  1. Gastelum looked amazing tonight. Best performance from him that I've seen. So fluid and technical. Only complaint was that he continued to get caught on the exit by Hendricks' looping counter left hook. He should've adjusted his angle on the way out. Weird prelim main event, with Cat dominating the grappling in the first, looking dominant in that aspect, then proceeded to lose the next two rounds decisively via graps. I hope she can bounce back with a win. Her decision making is a little erratic but she's entertaining and fights with such gusto.
  2. Eddie was considered one of the top lightweights in the world before joining the UFC. It's been a bit of a rocky ride in the UFC but I don't think it's nearly as big of an upset as Bisping making Rockhold look like a 70-year-old lush laying on the corner.
  3. Holy fuck, that was a tremendous round! Don't know how RDA didn't go down and out with some of those shots. There were some serious chins on display tonight.
  4. I'm happy to live in a world where significant strikes outweigh takedowns. Right call.
  5. Man, I hadn't logged on to Fight Pass in ages through a browser but they did an incredible job improving the interface. So much slicker, easier to find stuff, and way easier on the eyes. Good shit.
  6. For a couple of days, sure.
  7. I wonder how much the Cerrone ass whooping and RDA being called out as a TV champion (and is now defending his belt on an internet show) will play into his approach. I think he'll come out aggressively. Should be great. Hyped for all three nights of fights.
  8. God damn thieves. I'm a little surprised to see Nunes go into the title fight as the underdog. Her attack is much crisper than Tate's, but I suppose I was saying the same thing going into the Holm fight. Again, Tate's up against a superior athlete with more technique. But, Valentina Shevchenko was able to get Nunes down in round 3, so that's a thing Nunes will have to be wary against. Intriguing fight. Probably the most intriguing fight on the main card, as I feel like the other fights all have a distinct favourite.
  9. That's the main thing that disappoints me with the move. The league was so nicely balanced (relatively speaking) the past few years with a handful of really good teams out in the west plus the dreaded Spurs and Warriors. Now it's pretty much just the Warriors barring injuries. Hopefully, the next generation of superstars progresses fast, so they can bring some balance back to the force/league. I'll definitely be keeping an eye on the bigger GSW games but I'll be trying to watch more of the Bucks. Unless they sign Wade then I'll have to hope Giannis leaves and I can cheer him on a team without Dwyane Wade.
  10. So, it'll either be the Philippines or New Zealand in the semi-final and almost assuredly France in the final. France it is, then.
  11. "T... Time to leave..." Amazing match. My head started to hurt from all the cuts but amazing match.
  12. Another thing! I'm happy this is going down in Oakland and not one of the traditional big market teams. That fan base has endured way too much shit over the years. His ineptitude goes way beyond the Perkins/Harden fiasco but that choice should never have been forced upon him to begin with. Trading for Perkins basically ensured he was going to be fucked in terms of salary shortly down the road. It was a bad acquisition which then pushed him towards an even worse, all-time bad trade. ... ONE MORE THING! I hope Russ leaves Oklahoma next year and the team is relocated to Seattle.
  13. Seriously, Sam Presti's role in all of this needs to be put under a microscope. A competent GM has that team winning at least one title in the past 5 years. That man is a joke. Zaza signs with GSW for $2.9 million. Great sneaky little deal for them and they can continue to throw out all sorts of line-ups that will do the most damage against any opposition.
  14. I'm excited to see KD in a system that's based on movement without the ball. He should have much higher percentage looks than in OKC. For real though, Westbrook in the meetings against GSW should be analyzed by scientists and we should have holidays so everybody can take in the phenomenal effort and physical feats he's going to put forth. It's going to be the best.
  15. Wow. With Tim retiring, Pau signs with San Antonio. Bogut to Dallas is all but official. Everything is happening.
  16. Works best in the OC/Dear Sister parody.
  17. People in the organization and the fans? Pierce, Allen and Garnett couldn't get it done individually, teamed up and won a championship. Clearly a bitch move. If they wanted to be men, KG and Jesus should've vetoed their trades. Shoot, KG did that earlier that summer but eventually acquiesced.
  18. The Raptors are the team he should really join. He could bail them out with his shooting and they desperately need to upgrade at the PF position. Sounds like Timmy is going to retire.
