  1. One thing that isn’t clear (in a good way) is what world title match they are building for at the PPV. Hangman and Omega in the finals match, Cody has a title, doubt they run Lee, Archer, Kingston or Cage again, Jericho is likely busy with MJF.... I guess pending how next week goes an Archer rematch could be in the cards, but this is almost ripe for some kind of one-off freelancer/outsider/cross-promotional kind of thing.
  2. What a show, with something for everyone. God Hobbs/Cage and the aftermath was great.
  3. In another era Striker is a really good manager around the territories I think. Small guy but built well, can take bumps, can talk a little with an air of arrogance. I thought he was pretty good with Big Daddy V in that role.
  4. I think we all liked the match (or wanted to like the match) at the time because (1) it had a decisive heel victory finish, which is always so rare in WWE and (2) Jericho was in his God mode best wrestler on earth phase, albeit on the tail end of it. It’s pretty mediocre, though.
  5. There’s X-Pac Heat. There’s Jeff Jarrett heat. And now there’s Velveteen Dream heat. Seriously just get off my TV and go fuck off, Dream.
  6. That show WAY over delivered. Kudos all the way around. I was expecting a bottom tier Takeover given the lukewarm build and they went and put on a solid middle to upper third event. That was the best Takeover main event in three years and a MOTYC. What a joy to be away from the Cole/Gargano/Ciampa formula. Great show tonight!
  7. Agree Young Bucks are terrible right now. No one buys them as anti-authority bad asses and it honestly reeks of money mark with the book trying to book themselves as killers. Hangman is basically early season 2 of Succession Kendall Roy right now. I didn’t particularly care that that dragged on for 10 episodes either, but when the sad panda part was over...woo boy.
  8. Jake Hager has a motor that never stops, brings his lunch pail to work every day, is a real gym rat, like a coach on the field and is more athletic than you think
  9. Love Starks. Only other suggestion I’d have is he needs to tone down his rehearsed ring entrance body movement shtick. Way too WWE-like. Just walk and be a cocky asshole.
  10. I was thinking it’d lead to MJF/Sammy somehow as neither guy is doing anything, it’d be good, and Jericho is doing his tag deal
  11. A seamless transition from Darby/Starks this week to a Cage/Hobbs hoss battle next week. God I love this company.
  12. Just caught up on Dark and want to echo the praise for Taz. Dude has been fantastic and hilarious while being very natural and unforced and putting over everything
  13. Boxing Big Show was good. In the time between WM24 and WM26 we got an in shape Big Show with the Mayweather match, Jerishow, Show-Miz and probably the best, criminally underrated WWE Big Show match ever at No Mercy 2008 against Taker. Like outside of wrestling Meng in 1996 I think it’s the best run of his career.
  14. I’m thinkin that might be my MOTY in the clubhouse right now. Really hard to compare it to something like Bucks/Page+Hangman, but fuck that was good.
  15. See I gotta disagree on Dijak. He thinks he has a strong Twitter game, but he in fact does not have strong Twitter game. Dude is trying too hard. Now to be fair he’s been given absolute chicken shit to try and get over, so it ain’t his fault.
  16. It’s early and I know there’s a lot of bad football out there, but the NYG are just another level and appear to be taking #tankfortrevor highly seriously
  17. “Hulk Hogan you can go to hell. For Dusty Rhodes, Bobby Heenan, Gene Okerland, I’m..I’m Tony Schiavone....I don’t know. We’re out of here. Straight to hell.” Also in that segment, Heenan’s gradual transition from “I told you so” to an exacerbated “what do we do now” by the end is tremendous
  18. WWE gets a lot of shit and rightfully so but Roman is untouchable right now. That closing bit was probably the best WWE segment all year.
  19. Lee’s promo was amazing, maybe the best of his career, and old school as shit. Like he marched straight over to Boyd Pierce and Cowboy and grabbed the mic after Cody came after him at Irish McNeil’s
  20. Well that opener was probably the worst men’s match in the history of the company, while the main event was one of the best and that closing segment was hot fire. That Hobbs spinebuster on Fenix! Ricky Starks Darby Allin main event next week hype! Holds put on during the entirety of the main event count: 1 each
  21. As someone in the crowd for this show, there was nooooo coming back after this match was over. Every single one of us was spent. Dolfan you might need to find some inspiration because if you are hoping for the crowd to give you some juice you're about to enter a morgue.
  22. RIP Animal. I can’t believe he was only 60. I had no idea he was so young when the Roadies were in their prime.
