  1. Even worse, imagine them being Beavis and Butthead type friends.
  2. I don't think I ever appreciated El Desperado until the last few months. He's had a great year. For me, Kevin Owens: He gets put into some of the legitimately dumbest segments on WWE television, yet to me, he never is worse for it. He reminds me of the people guests on the Muppet Show. He's still himself, even though he's put in an environment of sheer lunacy. Shingo: I think he does everything well in his matches. Nakamura/Boogs: The WWE-ized version of Nakamura is kind of boring, but teaming him up with a sidekick/bestie who looks like Freddie Mercury who shreds the guitar on their way to the ring shouldn't be this entertaining. I could watch them forever. It is definitely a case of the sum being greater than the parts. CM Punk: One of the things that that has impressed me the most about his comeback is how he sticks out, for all the little things he does in his matches. Not that he's phoning it in, but it doesn't seem like he's trying to kill himself in every match. I'll give an honorable mention to Cody Rhodes. Like he's done changed anything, character/promo/work wise. But a new change of scenery has done him wonders.
  3. A little Googleing and it turns out the last one was in 2009.
  4. I was having this conversation with a friend the other day, as far as my top ten of all time. The only thing I can confirm is that Bret and Foley are always #1 and #2 (flopping depending on how the day is going). Everyone else is subject to change depending on what I watched last.
  5. I wasn't feeling him doing a Bloodsport show. But now I do thanks to this. Good job!
  6. Everything about this era of Savage was ridiculous and amazing at the same time. It's been an eternity since I bought a wrestling figure, but I proudly have one of this on my shelf.
  7. Quite honestly, the international partners might not even notice. Especially if they load it with Raw/SD recaps.
  8. Especially if they followed the HBK/Diesel blueprint.
  9. Was in the audience that night and 100% agree.
  10. "Deep Dish" Adam Scherr just might be the best new name in wrestlng.
  11. I never knew/noticed that. I guess it's time for me to hand in my Mick Foley fan club badge. Agree that the Hurt Business was ended way too early. No one in the group was ever that interesting to me, but somehow as a well dressed unit they became the squad. even with this stupid Goldberg match going the way it most likely will, it would have been fun seeing the old man spear Benjamin and Alexander on his way to victory in some contrived match interference spots.
  12. I was listening on my commute this morning and it came out of nowhere.
  13. It is weird with Jake and Lance...they are pretty much the same size. It's kind of the weird father/son dynamic they have with Darby and Sting.
  14. I've been wondering that for a while. It looks bigger and smaller than a WWE ring at the same time, and your description explains why.
  15. FWIW, the first thing I though of was Animaniacs, too.
  16. They did give us the Filthy Island special set in the back woods of the Von Erich ranch. It felt like it was a missing episode of Trailer Park Boys and I'll be forever grateful.
  17. Yeah. Storyline wise, they are CONTRA's nameless/faceless goons. I assume they're just local guys or anyone available.
  18. Maybe they'll do there own exploding ring match!
  19. I guess it's because Gage really is that psycho white trash dude? I'm not really a fan of him or the GCW/CZW death match stuff at all, and I'm really burnt out on watching AEW. But he's a compelling enough person that I'll definitely check him this out. This is definitely the type of side-show stuff that you need from time to time.
  20. I would assume it would have been in Chikara, but a quick look through the end of Cesaro's time there it never looks like they had a logical match. They were doing a G1 style block tournament for the Grand Champion and neither Cesaro or Kingston were in the same block.
