Raw Is Braun Strowman's Day Off - 4/17/2017
Charlie M. replied to Dolfan in NYC's topic in WWE PROGRAMMING
I said she carried the promo segments, not the matches. She's gotten great heat with a number of her promo segments and carried the heavy load in all of them because Sasha and Bayley just can't deliver any sort of extended dialog. I get that you're not a fan but there were lots of people in these threads who have praised her promo work. She's out there to get heat and she does that. -

None of this is like HHH in that period. Her matches delivered, she carried the promo segments and people cared about her storylines. Every time she had to lose, she worked her ass off and didn't telegraph it with the pouty face like a certain other woman. The beating she took in that Falls Count Anywhere match was wild. It's not her fault the company sees her as someone strong enough to carry the division and all that comes with that role. -

Charlotte jobbed constantly. Probably way too much for her position. -

The Broken stuff was a very smart way for them to cover up how broken their bodies are. It's a bit unfortunate that they now have to take a bunch of bumps and wrestle normal WWE style matches. -

So you can take a crazy bump to sell it! -

Figured some people here would enjoy this. Yoshiaki Fujiwara vs. Shinya Aoki from IGF on April 5, 2017. -

Finally got around to watching the Mania weekend matches. I wasn't really blown away by anything except maybe Lee/Dijak and Hardyz/Bucks. The Team Ospreay vs Team Ricochet match was fun but went on too long. Lots of good stuff, though. That Lashley/Cobb match was nowhere near as bad as I saw people saying at the time. Lashley probably could have sold a bit more for him but it was decent. -
On this week's E&C Podcast, they talked about how Michael Hayes pitched a "House of Horrors" match for the Brood vs Hardyz back in the day. It was going to be shot in a house with all sorts of weird stuff going on. They never ended up doing it but that could be what they're going to do with Wyatt vs. Orton.

The work on 205 Live has been really good lately. It's a shame that it isn't done in front of a hot crowd because I know it's hard for a lot of people to enjoy the matches with the bad crowds. If some of these matches happened in front of an EVOLVE crowd, they'd be getting tons of love.

Have you seen his match with Shelton Benjamin from Puerto Rico that's on Youtube? It's legitimately great and it's mostly because of Primo. Almost wish he would get released and go on a killer run for a few years. -
Jinder's been dieting like crazy, watching New Japan World while getting pumped up and he just got so excited to work that strong style against Finn.
-
Gallagher/Perkins was really good. TJ's submission stuff works much better as a heel in WWE. I like Neville taking him under his wing and making him evil.

Miz's title vs career match with Dolph was epic. One of the most memorable WWE matches of 2016. -

Ziggler vs Nakamura should be interesting because Ziggler wants to go a million miles per hour and Nakamura wants to usually cruise at about 35 for most of the match. -

Lana has apparently been working really hard to be a wrestler. She's always going on about being inspired by the women's wrestlers. Maybe she'll surprise us? She'll probably just be Carmella 2.0, though. -

RUSEV vs. Nakamura is possible! YES! Aside from Tamina, Smackdown really loaded up tonight. Love the look of the new roster way more than RAW. -
Movies aren't made to encourage audience participation. Yet, lots of movies have heroes that you don't root for because of poor writing, directing or acting. There's lots of actors who just aren't good in the hero role for no tangible reason. Their movies wind up flopping and we never see them in those roles again.

I'd love to have Rusev move to Smackdown. Rusev vs. Nakamura could be everything we wanted Joe vs Nakamura to be. -
Hopefully Alexa can talk for both of them and Sasha can work for both of them.
-
I think Smackdown comes out ahead and will feel really fresh by getting rid of Ambrose and Wyatt. Losing Miz really sucks but I think Owens might be able to do some good stuff on Talking Smack.
-
Maybe he can drop a few lbs and make 205 Live?

RAW and Smackdown Live Draft/Superstar Shake-Up Talk.
Charlie M. replied to The Natural's topic in WWE PROGRAMMING
The rumors of Sasha going to Smackdown have me wondering if Becky goes the other way and gets to do the heel turn she's wanted. I won't lie, Becky showing up on RAW and stabbing Bayley in the back would be fucking great.
