  1. Maybe the Usos beat the snot out of Ziegler for mocking Naomi. maybe Dolph ends up in a tag team. And the Usos just keep beating the snot out of him. Dolph sucked so much the show ran out of time for a Fashion Files episode. So wrong.
  2. Duane Brown still holding out. Right now the Texans OL is Kendall Lamm, Xavier Sua-Filo, Nick Martin, Jeff Allen and Breno Giacamini. Yikes. Undrafted guy who's only played in games as a blocking tight end, bust 2nd round guy, 2nd year "rookie" who was injured in preseason last year, bust free agent pick up last year, and a cast off from the Jets. And Tom Savage at QB, who I don't think has ever started and finished a game more than once, and famously got injured trying to hand off to the RB by turning the wrong way. And our wide receivers are DeAndre Hopkins, Braxton Miller, Bruce Ellington and ... I don't know. Will Fuller and Jaelin Strong are out (injured / suspended). Probably a problem since BOB loves those 4 WR formations. All of the running backs are injured except for Lamar Miller who sucks. I'm guessing Savage goes out on his shield early, and we get the Deshaun Watson show way earlier than anyone expected. I know its the Jags, and the City of Houston is counting on the Texans winning to boost the morale of the city, but what are the Texans best at? Disappointing their fans.
  3. Dude that sucks. I can't believe how lucky we've been. Let me know if there's anything I can do.
  4. There's a new tropical depression in the gulf over by Brownsville and Mexico and Irma still hasn't turned north. They're predicting thunderstorms for Monday and Tuesday next week. God Hates Us All.
  5. Back to normal. Here's a five day radar of Harvey: And here's a good summation of the Houston spirit:
  6. Floating fire ant balls are real. Can confirm. fortunately pretty far from gator park, but there have been some gator incidents, as well as stingrays, crawfish, and other large fish encounters on my Facebook stream.
  7. Day 5, bitches. It stopped raining for now. Still on an island -- flooded in on all directions. All rivers and creeks are expected to crest today. But we're still here.
  8. 1. Eye of the hurricane wasn't going to directly hit us. 2. Last time Houston was ordered to evacuate during Rita), it resulted in gridlock traffic with 100 people dying in their cars. There's too many damn people in Houston and too few ways to leave. all the surrounding counties got hit and don't have the manpower and infrastructure to rescue people. 3. Harvey was unprecedented in the amount of rain it dropped. We took a direct hit from Ike and it rained less. We've taken a year's worth of precipitation in two days. 4. we live on the far west side of town. We prepared. We have had power, water, internet with no interruptions. 5. And I was kinda disappointed in Okada v. Omega III. I guess they were building off Okada's neck injury from the Evil and Suzuki matches, but I thought it felt flat. Far worse than the other two. I thought Tanahasi v. Naito was better. I thought Naito v. Ibushi was better. I thought Tanahashi v. Zack Sabre Jr. was better. I thought Omega v. Elgin was better. I never thought I'd write those last two sentences.
  9. Update: Here is the park by the elementary school in my neighborhood yesterday: And here's the same park (same statute) today: I think we're gonna make it.
  10. Yeah it's still raining. It's been steady and constant. Hopefully we'll get another reprieve but it's getting a little scary again.
  11. Another shot of the Criminal Justice Center: Those are steps that go up to the courthouse. Downtown Houston is underwater.
  12. It looks like we're gonna be ok in my neighborhood. Only the usual spots got flooded, and our house is ok. We never lost power, and I've been watching some G1 Climax 27 to pass the time. Here's a photo from my neighborhood: My exit to downtown Houston And here's the criminal courthouse steps: Can't leave my home, can't go to work. Oh well, more G1.
  13. Prediction: McGregor quits on the stool in the 6th or so. Knows he's getting thrashed and refuses to go back in. Nuthuggers will talk about how smart he is to avoid any further injury, and Mayweather really didn't beat him because all he did was run away from him because he was so scared of Conor's power.
  14. And that's the problem, isn't it? Cart before the horse. This guy should be a big deal. But because he has to prove himself, he's not treated like a big deal. Then, people don't think he's a big deal. So why should we treat him like a big deal? It's a circular argument for 50/50 booking that does nothing for no one. If he was treated like a big deal like they seemed to want him to be, he shouldn't be wrestling the Baron Corbins and Dolph Zigglers, he should be wrestling the Randy Ortons and John Cenas and be treated as if he's on their level and beating them so that we all consider him a big deal. If he was treated like Brock from the get go we wouldn't have this conundrum. Let him wrestle on house shows, but don't make him wrestle on Smackdown every week and don't put him in pointless tag matches or wrestle the same people over and over. Make him a special event.
  15. I mean wrestle once a month until Wrestlemania, then lose to AJ Styles. Or whomever. Shinsuke should be Brock for Smackdown. or he's just another guy. like he is right now.
  16. Holy crap I think this means Brock v Jones actually will happen just in a WWE ring and not an octogon. Wow.
