC. MUST WATCH.
  21. Here is my contribution to the thread: Blue Jeans Panther
  22. He meant bed. He meant Van Morrison is rolling over in his bed.
  23. Why is that Flamita match so hard to find? What am I doing wrong EDIT: Nevermind, I was fucking up by putting Susumu's last name when he doesn't even use it anymore. EDIT2: Flamita vs. Jimmy Susumu (DG 5/05) - NO - Glorified CZW midcard spotfest. Flamita is crisp at times but horribly embarrassing at others. Don't believe the hype. There's a dozen guys in Mexico with more impressive highspots than this dude, and a few of them even know how to build to a finish.
