  1. Just started playing it earlier today on the PS4 oddly enough . It was one of those games that was free forever ago and I finally decided to give it a shot. I'm past the initial training but having fun so far. If it's free for anyone else I'd definitely recommend trying it out
  2. I'll still never understand why Big Show of all people was the first guy to beat Brock. I remember it being a fun five minute match otherwise.
  3. Though a superplex wasn't involved, Undertaker collapsed the ring with his lightning at the 2006 Royal Rumble show. I was in attendance and everyone was pumped for Mysterio winning the Rumble and couldn't figure out why they wouldn't end the show with that match. When Undertaker came out at the end of Angle vs Mark Henry and blew up the ring it made sense. I remember the effects looking terrible and it was a bummer ending to the night.
  4. I am almost positive I first heard that phrase in a Three Stooges short. I say it quite often now that I think about it.
  5. I'm in the same boat with my PS4, it's almost six years old now. I usually don't buy new consoles but have some extra cash and want to make the 4k upgrade. I just don't see any reason to get a PS5 anytime soon though.
  6. Chris Jericho keeps making it harder and harder for me to disassociate the wrestler from the man himself. That whole event seems insane.
  7. Orange Cassidy inspired me to buy my first wrestling shirt in a decade a few weeks ago. I rarely get to watch Dynamite in full but I always track his segments down. Moxley and Jericho sold me on giving AEW a chance but I'm digging more and more of the other guys the more I see them. The lack of crowds still takes me out of it but they've been doing a decent job with that as well.
  8. Another Call of Duty game already? Pretty disappointing lineup. I still haven't fired up the one they gave us a few months ago, should I just play this one instead?
  9. I actually found him interesting so this sounds about right. Being a lapsed WWE fan is getting pretty lame. They debut a dude and months later he's a JTTS or off tv completely. I gave up after Ricochet became just some guy and just remembered that they both debuted as a random tag team. I just can't understand the misuse of talent.
  10. I've had very few issues buying or downloading games from the PS store on my console but it is guaranteed to crash at least once every single time I open it up. I exclusively do digital downloads at this point but I have always found it odd that the store is so spotty
  11. I'm not huge into the trophies but as a few others said if it's not too hard I like the idea of going for a platinum trophy. I only have the one for Spider-Man but am tempted to go for the Horizon Zero Dawn platinum as I'm close to finishing that up. I'll probably get GoT in the next week or two since I'm apparently the only PS4 owner who doesn't have it yet. Also to all the Gwent lovers, I was late to the party but Thronebreaker: Witcher Tales was a great time with a more complex version of Gwent. The story was fun and the campaign took damn near 40 hours.
  12. Since we're all being nostalgic, I joined back in '05 if I had to guess. I remember the sleaze thread but I remember at least lurking before then. I pretty much quit watching wrestling around the Benoit murders but have always kept up with WWE and wrestling in general on this board. I appreciate the dialogue everyone here has and have found fun matches to watch over the years as well as great movie recommendations and videogame chat.
  13. I was a gigantic Steve Blackman fan, I even had his (only?) shirt. I was there live for his SummerSlam match against Shane and super pumped when he did the big dive. His schtick didn't have much to it but I'll always fondly recall that brief push he had.
  14. I find the three man booth on commentary to be super-distracting. A third is acceptable when it's a guest announcer or someone building heat for a match, otherwise it's just a lot of noise. I associate JR with most of my fondest wrestling memories of the past but every time I watch AEW he comes off as the weakest link.
  15. I still have so much Mongo and Regal to absorb, I don't think I can take a Sid account right now.
  16. I can get down with Battlefront 2 being a freebie. I saw it for as low as 7 bucks over the past few months but I remember how much I disliked the first one so I always passed up the deal.
  17. I actually just finished Spider-Man last month, even got my first platinum trophy. Easily my favorite superhero game. Call of Duty doesn't do much for me since I can already play Warzone for free.
  18. It's kinda weird comparing those two. I always saw them as equals in WWE when I watched, but Cena clearly took over as the number one guy. Most people I know like John Cena and know him as a wrestling guy, even if they've never watched a second of WWE. Everyone I know loves Drax and raves about Dave Bautista in other movies but a lot of them don't even know he was a top draw wrestler. As much as I love Big Dave, Cena is still the most popular guy.
  19. I only read about Lee/Harper before I saw him in action a few years ago against Randy Orton. Luke Harper looked like a genuine threat in that match (I think it must have been around that Orton/Wyatt WrestleMania.) I liked him ever since, but I think his AEW gear is kind of lame. His old Wyatt gear wouldn't click with his current gimmick but I thought it was a good look.
