It's something, for sure. Last soccer season, we had to have a talk because he was doing the Claudio neck-crank taunt and throat slashes at the other team. The kid really is made to be a pro wrestler. That scares me.

My son did this dance in his last soccer game.

I saw a pic of Kobashi collecting tickets on the train. Made me think of the scene from Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade on the blimp. Kobashi chops a passenger out of the train window. "No ticket." -
Was there even a raid? This is all very confusing.

Had no idea Benjamin and Emma were back with E. Really thought Ziggler was a lifer. Also really hope he doesn't end up in AEW.

I'd really like to see a Dark Order win, but I feel like it's too soon after the debut of the scissor belts for Acclaimed to lost them. Wouldn't mind the match setting off a feud between DO and Acclaimed, though. -

I'm usually not a "if this person doesn't win, I'm gonna be so pissed!" kind of person, but man, I really don't want to see Eddie lose tonight. -
(Squints suspiciously at Elsalvajeloco) Sounds like something someone who's actually Jeff Jarrett would say...

If you threw a dropkick, holy shit! You were a high-flyer! -
Is it supposed to go more than one season or is it a limited series thing? Also enjoying it a lot!

I haven't really looked into the differences, but why is everyone so mad at Barrymore, Maher (well, other than the million other reasons), etc. when Conan O'Brien started his show up during the '07 strike and was generally praised for getting his crew a payday?

Radrick currently holds my personal second-place ranking for "wrestlers who have a horrible look, but are really quite amazing". First place is, of course, Daniel Makabe.

I may be misremembering, but wasn't she at the PC for a while and hated it?

Starks/Bill is a combo that is not really all that obvious, but damn does it work. I hope they keep them together for a while. Pretty cool that Samoa Joe will be headlining Grand Slam. I think if he didn't have that time in TNA with the face dick and all, he might get more talk as an all-time great. Really, he should despite that time. He's been consistently great for pretty much a 20-year stretch. -

I've always just gone with calling them records. I've never got the "vinyl" thing. We don't call CDs, "plastic". "Oh, I've got that one on plastic!" Even when CDs were my main physical media, I'd say a band had a new record out. -

Yeah, I think I made it like two minutes into hearing Shoemaker talk about wrestling and gave up. There's some other writer at The Ringer they have doing wrestling stuff, and he was on some podcast I was listening to. When introducing him, the host threw out the question of what his dream wrestling match would be. Anyone, from any era, matching up. He said Shawn Michaels vs. AJ Styles and I was like Spongebob in the meme, I'm out. Other than Schneider, obviously, it seems most of their wrestling people have watched WWE, and only WWE, and have no frame of reference for any other type of wrestling. -

The one talent that Simmons has is hiring really good writers. I mean, he put Phil Schneider on his payroll! He's a good curator, but I could do without his actual insight/opinions. -

Simmons really is the ultimate example of the prototypical over-confident white male who will talk authoritatively on any subject no matter how little he really knows about it. -
The only ones I’ve seen him smiling in are with RVD and Scott Steiner.

I've been sucked into record collecting. I use Spotify to sample, listen in the car, at work, etc. If something really grabs me, I'll buy the record. My collections is sitting at 1,206 releases right now (LPs, box sets, singles, 10" records, double LPs, all count as a "release"). I've listened to every record I own at least once. I don't keep anything sealed or buy multiple versions of the same release. I'm in it for the music, maaaaan. Luckily, my wife not only tolerates it, but encourages it. Both of my kids have started their own collections, too. My daughter's is mainly Taylor Swift. She does not adhere to my rule of not owning multiple versions of a record. My son just mainly wants Kiss records. I buy a mix of new and used stuff. I'd say my new stuff leans heavily into indie rock. With used stuff, I like to go down rabbit holes, especially when it's something I can get affordably. Like, a few years ago, I was on the lookout for any Mike Nesmith solo albums (or with the First National Band) that I could find. Right now, I'm all about Willie Nelson's 70s/80s output. The only single record I've ever spent $100 on was a used copy of The Blue Nile's "Hats". Of course, like a month after I ordered it, one of my local stores had it for like $60. I try to keep my stuff pretty organized. I have the majority of my collection in a 5x5 Ikea square shelving thing in our guest bedroom/office. Down in our tv room, where my record player is, I have this three-tier little vintage-looking display rack where I keep my current listening. We have a smaller record player in the living room where my wife/daughter do most of their listening, so there's always a few Swift records sitting there. Of course, I wish I had more time to sit and listen to records. Luckily, the whole family enjoys putting stuff on when we're eating, cooking, playing video games, or just hanging out, so I do get to do it pretty often. I've spent more than I'd like to know on records over the years, but I do love my collection. I used to joke that my kids could sell it as soon as I'm gone, but now I think it's more likely that they end up taking it themselves and continuing to grow it. That makes me happy. -
Mox is still a fairly new dad. Probably just getting parenting advice from Christian.

As much as I love the prospect of having Danielson wrestle on my tv every week, I would not be too sad if he did one more year in AEW and then traveled the world picking and choosing his dream opponents. -
Going by what Darby does in his free time when he's not wrestling, I really doubt he's too worried about this.

My Collision I went to was a weird one. It was the weekend before All In, so they did Collision, and also taped ROH and Rampage since they had to do the next week's Collision with Dynamite on that coming Wednesday. We didn't get out until 1am. But, my son was also not leaving a second early, so it was fine.

Dynamite is here in Louisville in November at the Yum Center. It’s right on the Ohio River. Quiver by the River?
