  1. Finishing up The Jinx today. I've unfortunately been spoiled on the ending, but the way they set it up at the end of Episode 4 was brilliant. I'm trying to figure out how much of a fight it took for them to get this on air with Durst's lawyer being RIGHT there watching this all happen.
  2. Next year will be interesting with OKC and most likely New Orleans coaching jobs up for grabs.
  3. Just because it's more ridiculous every time I tell people: Warriors over the 4th quarter and OT: +24 Warriors over the last 11 minutes: +21 Warriors over the final six minutes of regulation: +17!!!!!!!!! That's just...it's ungodly.
  4. IF YOU SWING AT THE KING, YOU BEST NOT MISS.
  5. Dutch is the only guy I've ever seen have his beard start on his face and end up down the back of his legs. ZZ Top would be jealous.
  6. Yo.
  7. Yeah, you've tempted the fantasy booking gods in my head, now.
  8. Warriors are just too deep. Bench play in the second brought them back, then played 50-50 ball until they found times to pull away. Once that happened, Pelicans had no shot. EVERYTHING has to go wrong with the Warriors for them to lose, it seems. That's not gonna happen often.
  9. They've cut Corbin down a bit because he hasn't developed like they had hoped and Bliss doesn't really have anything that connects with the crowd outside of her being cute and petite and sparkly. It's a weird dynamic. The whole place is in flux right now with the new influx of talent that's on the way in the next few weeks and supposedly in the months to come, too.
  10. Considering my original pick fell outside the timeframe (by about 40 years) I decided to go with these guys because as caley said, they're a divisive band. The one thing I do enjoy about FI is that they seem like a band that rises above the electro-pop bullshit that has oversaturated the music market in the last few years. A lot of bands go the house or electronic route just because it's what's en vogue. Meanwhile, these guys were touring for years cultivating a sound that's totally unique even within the current music landscape before they got famous. They almost feel like The Smiths crossed with Bowie in the sense that Samuel T. Herring has a completely magnetic personality as a frontman that's very Morrissey-like, yet the music harkens back to when Bowie going to the synthesizers was at its best. They also have a totally awesome instrument setup, with Herring only doing lyrics and vocals, Gerrit Welmers on the keyboard doing all the electronic stuff, and then William Cashion doing all the bass/guitar stuff. You'll get some awesome combinations from them on some songs where you barely get any guitar at all and the synth and bass are the only thing behind Herring's vocals, and then you'll get these intricately layered tracks at the same time. It's not done just to be minimalist or to be robust, either. They've figured out the best ways to combine the instruments even if the combinations look weird on paper. When "Seasons" got released and they did the now famous Letterman performance, I was as high on them as I was any band that had come out in probably five or ten years. Unfortunately, I didn't listen to them as much as I should have because I had a falling out with the person who introduced them to me, and every time I heard anything from the band I turned it off because they reminded me of her. Which sucked because they were a band I enjoyed even before she fucked me over. A year's passed (and better women have entered my life), so I feel inclined to go back and listen to this again, which I passed through once or twice, enjoyed, but then moved away from because of what happened. They feel important to me.
  11. First time I saw that I popped so hard. That might be my favorite Arn spinebuster ever.
  12. We don't need more Chuck Taylors in wrestling.
  13. I'm down. I have long car drives and Spotify so this will be awesome.
  14. Yeah, people forget how great the Clippers have been offensively this year. Plus, Kawhi will have to stick on Chris Paul, which even for him is going to be a tough guard. I think it's going 6 or 7. Warriors should beat the Pelicans in five. Houston in 5 or 6. Memphis should beat Portland in 5 or 6. Atlanta should sweep Brooklyn, the Celts/Cavs series will go 6. Milwaukee could give Chicago issues, too. Thinking that goes 6. Toronto and Washington will go a series too long.
  15. Supposedly featuring Samoa Joe. But the Briscoes are staying with ROH. Sad face. Dana looked rough, and a lot of that has to do with the fact that she was way too showy. One of the things that made me think it's only a phase is that there's been plenty of people to come through NXT that had a lot up front, but then they scaled it back and were fine. I think she has the chance to do that. The H50 was a nice finish, too. Right now, it's like there's a bunch of cool puzzle pieces on the board, but it's a big puzzle to be put together. Soon enough. Rhyno looked really good. He always had some good spots and knew how to work a bit, and I wonder how long he'll be active before becoming a trainer, which it looks like he'll become soon. They need to figure out something with Corbin. Don't get what the hell is going on Riley at this point, either. He can't go over Owens unless they throw out some non-title situation where Zayn interference gets him a pyrrhic victory. Show has been a bit muddle of late, but that should shore up with the new tapings, though, especially if new talent gets introduced. Like Samoa Joe.
  16. Happy birthday, DEAN! You are old. But not as old as other old folks.
  17. God, have you guys actually watched the Young Bucks lately?
  18. Itami wrestled in front of what is believed to be a legit 62,000 at Destiny 2005 for NOAH, when he defeated Kanemaru to become the new junior ace. There's been 12 WrestleManias with an attendance greater than that, including the last nine. I don't think Graves is excellent so much as that he's really putting all he can into it knowing it's his best shot to stay in the business. He's a guy with a strong work ethic. I'd much rather a guy work harder to get better and have it show. That makes him marginally better than a lot of the other guys, and it might become his calling card. Now Byron Saxton on the other hand...
  19. Best entrance music on the indies and it's not really close.
  20. Yeah, why couldn't Rippa had the stakes ready for today?
  21. Yeah, NXT has had issues with those types of matches unless they're outright squashes. I don't think that was necessarily Riley's fault. I just hope that him and Owens actually have it out in a brawl instead of a straight-up match, but I don't know if NXT would go that route.
  22. If I remember right, Marilyn danced during one of the WK shows, I want to say the 2014 show.
  23. Has anyone ever Estrada/skin the cat/headscissored before? Because that shit is awesome.
