  1. That's just the thing - the show could be perfectly booked wrestling all around this one segment and it would still be embarrassing as hell and something you couldn't excuse when sitting down and watching with a non-fan. It's basically "This is why I stopped watching wrestling" or "This is why I never watched this shit," and there's no argument to be made against that. Not only does it push away a potential new viewer, it doesn't even do anything for the established viewer - the only people that could possibly enjoy it are children, who would enjoy nearly anything WWE puts on anyway.
  2. Ah, so close, but presenting your own terrible opinion as the opinion of the "vast majority of wrestling fans" is the signature move of the stereotypical HHH hater.
  3. Again, I don't know if you're laying blame at the right person's feet. Triple H is probably far more responsible.
  4. But Six String was suggesting that Johnny was somehow to blame for the failure of recent call-ups as if he was involved with creative or still head of talent relations, when that isn't the case.
  5. It's a wild accusation to say that Laurinaitis needs to go away, because he already has.
  6. Give the man time to backpedal.
  7. I don't know why I find it so hilarious that they named that guy "Bram." Very TNA.
  8. Not only has it been suggested, but it's an idea that has been around since Regal was in WCW in the late 90's. Possibly the most fantasy booked suggestion in IWC history outside of a Cena turn.
  9. He isn't being added to the Shield feud. It's just a six-man tag. Relax. Also, when will the A and B'ers of the world learn that all of their B's turn into a sunglasses wearing smiley?
  10. We've all seen the WWE line of reasoning being "take the shit we give you and make it something great," which she hasn't. She's had limited promo time and been boring and her matches, while clearly more technically sound than the rest of the divas, haven't been anything special enough to gain the interest of the crowd. You could say she "should" be given more, but you could say that about nearly the entire roster. I might be being a little hard on her, but the lack of anything interesting happening with the Divas is glaring after seeing what AJ was able to do before she left.
  11. Why is it surprising that Vince and Dunn aren't into Paige? She has no character and does nothing. Good matches are irrelevant in WWE.
  12. Yeah, the whole Rollins infiltrating The Authority thing seems like wishful thinking from Shield fans and would make a whole lot less sense than Rollins just turning heel.
  13. I think we all know there aren't any really good guys that post in the TNA thread.
  14. 7 hours of programming a week and they can't put something as great as this on TV?
  15. In a world where the Irish Whip and Slingshot are accepted as valid physics, a double kick to the shins to cause a guy to drop to his knees is acceptable. Is it a bit contrived? Sure, but no more so than a dozen other things that happen in wrestling on a weekly basis. The kick to the shins doesn't seem that contrived, but the whole allow your partner to be suplexed into your arms, in the perfect tombstone position, and stand there for a few seconds seems a little contrived. Well, assuming your friend or significant other was picked up and handed to you like that, would you: 1) let them fall to the ground on their head, or 2) grab them and attempt to keep them from falling on their head So why is the answer to hold his own partner in the tombstone position and wait to get his legs kicked out from under him?
  16. Even if this wasn't a laughable statement I can see from your response above that you have different criteria for judging wrestling than I do. Clearly, cool looking flippy shit is more important to you than suspension of disbelief. Have fun with all that. You are correct in that what people say about modern indy wrestling is not similar to what they said about ECW, but I only posted that to continue with Matt's kendo stick theme so we could all move on from your general idiocy - after all, this is the gif thread.
  17. Being a better worker than most of the divas on the roster is a lot like winning a "Best Shit Sandwich" award.
  18. This doesn't negate all of the shitty matches that she consistently has on the main shows.
  19. I saw that terrible gif earlier and actually thought to myself "Oh, surely no one is going to defend THAT one." If that is modern indy wrestling and people that don't like it are trapped in 1985, then I guess I'm making the right decision by not watching modern indy wrestling. 1985 is just fine with me.
  20. Does he? You mentioned he did this to Bryan, but I remember it going down the opposite way.I can't tell if you're being serious or not. Cena no sells pretty much any loss..its been going on for a long time. I'm not sure who is telling him to do it or if he just smiles like an idiot on his own but its terrible. I'm referring specifically to Bryan, who Cena put over huge and as recently as this week's Raw said he beat him fair and square, and you still haven't pointed out a single instance of him saying or doing anything otherwise about it.
