  1. Yeah Diggle gives Ollie the talk and then Ollie saves Diggle from getting beatdown by a super villain.
  2. I agree I think the movie would be received better if it was something else other than Halloween. I really thought the first one was pretty good but again I never felt interested to see the second one. Thats the only Zombie movie I have ever seen none of the others really have interested me.
  3. I enjoyed the first Halloween movie of Zombies. It wasn't the greatest thing ever but I enjoyed it....apparently not enough to watch the second one but none the less it was ok. That being said the first Halloween to me is the most boring slasher flick of the "originals" if you will.
  4. Even if his script got junked years ago it doesn't take much to get a credit on the film does it? If they pulled any part of this script from his from dialogue to an idea wouldn't that get him a credit?
  5. I have the Muskateers ready to watch but I haven't watched it yet. Someone else pointed out earlier that there is so much TV. I pretty much have an order I go in. I watch one season of each show as I move down my list adding shows as they debut. I'm done with the first episode of Vikings and I thought it was a bit slow for a show called "Vikings" but I was really interested in the stories they did present. The Lord being pissed at the farmer. The farmer wanting to sail west. The farmers friend wanting to fuck his wife. The little boy is an interesting part of it. So I like it so far and its been renewed for a third season so I should get good mileage out of it.
  6. So I guess its not really news but I've seen a lot of tv news sites saying Halt and Catch won't be getting renewed and Crossbones was just cancelled. It was on my to do watch list but I guess I'll settle for Black Sails if anyone has seen it how good is it?
  7. I barely even remember the first one outside of it being average. The trailer makes this one look good so of course I'm sure it won't be.
  8. Its hard to believe that guy used to be pretty flabby and even dare I say "small" compared to others in his profession. Now I can't think of anyone "in this business" as Paul would say that is more jacked. He's bigger than HHH was in 2002 and dare I say he's bigger than Warrior and Hogan even at their peak or he certainly comes across as that huge. Maybe he wouldn't look so big standing next to guys "his own size". Seems like just yesterday he was getting surgery on his fatty pecs.
  9. I don't mind most Bay movies. I never watched anything Transformers so the first two movies were acceptable enough popcorn blockbusters. I love the Bad Boys movies. The Rock, Armageddon. I owned all of those on DVD at one time or another. I'm in no big hurry to see the next Transformers movie but that has more to do with me not really giving a shit about Transformers. I am very excited for the Turtles movie though. If he was as bad as people make him out to be and if his movies were "unwatchable" I don't think he would be the 8th highest grossing director of all time.
  10. I'm surprised its taking them SIX years from 4 to 5. I thought the fourth one was pretty lame but its the 13th highest grossing film of all time and they are waiting six years to put another one out? That doesn't make any sense. Of the three movies Hitman, 50 Shades and Hercules I'd say Morrison's movie actually looks like the best one in my opinion. Does he have anything else coming out is he pretty much an actor these days? I'm glad to hear he is doing well for himself.
  11. Yeah that trailer looked extremely dull. Showgirls was actually fairly campy and lively for the most part.
  12. So I finished Under the Dome season 1 at at around the halfway point I was very interested in learning something new. I knew there was a season 2 so I didn't expect to learn the origin of the dome but I wanted SOME new information. Instead I didn't get any new information and the show stop being sci fi and started just being "evil councilmen takes control of his city by force". It fell off horribly bad to the point where its nearly killed my interest. Sadly it pretended as a sci fi show when most of it was bad drama and then the last 30 seconds something would "happen". I can't stand the Junior character and the cop is pretty useless as a character all the way around. I was really digging the first few episodes and hadn't been as interested in the mystery sci fi aspect of a show since Flashforward (RIP damn I loved that show). Now its onto Bates Motel and I've never seen Psycho. I'm not a fan of black and white movies and I'm not a fan of black and white movies that where made when my dad was still in the womb. I'm sure its a great movie I read the wiki page and thats good enough for me. The show is hit and miss I would almost enjoy it more if it wasn't Psycho and it was an original piece. The interesting parts of this show with the human trafficking, the drug trafficking, the corruption in the town, etc. But to the best of my knowledge nothing outside of Norma being very overbearing, controlling and protective of Norman and of course the hotel have anything to do with the show. I like it well enough but again I'd like it more if it wasn't Bates Motel and it was just an original story. The episode I just watched had the the guy who played The Dollmaker from Arrow in it as a villain so thats cool.
  13. I'm glad these last two movies have not been good at all. That being said when ASM2 bombed everyone panicked but truthfully nearly every movie this summer has been below expectations so I don't think it was a commentary on ASM as much as movies in general. I wouldn't even say ASM2 bombed its still the sixth highest grossing movie of the year and has done over 200 million domestically.
  14. I didn't think there was anyway they would cancel it but I just looked at the ratings. The highest rated episode they have had is 1.7 million viewers. True Detective is their second lowest rated show and I think the lowest viewed episode they had was 1.67 million. So Leftovers highest rated episode to date would be damn near the lowest viewed episode for their lowest viewed dramatic series. Two episodes ago it dropped to 1.3 million viewers. I can't recall the last drama of HBO's that was one and done but then again looking at the rest of their dramas they all pull in 3 and 4 million viewers. Unless you're Game of Thrones then you push nearly 7.5 million viewers on the reg.
