  1. ...because fans like them and will respond to them appropriately? Particularly in Ambrose’s case. He’s never not been over, and always in the manner in which he was supposed to be. Live crowds seem to respond to Rollins, but he retains tv viewers like “tough crowd.” Reigns, Strowman, and now apparently Balor are out. Lashley is a sucking vortex of charisma. I think Ambrose/McIntyre is the way to go. But, my opinion is just an opinion. It just seems smart to me to build around the guy that gets the response he’s supposed to consistently.
  2. I never understand why Ambrose took so much of the heat for that. Austin was pushing him a certain way, Dean didn’t want to go that way, and Austin kept persisting. Dean strikes me as a laid back guy. Why would they put him in the position where if he’s rude to a Wwe legend on live tv, he takes heat for that, but if he’s “boring,” he takes heat for that, too. It’s like sticking him in that impossible situation with Lesnar. When it was clear Lesnar didn’t want to work with Dean in a street fight situation, someone in management should have either intervened on Dean’s behalf or they should have gone a different way for Lesnar’s opponent. Sorry. Tangent. The point is that I still think Ambrose is the most relatable performer on the roster. When he was on top of the b group house shows, they did good business. Getting stuck w a dead program W Ziggler on Smackdown didn’t help. Who else is there on Raw right now? Based on last nights rating, it isn’t Rollins. Balor? That ship has apparently sailed. McIntyre is fantastic, but he needs a decent foil. Raws problem is that it has a million bodies and zero stars, at the moment. Thank you for coming to my TED talk.
  3. That’s an interesting thought regarding Ambrose. Dude has a good life compared to where he was pre-WWE. Right now, being a top guy on raw seems to be a bit cursed. He may not be the type that’s internally motivated that way. That point about Rollins is spot on.
  4. I’m quite certain this is just a roadblock for AOP. They will steamroll Gable & Roode shortly. as for the Revival; I guess I’m in the minority, but I don’t see it. Too short guys talking about pure tag team wrestling doesn’t do it for me. I get why Vince doesn’t see anything in them. And if we’re entering the epoch of “Seth Rollins: face of the company,” i might be done. Good worker, zero personality. Woof. They’ve got Ambrose right there, who, for his flaws, is immensely more likeable and head and shoulders a better promo than Rollins. I’ll never understand their hesitance with him.
  5. A bit late to the party, but I LOVED Bohemian Rhapsody. I know they played a bit fast and loose with the timeline, but I found Remi Malek mesmerizing as Freddie, and the guys they casted to play Queen all did yeoman's work around Malek, as I imagine May, Taylor, and Deacon were doing around Mercury during the band's heyday. Also, the unmitigated balls it took to cast Mike Myers as essentially the world's greatest inside joke of all time was fantastic. Also, the first time John Deacon appeared on screen, I accidentally said out loud "Big Tim, the human piece of toast." I regret nothing. The ending 20 minutes at LiveAid were goosebump inducing. Great film. Not perfect, but the casting was really great and I thought it was shot and edited well, too. And of course, the soundtrack was bonkers.
  6. I personally don't disagree with you on any of those points. I'm just trying to figure out what WWE is thinking. Well, I kinda disagree on one point. She's not untalented. There's a role she's capable of filling. I laugh my ass off when she kicks yaks in the face. That makes me laugh. Other than that, I'm at a loss. And having her as a focal point is a huge mistake.
  7. I didn't say it was a good idea. I guess they figure at her age, it's time to fish or cut bait with her.
  8. I thought they made them look fairly strong. Nia and Tamina are clearly the top female heels on Raw now, but they only won bc they cheated. Thought Sasha and Bayley brought their working boots, actually. If you meant visually, then yeah. I could see that.
  9. I agree that the match was much better, and I don’t want to take away from Charlotte. She was fantastic. I do think part of the reason Charlotte got cheered like that is because she’s Becky’s proxy. I’m worried that they’ll go away from Becky/Ronda, though they could do that at the Rumble. Non title, if they’re both still the champs.
  10. Idk. The Charlotte thing kinda reminds me of when they thought the “yes chant” was over, not Daniel Bryan. People like violence. Becky’s gonna keep getting the better reaction. If they have to run Charlotte/Ronda, Becky/Nia is a decent consolation prize, but the $ is Becky/Ronda
  11. I still don’t understand why I’m supposed to believe Kyle O’Reilly and Bobby Fish can go anywhere close to toe to toe with the War Raiders. I guess I’m just not a fan of anyone in Undisputed Era. Just comes off really pretentious to me. Fun match, though.
  12. I think she should say exactly that last part to Charlotte before the match.
  13. A lot of folks are saying Alexa’s concussion issues started w Nia, too...
  14. I wonder if they’d do a thing where team raw takes out another member of the women’s team, and when Naomi, Asuka and Sonya are standing in the ring, Sasha and Bayley come out and join team smackdown. Might be good to get all the horsewomen on one show if they’re going that route for mania...
  15. Word. I have no idea why Sasha and Bayley are crapped on to the degree they are. Both are really, really good. Great when properly motivated.
  16. I think a story where Sasha and Bayley have to prove to the other two that they’re worthy could be really good. Or a thing where it’s implied that all four of them need the other three to be at their best. After Monday, my theory is that Bayley and Sasha are on the way to Smackdown, maybe after screwing over team Raw on Sunday.
  17. I hope this makes WWE examine their call up policy. They put undertrained gymnast Alexa Bliss (not a shot, I’m a big fan and think she could be really great if properly trained) against undertrained UFC fighter Ronda Rousey And now Alexa is out indefinitely with multiple concussions. Undertrained Nia Jax potatoes Becky Lynch And now the hottest act in the company is sidelined. They gotta do better by these girls...
  18. I could see them saying both women were injured and can’t compete. Push it back a month. The crowd is going to shit on anyone who isn’t Becky on the Smackdown side, except maybe if Asuka were to accept an open challenge.
  19. Also, can we talk about “that” promo? Ronda came off pretty horrible, I thought. I wonder if wwe is just preparing for rousey to get booed out of the building Sunday.
  20. You could also tell the story where Becky goads Ronda into making mistakes and Becky takes advantage to win. Sasha and Bayley have to be going to smackdown now. Ambrose burning the vest was a cool visual. He comes off so much better than Seth doing promos. I liked the thing where Renee basically said “don’t fucking ask me, because I don’t know.” Although it’d be kind of cool if Renee turned heel, too.
  21. Hell, market a block of Wwe children’s tv on the network. Make her the center. Old “rock n wrestling” episode, maybe her own show where she interacts w puppets and old wrestlers. Teach kids positive lessons. Would be huge.
  22. Right, because ignoring your fan base seems to lead to such compelling television. People wanted to love and get behind Bayley when she came up. They still would if given reason to. She's a good worker who seems to be able to work with a variety of women, AND she could be marketed to children in a unique way that a lot of stars simply can't be.
  23. IDK, man. I like Bayley more than most here I guess, but go back and watch her debut at Battleground 2016. She got the biggest reaction of the night. Fans in England hijacked the show to sing to her. She could've been a STAR.
  24. I think this conversation can sometimes lead to a larger conversation regarding HHH and his political currency in WWE. I'm always fascinated by the nxt acts that seem to remain protected on the main roster and which ones flounder. For example, We know Hunter loves Bayley and Sasha, but they don't seem to be in the same "Safe zone" that Charlotte, Alexa, and now Becky seem to be in. I'd be interested in a look backstage at those conversations.
