  1. I like when Hall would do the chhh-chhh-chhh-ahh-ahh-ahh along with the spooky fingers. Then you just might like what I'm making.Really random request now. Looking for Hogan/Hall/Nash or any combo of the three, holding a giant over sized check. Anyone got a lead on footage of that? I'm not one to judge, but that's a pretty weird fetish you got going on there. Making a video for botchamania/worldstar. Wanted specific things. Ended up with a little less than ideal, but the girlfriend laughed, so I hope it passes the muster test for both groups enough to publish it. EDIT: Anyone know how to send stuff to maffew? I can't find anything.

  3. July 7, 1997, around the 6:40 mark in video Om my god, thank you so much.
  4. Can someone help me find video of Scott Hall doing the "spooky fingers" directly at the camera on video? I'd love to know if anyone can id when this one happened.
  5. Is there any other thing out there that has an insulting term for its own fans created by the performers? Tricks? Illusions, Michael. I thought tricks was the act of using your sexual skills for money. Johns was the term for "fans" if you will, but I think that term comes form the trying to be anonymous aspect involved in trying to use the skills of a professional working lady.
  6. So I'm a video production guy and I know many on this board have connections to wrestling and MMA promotions so I'm wondering if maybe someone could help me find a little work. One of my skills is editing video. I've shot and edited a few wrestling shows before and right now my schedule is a bit open and I need some work. Anyone on here know a promotion that might have use for my skills to put their show together for web or television? I'm open to any type of wrestling or MMA media really. Wrestling and & MMA samples can be found here. Thanks and keep being awesome DVDVR.
  7. Really? I saw something not to long ago and Bisc seemed kinda drunk and really came off like he couldn't care less at this point because it's all super old news and doesn't mean anything to him anymore. I'm not saying he wasn't lying but it seemed like he wouldn't care enough to give anything but what he saw as the truth because it didn't matter anymore. Like the tone in his voice and style of speaking was "how ridiculous is it I'm still getting paid to talk about this crap."

  9. Jericho. makes Brock tap to the Walls. just to see every single fan lose their mind in rage. I am really not up to date on the current product, can you explain why they would be so full of rage?
  10. Since we're all fantasy booking here....Brock wins the Rumble and then he doesn't have to face anyone. He dares anyone to challenge him. He shows up at Mania and just sits in an empty chair for 15 minutes getting pelted with garbage as the announcers go nuts and Heyman just puts over what a monster this man is. Someone, ANYONE, comes down and wins clean.
  11. Besides the Conner's Cure stuff, is there any successes within the WWE that are directly attributed to Stephanie?
  12. ICP now on Talk is Jericho. This should honestly be interesting given how much these guys have in common.
  13. Ya know, the older I get, the more I realize how little people seem to understand what wrestling does to the body let alone how money works. Make 6 figures getting your body get beat up for 15 minutes risking possible paralysis and death, or have a stunt double take all the beatings while you collect a 7 figure check and residuals. I am confused as to why people think Steve would even consider wrestling. He seems to talk on a lot of his shows about regretting how he wasted his last good year due to the walkout. And in a lot of ways his last match ended up being more about setting Rock up to be fed to Goldberg, as much as it was a perfect cap to their feud. Honestly, Austin practically screams that he wants one more match, but he won't stand being second fiddle to anyone else or having a shitty program if that's going to be the deal. That's why as much as he and Punk angled for a match, it didn't happen. Austin wasn't going to be second to Rock and wasn't going to return for anything less than Mania. Now that Punk's gone, it becomes a whole other thing finding a program worth him returning for. Basically I think he's got the itch to finish things the 'right' way but his ego won't let him settle for less than perfect so it's never going to actually happen. Am I crazy to say I think there is no way in hell he'd get medical clearance?

  15. What did Dave do to piss them off so bad where at one point Vince was calling him for advice and now despite being one of the few media respected journalist about the subject of wrestling.....never mind I just figured out the answer to my own question.
  16. I know Awesome's suicide was terrible, but head injuries probably contributed less than his wife leaving him and his career disappearing.
  17. My favorite "DDP is annoying" story came from Bob Holly's book. Benoit warned Holly that Page liked to script out everything in minutia for all of his matches, no matter how short. Like he'd hand out a script that said, "you take my arm, we circle left, I punch you, you grimace". DDP kept trying to track Holly down to script out the match, which was probably nothing more than some 5 minute throwaway Smackdown or Velocity match, so Holly just made it a point to be anywhere but where DDP was right up until about 10 minutes before the match. DDP was relieved to find him so that he could go over things with him and Holly said, "oh don't worry, we'll call it out there" and left again. That is so pro-wrestling.
  18. Where is this from, and are there any more notes like this from Dusty or anyone else?
  19. I'd assume it has a lot to do with the nature of the business back then. Kayfabe was really strong back in the day and a lot of those people didn't talk about the job as part of the job. Things are different in 2015, but many of the people from that era of wrestling are now gone, so there's even less sources to get stories from.
  20. At what point will Jarrett or whoever realize their money is better spent on pretty much anything else at this point?
  21. Has anyone read the XFL Long Bomb book? I'm not far in, but it seems Vince will be a central chracter to the book.
  22. I think it was Bobby Heenan who talked about in an era of 9-11 wrestling stories generally come off as dumb and weak. I mean I know WWE isn't Breaking Bad or Mad Men, but that's the level of content they are up against. In comparison, the WWE is still lurking in the kids pool. So given all the public lying done by Dixie and cohorts, and as Meltzer said, who in the world would ever want to work for/with/hire these people? It's one thing to fail at a business, it's another thing entirely to successfully manage to shrink your company multiple times over a decade while showing no growth. Seriously, besides being rich, how did Dixie keep that company a float? I mean if Heyman had had her resources ECW would probably still be on air today.
  23. He refunded the money raised through Kickstarter. Oh shit. I did not know that. Good for him. Did he give a reason as to why he never released it? I never heard anything more specific than "footage wasn't usable". From what I remember, the little bit of footage that leaked looked bad even by indy wrestling standards (dark and shaky). I kinda chalked it up to whoever did the actual filming and editing not being up to the task. I wasn't much interested in the promotion, but I would have liked to see how the Joey Ryan thing was presented and went over. The story as it is told to me is they filmed the whole thing on the, at the time, state of the art RED One cameras. If true, that right there probably sank the production. RED cameras are not designed for wrestling style shooting at all - it's a camera for cinema, not sports. The data storage rates for 13 episodes of content, dear god I can't even imagine, and then multiple cameras...we're probably talking multiple terabytes of storage if true.
  24. Tween me had his mind absolutely blown over those Flair Savage photos. College educated media production me says Savage was probably standing five feet to the left drinking a coffee watching Ric closely to see that he doesn't try anything. Given the time period this happened....does anyone know if was actual photos taken or they do some serious photoshoping?