  15. The only show on here to make it past two seasons is Person of Interest and half of them only made it one season.
  16. I really liked that show for about the first half of its run but after Medellin the show fell apart for me. I watched it until the end but I felt like by the end nobody on the show was any fun anymore. Some of it was pretty silly towards the end Turtle doing deals with billionaires on their private flights, etc.
  17. So watching Under the Dome and I'm just at halfway through with six episodes left. I like the show but I'm starting to worry the most interesting thing about the show is the eternal question of whats up with the dome? That and the red head reporter is pretty hot. I tend to like most of the characters ok but I find some scenes pretty silly. Ollie had just informed Big Jim that he stole his propane and had one guy with a gun guarding what is now Ollie's propane. There is a lot I find silly about this. You have a town of I don't know even if its only a few hundred people in this town. If they are that desperate and thirsty for water what is one guy with a gun on his property going to do to stop them from eventually commandeering his water? They go the diplomatic route and give him all the propane he can use with plenty more on the way. He then for some reason "steals" the propane by having seemingly one guy with a gun change the locks. Well I don't know why he would bother with all of this when he didn't seem to be going back on his deal about the water. Even if he was just "power hungry" or whatever you want to call it I'm not sure why one guy holding a gun and changing the locks again in a town of hundreds would be that menacing. Then Jim who had downed an entire bottle of hard liquor in a manner of hours was able to shoot the car perfectly to make it explode. I'm pretty sure on Mythbusters they proved it doesn't work like that by shooting several holes into tanks but maybe I'm wrong. Either way it seemed way over the top and I think it would have been just as effective for Jim to just kill the guy. It seemed pretty lame. Outside of that the cop lady has like zero charisma. Her fiance who I can't hear speak and have only seen on screen just a few moments here and there has more charisma than she does in this show. Barbie continuing to be a super hero in the town seems lame as well. All in all I like the show and I'm ok with the slow burn to answers when it comes to the dome I just hope the payoff isn't lame. I should have it finished by tommorow night and then its onto Bates Motel which I've never seen the original movie so it should be interesting.
  18. I just got done watching Atlantis and although it wasn't horrible it was incredibly hokey and predictable not too mention most of the time it lacked any real story telling. I know its made by the same guys that made Merlin and you can tell. Its the same corny humor, monster of the week, chosen one, kind of stuff. Not a lot of it makes sense. Jason knows all of these stories of Madusa and others only when he gets to Atlantis they haven't happened yet. Well how could anyone tell these stories if the events haven't happened yet? Virtually the entire season nothing happened and even less was explained until the final two episodes. I might give it another watch Addy as Hercules was the best part of the entire show.
  19. So I just started watching Under the Dome and I'm two episodes in. Its really hard to get adjusted to Hank not being Hank. He also seems to have thinned out a lot in this show or maybe I just remember him being a bit thicker. Two episodes in and there are some things that seem kind of lame. This Barbie guy seems to always be in the right spot at exactly the right time to be town hero. The chick who's husband he killed I kind of dig her. I have never read the book so all of the questions on how this dome works, why its here, who put it here, they are all very cool questions and I'm interesting in finding out the answers to. With only ten episode seasons they make for easy viewing. I just got done watching another hour show and it felt like it went on forever while this one seems to fly by. So far I dig it.
  20. This is one thing I like about Arrow and now apparently Flash they grab some really obscure characters and make them players and I like that. I enjoyed the Dollmaker on Arrow, I don't know if Deadshot is obsure but I never see him doing much but he's a fairly big deal on Arrow at times.
  21. I never cared for the cartoon I thought it was a bit goofy and honestly if Jay can't make a song about the word fuck then I'm not too interested in seeing it. I really enjoyed Mallrats, Dogma and Jay and Silent Bob Strike back. The original Clerks didn't do anything for me, Chasing Amy was a bit pretentious and I thought Clerks II tried WAY too hard and really wasn't that funny. Watching it again even the whole Porch Monkey skit they did and the Lord of the Rings gag weren't that funny. I enjoyed Max and Miri make a Porno even if it was mostly an average Apatow movie. I never saw Red State but I loved the concept. Honestly though I kind of liked it when he just had his message board though. Listening to the guy on Podcasts he grates on my nerves really quickly.
  22. Thats interesting mostly because in the comics Felicity is involved with Firestorm. Obviously they didn't go that route but interesting none the less.
  23. Yeah they said they would distribute it so I would imagine he's free to make it if he can scrap together six million. Yeah no doubt Smith does well (is podcasting that big of a business though). I know nothing about the live gigs but it seems like Smith has a very niche but loyal audience. I would imagine that he's been doing live gigs for what like ten years now? I would imagine that his fanbase as well as just getting older in general they would also be less inclined to continue to see him but I could be talking out of my ass I'm sure the guy does just fine with it. Its kind of interesting how Apatow just completely took over his spot in Hollywood overnight seemingly.
  24. I'm not sure if its going to even be any good. Normally I would be all for alien impregnation and robot sons for astronaut women but I'll be shocked if its even watchable.
  25. So then does the movie not have financing? I thought he said something about being able to finance it all on his own. Six million sounds low but I guess thats about right when the Askewniverse movies hit in the 25-35 range if I'm not mistaken. Isn't he doing some movie about a guy in a Walrus costume?
