  1. I rewatched the segment with this in mind and it definitely cracked me up.
  2. I had the same reaction after the diatribe that preceded it. I enjoyed the closing angle and honestly, I've always been a fan of the Bucks in-ring, but had little use for them as characters. That changed with this heel turn and the more they lean into it the better it gets. I feel like everytime AEW drops the ball, they course correct nicely and learn from their mistakes. A lot of the hand-wringing rom the Anti-AEW troll contingent doesn't take into account that TK and AEW itself are still a young company. Mistakes will be made and honestly, they haven't made nearly as many as I would've expected from a young(ish) wrestling company. My main issue with last night was how Swerve was treated. No promo, no "basking in the afterglow" of his World Title win. Just a match, a good match and that was that. I feel like Swerve promo into match with Fletcher would've been a better start to the show than the Best(Worst?) Friends and I enjoyed that as well. Bookend the show with your biggest angles. Also, I'm still hurt by this Best Friend breakup angle, especially(as it was mentioned before), Chuck being pushed to say shit. Brings a tear to my eye, but, Chuck/Trent in a parking lot and the evetual OC/Trent match are going to be great.
  3. Lack of womens tag belts is one of my biggest issues with AEW currently(and also splitting up the Best Friends)
  4. Now I wonder on the possibility of Bobby Fish coming back and helping O'Reilly. I could see reDragon taking the ROH tag belts from Kingdom, because I definitely don't see Strong losing right now.
  5. Gable as a killer is going to be amazing and I can't wait.
  6. Thank you, this sums up Strong perfectly for me as well. He always came across "forgettable" to me until he starts slinging backbreakers and you go "fuck yeah". I did like the personality he showed with Neck Strong though.
  7. I guess I'm in the minority that is actually looking forward to seeing Strong/O'Reilly. Always enjoyed Strong in-ring, less so outside of it, but O'Reilly has always been a fun watch, though i really miss denim vest sporting NXT O'Reilly. His match v Balor is still one of my favorite NXT matches of all time.
  8. Dijak deserves a real main roster run, him and McIntyre trading verbal jabs would be absolutely incredible.
  9. O'Reilly v Strong or the International Championship added.
  10. If I was fantasy booking Wembley, the top 3 matches I'd have to have would be Ospreay/Swerve for the title/Main Event Danielson/McGuiness and if Omega is healthy Hangman and Omega v The Young Bucks. Those three matches would be incredible.
  11. I don't think AEW should've responded and took the high road, but by all accounts, everyone had moved on until Idiot opened his mouth to a WWE shill on a WWE shill show. Again, i don't think AEW/TK/Bucks should've responded, but using the footage, i really think it came out the best possible way it could and like I stated above, the promo by FTR was a nice "You know what happened, let's move the fuck on now" promo. On the subject of Ospreay, I have absolutely no issue with him coming back at HHH
  12. Yeah, that was a real bad look but I liked it being bookended with FTR's promo. With Dynasty coming up, i feel like this is 2 steps back to take 3 steps forward. The wrestling last night was quality, I really enjoyed May/Jay and Dynasty's card is amazing.
  13. I was at the show live and I'd have to respectfully disagree as well. It also had the second loudest crowd reaction, at least from my section, outside of the Sting match.
  14. I was a huge Hardys fan during their primes and really liked what Matt has done, but is it just me or does it seem like both Matt and Jeff overvalue themselves in the current times
  15. The guy can't even keep his mouth shut about shit that doesn't matter anymore on the week where he's involved in one of the bigger angles on one of the biggest Manias. The guy can't even play checkers and you want him to play chess lol
  16. "his side", not himself. So he basically just told his side without reporters or anyone else being a mouth piece.
  17. So he's saying nothing that hasn't been said before from his side? Just stirring the pot because....reasons?
  18. This might sound like hyperbole, but it's not....outside of the Best Friends not getting a tag title run, because that is never going to be topped to me, as the most disappointed I've been in AEW. That's a barebones insult of a bracket with a brutally telegraphed ending. Hell, I would've preferred an obvious FTR/BCC final despite being semi tired of Mox.
  19. v Athena, v Hayter and v Shida are my top 3. I do want to see a verbal sparring with her and Britt though.
  20. Rumor going around that Cavill is playing Wolverine in Deadpool and Wolverine.....Assuming it's a variant, or maybe the MCU version of the character?
  21. I give all the credit in the world to Nick Jackson removing all headwear to the ring and really embracing that receding hairline. It genuinely adds so much for me considering he spent years hiding it.
  22. I think this was about as "wholesome" as a Dark Side episode could be. There was no negative comments on his character, nothing about him as a father that was negative. He was just a great human being in a sawmill of a business. I watched him as a kid and it didn't really register so much, but seeing this, i retroactively remember so much of his stuff.
  23. Wow! I honestly cannot thank you enough for this post, and look forward to diving in.
  24. Yeah, I don't think so. My feelings on Punk are well known and not worth rehashing, but he was a malcontent and miserable prick and Miro seemingly doesn't want anything to do with what creative wants to do with him. 2 people are not indicative of an "AEW problem"
