Surprised this never happened in Chikara. Edit: Oh, goddammit, now I'm sad this never happened. Quack runs a couple shows with a CP Munk-type mascot character, Terry Dunk. It's like some animal in basketball shorts, but he has Funk's striped tights under the shorts and wears a bandana like Terry or something, and a "Dunk-U" t-shirt. After a couple months, the real Funk jumps the mascot and brutally beats the shit out of it. Then, we get a promo where he's pissed that Quackenbush is making fun of him. "Am I a joke to you, Mike Quack-en-bush?!?!?" Just imagining Terry saying "Quackenbush" all drawn out and dripping with disdain has me laughing. Funk totally could've pulled that off. -
My wife casually drops a "Oh, I could've gotten us suite tickets for the ND/Louisville game this weekend." today. Instead, we're visiting her family. Free suite tickets, no less. Dammit.

The ref tells the wrestlers when they are in a commercial/PIP/etc. -

Agree with all of that, and I still blame "Showstopper" Shawn Michaels for that shit. -

A bunch of people at my work are planning a group costume as a bunch of 80s/90s wrestlers. I know we've got a Hogan and a Stone Cold, can't remember who else. -

When you enter into that discourse, there are no winners. -

They did kick-start the Jay White/MJF stuff after Cole's injury. So, hopefully that means they're going forward with that. -
I've never understood people wanting a show/movie based on on a book or whatever to be the exact same thing as the source. Now, I would definitely not like it to move away from the spirit of the source material or completely miss the tone of it. I think sometimes an adaptation can benefit from deviating from the source (The Infinity saga in the MCU is a good example, IMO), but I just don't see a benefit to making an exact replica of another thing.

But, with his clothes on, it must be said.

I love this list because this is what I wanted to see out of Daneilson once he was out of WWE, just taking on wrestlers from all over the world.

I agree. I think this has potential to be a really solid match-up. -

For real, seeing what people who are watching later and seeing what they fast-forward through would actually be a pretty good metric as to what is over and what's not. I'm sorry, I do totally buy that you do that. -

I always love the idea that viewers are all sitting there with their remotes in-hand, switching the channel the second something they don't like is on and then somehow switching back at exactly the moment the thing they dont' like is gone.- 190 replies

As someone who's pretty checked-out on SW right now, I would recommend Rebels for sure, and probably cherry-picking the best stuff from Clone Wars. Rebels was a fun show that carved out it's own corner of the SW universe, which is nice. One of my major issues with the current crop of Filoni stuff is it's just too "hey, it's that character from the cartoon, but live!" for my liking without any real substance to the story. Rebels mostly avoids that by having it's own cast of fresh characters. There was a recent season of Clone Wars, sort of an epilogue, a couple years ago that I remember digging.

Have you seen what Swifties do to the ticket sales of her events? If she plays halftime, we'll have a stadium 3/4 full of people only there to see her. Actually, that would be kind of fascinating. Do they stay for the second half?

I really dig some of the voice work he did. Love him as the voice of Bean in Mr. Fox.

Ha! I always wondered where all those clips in the Beastie Boys' "Body Movin'" video came from.

I thought it was going to say the thieves posed as FBI agents.

It's something, for sure. Last soccer season, we had to have a talk because he was doing the Claudio neck-crank taunt and throat slashes at the other team. The kid really is made to be a pro wrestler. That scares me.

My son did this dance in his last soccer game.

I saw a pic of Kobashi collecting tickets on the train. Made me think of the scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade on the blimp. Kobashi chops a passenger out of the train window. "No ticket." -
Was there even a raid? This is all very confusing.

Had no idea Benjamin and Emma were back with E. Really thought Ziggler was a lifer. Also really hope he doesn't end up in AEW.
