  1. Didn't like the backing down from Road Dogg or Bubba Dudley either. Hero's Highspots gimmick with Meltzer and Naylor was very good too.
  2. They're also two guys doing an old school gimmick and yet clearly get bothered that Dave Meltzer doesn't give their matches five stars.
  3. Matt had a brilliant year but Miz is getting booed against Cena because he has a healthy marriage.
  4. Chris Hero was so good that he got rehired. He set out to have one of the best years ever and did it his way. The case against The Revival is that they're a cover band. A great one but still lack much originality. They just cover things we like more than say Dolph Ziggler.
  5. I thought Don Callis had a pretty interesting idea for a business model for Impact or any non-WWE promotion. He would spend the bulk of his talent budget on about 6 main guys to get them as exclusives. The rest of the shows would be filled out by guys on per-show deals. That way you'd constantly cycle in fresh people and keep costs down. You do that for a year or two while you try to rebuild the promotion.
  6. The problem with TNA the last year or so wasn't that the TV show was awful. It was that the promotion itself was in disarray. So now we have some financial stability and they made the TV show awful again. How long before Anthem realizes that Jarrett conned them?
  7. She had an interesting way of covering her opponents. I remember that.
  8. Voted Roman on instinct but I could see the case against him this year. He missed time. His Mania match sucked. And the Rusev matches underdelivered.
  9. Jericho had better matches with Roman than KO did.
  10. The question is will the crowd chant "You Deserve It!" at Nikki when she gets the ring?
  11. Just give me Maryse and Nikki Bella on Talking Smack together once before Mania. Please.
  12. To WWE, they're putting AJ in one of the biggest matches on the show.
  13. Yeah, Neville and Sami were really funny together. Neville's whole "check back in next week for an update" while Sami was checking his fantasy hockey team cracked me up.
  14. I loved the way Orton and Styles worked that match. Orton actually got to play the powerhouse role for a change while Styles chopped him down. Orton sold the leg like a champ throughout the match and they had some really creative spots. The finish was incredible too. Props to whoever came up with that.
  15. I think they're trying to do a bit of a Sting/Luger thing with Bayley and Sasha but neither are good enough actors to pull it off as effectively.
  16. He might burn down your house if you don't give him what he wants.
  17. Keith Lee was awesome this year in those matches against War Machine. I also dug his match with Jeff Cobb. One underrated Ricochet match from this year was the one with Sami Callihan.
  18. Of all the guys WWE should consider bringing back, I feel like Mundo should be #1 on the list. The guy carries himself like such a star. However, this was the year of Riddle.
  19. I think there's a decent argument against The Revival so I'm interested to see if it's the same one.
  20. He does get paid pretty well considering he barely ever has to work.
  21. They did a lot of their best work together but I found myself being more impressed by Charlotte's performances and ability. Her ceiling is pretty high and she came into her own this year. Maybe things would be different if the roles were reversed but they weren't so I gotta go with Charlotte.
  22. Cena wasn't around much but when he was, he delivered big time in the ring and on the mic.
  23. I didn't feel like he was crazy stiff with Hero or ZSJ in Rev Pro, though. He really lays it in with people who are open to it. Plus Joe has two serious injuries on his WWE record already.
  24. Shibata had the better year by a mile. More variety, more quality, and he's better at the one thing Joe is supposed to be good at and that's portraying a bad ass.
  25. I wasn't thrilled about the Orton/Wyatt stuff when it started because I thought it would cool off Orton. Yet Orton managed to elevate Wyatt and make him actually feel like the threat that he claims to be in promos. Elgin had some good matches but put me in the camp that doesn't really care about him and probably never will.
