Loving this crowd tonight, and them choosing to cheer for Ricky Starks over Brian Cage. Starks is a future superstar, just oozes charisma. Malakai Black is just money. Its random, but im hoping for this quote being used by him at some point during this feud, and I don't know why: "So where do you go, Cody? To the left where there's nothing right? Or to the right, where there's nothing left?" Just fits so well to me. And could this lead to a darker Cody after being defeated by Black?

Dan Lambert playing the part of Jim Cornette was interesting. khan's retort to Cornettes rants was clever if anything. could of condensed it a bit, and not have someone with little to no experience as a wrestling heel try to fill time, but I digress. Lance Archer playing aews version of (ecws) 911 got the reaction I'm assuming they hoped it would get. he fits in that role nicely at least. PA system needs a tweak still, but I'll give them a break since this was the first show on the road in awhile. I'm sure the live audience has no problems hearing the entrance music, but at home, the only song I heard clearly was the Pixies.

Just a quick opinion, because others have done such a great job at summarizing my opinions of the show: There looks to be about three different versions of 'Ric Flair' floating around AEW, two that are obvious, and one that will eventually sneak up and could possibly get a 'The Rock vibe. First two are Kenny Omega and MJF, and I think charisma-wise MJF out performs omega in this role. I just want to hate MJF more and that makes me like him. The third Nature Boy esq guy could be Ricky Starks, but it is too early to tell, and it may just be a vibe I get and he could very well evolve into his own thing. The aforementioned omega and mjf just exude this future Flair persona to me, and it's so glaring, that one of the two is going to have to go a different route, imo.

They have a good opportunity to build some real drama with Cody Rhodes questioning arn anderson on if that four horseman reunion a few weeks back was just saying 'hi' to old friends or something deeper. and a great tie in to MJF and their past and the rhodes-anderson history. Great television ahead if they go that route.

How many more appearances does Matt Cardona have left for AEW? I could see him being used as the third man with cody and Darby against team taz.

They can't make Shayna Brock Lesnar, as stated above, but she would make for a very good female version of FTW Taz.

I'm starting to feel like the real money match at Mania is Goldberg-Cena. We all know it's not good for the companies future, but a strong selling point as one of the only Dream Matches never done. And you can still do the Reigns-Fiend horror film as well.

And to think, Terry Funk was the 53 year old hardcore legend seemingly on his deathbed 23 years ago, as he outlasted two others and then best Raven at Barely Legal to win the Ecw world title. Funk got unanimous praise, unlike Goldberg.

Maybe have Nia Jax pull a Finn Balor and come out to challenge Shayna? In a perfect world, we get Tessa Blanchard, but contracts and such.
