came upon this awesome cover of In the Meantime by Pig Destroyer: And it made me go back to listen to Meantime by Helmet in its entirety. What a fucking blast. Of course, other than this album I've never really liked Helmet (especially the new new stuff). True lightning in a bottle (aside from "Milktoast" from the Crow soundtrack -- which is so much better than "Milquetoast" which was on Betty.). I don't remember what we considered this album back in 1992 -- was post-hardcore a thing then? Feels like it's a post-hardcore classic, but I don't even with these labels these days. I remember losing my shit back to back with this and Quicksand's Slip and Manic Compression. I need to make a new playlist of that particular sound. Who did I miss? Bonus:

I think it's absolutely a wilder upset than Serra / GSP, Holm / Rouseey et al because anybody can get knocked out at any time. That's the nature of the sport. Anyone can get caught. What Strickland did was just walk Adesanya down and force him to play his game. It looked like Izzy just did not prepare AT ALL. Strickland made him look BAD and essentially dominated the entire fight by almost doing nothing but walking forward. It was incredible. Hope we don't do an immediate rematch. I'd rather see Strickland v. DDP or Hamzat

There was always that dude in the friends group that was "Likes to Fight Guy." No one was really friend friends with him, but he always hung around. Lose at pickup basketball? Wants to fight. Guy awkwardly bumps into him? Wants to fight. Girl rejected him? Fucking whore. Really get sick of him until some other guy starts shit with you and he shows up behind you without a shirt on. Ideally he's a little more jacked / skilled than Punk, but yeah.

Ok I’m caught up and after being a big fan of Rebels I thought I’d have more attachment to these characters but I don’t? And that’s ok! They’re their own thing! In this thing there’s been some realizations I’ve had that explain everything: Ahsoka - she’s seriously stoned in every scene. She high. Walks around saying pseudo intellectual shit, doesn’t hardly react to anything or anyone ever, sure she can fight when she has to but does she really have to? Baylon or whatever - grandpa sith. He’s not evil per se, but he’s gotta do his duty, you dumb millennials don’t even understand. Shin - MURDER HOBO.

Obviously I’m not a Florida lawyer but from what I’ve been able to gather without reading any pleadings, we have this one bitch complaining about some car driving around passing people.
