He was perfect as the Super Porky type in a trios match. Like don’t expect him to dazzle you, but expect the crowd to react in a fun way to his spots. Groon we were somehow supposed to take seriously, but Strongman was just a fun freak show.

Yeah, he knew his place, and the fucker could emote. His was Strongman, too. Fucking Strongman was his name. Terrible in the G1 he was in, though.

He’s like John Cena. You’ll ruffle his feathers to the point he’ll go to dark places, but at the end the day he’s as smooth as a tall glass of OJ, and you will never truly change him. Guys let’s all put ourselves in an adult sized trench coat, say we are Ron Reise, and get a EVP position. Because we clearly have the goods where it counts. That’s in the noggin.

Making Orange Cassidy a more serious character would be a terrible mistake. It’s like when Richie left they gave all the dramatic stories to Fonzie. The Fonz was at his best when he was silly, and occasionally dipped into drama(See the Pinkie Tuscadero two parter as an example).

Well he did an episode of Laverne & Shirley. I think Fonz was on Mork, but I’m not sure. There was also the cartoon, lunch boxes, and he might’ve appeared as the character on a variety program. Fonzie was everywhere. Orange Cassidy can be that for kids today. Just think of the potential in a Orange Cassidy Netflix animated series. I can see it now... Orange Cassidy & His Best Friends.

Oh wow, did Dr. Death use that spot regularly? I’ve seen almost all his work in JCP, and AJPW. I don’t think I remember him using that. -
Yeah, don’t doubt a luchador to evolve. Or at least still be high flyers, but use smoke, and mirrors to hide the fact they aren’t doing corkscrew ranas to the floor anymore.

Bryan Alvarez has become another guy people meme’d into being a monument of smark opinions. My advice right now about podcast opinions on wrestling... I used to enjoy listening, and reading recaps of stuff I didn’t watch, but it got to a point where I found it upsetting because it felt predatory how they would encourage disgruntled viewings of these programs on its listeners. So I quit that shit, because why the fuck would I read about shows I don’t want to watch? I mean sometimes you can’t avoid it because it’ll be the topic of the day, but I’m trying even more than ever in the past week, or two to avoid it because I don’t want to be a visible crank online, or in public. I’ll sometimes slip up, but I’ll try to reel it in as best as I can.

You could really tie all the recent Cornette stuff to Maffew basically creating the Cornette face meme’s, that somehow made Jim the purveyor of what’s good, and what’s bad in professional wrestling.
