[OCT 2016] WRESTLING DISCUSSION THREAD

Well that's logical. whom else could really lead NXT that's ready? NXT isn't purely about developmental anymore... they're a super indy with a mix of established names and kids. Given time, I can see Roderick Strong becoming The Guy.... but until then it's just Nakamura. -

Kevin Dunn, of a people, could very well end up being the downfall for Nakamura. -
That'll earn him some cred in the back.

His super kick last week was the best I've seen since Chris Adams. -

I wonder if the NWA would make more money off their OnDemand if they partnered with the WWE when they go to the tiered plan. Offer the NWA library as an adjunct service for say $5/month. the NWA would take home say $2.50 per subscription and wouldn't have to deal with any of the production. I think with that added customer base they'd increase their profits immensely. -

After watching some absolutely horridly produced NWA-Smoky Mountain on one of the current roku apps for free I'd be inclined to pass due to fear of paying double for inferior quality production. -

What's surreal is that Kobashi and Hogan are almost the same size. I would have never guessed that -

The funny thing is when I tried to access The Fight Network app on my roku this morning it popped up with a message it was no longer available

I really want a Briscoe vs Broken Brothers feud... just for the homemade promo spots.

Couldn't Corgan just buy the tv contract through liquidation? That's all he wants.

I am incredibly impressed by the vernacular of that writer. -

Who had the book the last few months? Dusty? A lot of the stuff looked like Dusty's work. I know Kevin Sullivan had it in January -
It's a shame they don't own any IP they could sell off like AJ Styles

WCW 2001 right before they collapsed is what holds up well. The next generation of Cruiserweights like Kid Romeo, Elix Skipper and the Cruiserweight Tag Titles are definitely highlights as they're carried / shown the ropes by Rey & Kidman in their Filthy Animals days. For the Heavyweights you had Scott Steiner doing the best millenium Billy Graham impersonation ever as he battled DDP and the newly elevated Booker T. All good stuff. -
Sounds like Billy finally realized he was being taken as a mark

I thought Wesley Willis was dead.

Bret wouldn't have stood for the T&A aspect that the WWF was putting out there. I would think he would have called it a day in the WWF athe that point and maybe went over seas instead WCW. -

I don't think Dolph has ever annoyed me in a match as much as he did tonight.
