Impact Wrestling - 6/17/21: Against All Odds Fallout

Recommended Posts

Digging the start of the build to Slammiversary. Kiera & Tasha steal the show again, greatness in their little segment, and a hilarious payoff finding Mickie's trash bag in the dumpster. Solid matches throughout the night. Been liking Rachael Ellering's output a lot since debuting here and loving her theme music as well. Looking forward to Kojima & Eddie teaming up

*Sami Callihan came to the ring complaining that no one fires him and he called out Don Callis & Kenny Omega. Scott D'Amore came to the ring and said they would fix this, insisting on an Anthem representative coming to the building. Callihan argued that he is the soul of the company but agreed to do things Scott's way and left. Don Callis then came out. Callis said he did what he did for Scott because Scott cared too much about the wrestlers. Callis said they are better than them and that he fired Callihan because Scott didn't have the guts to. Scott argued that Don only did it to protect Kenny Omega. Tommy Dreamer interrupted. Scott said they didn't have time for this but Dreamer revealed that he is the person that Anthem sent. Dreamer announced that Sami Callihan has been reinstated by the board. Dreamer said someone else needs to be fired. Dreamer talks about coming to Impact because Scott and Don promised to change everything. Scott says they did that. Dreamer argued that personal relationships had been put in front of Impact business. Dreamer announced via the board, Don Callis is fired effective immediately. Callis argued that he's the only one that does what needs to be done. Dreamer told him there'd be a trash bag waiting for him in the back. Callis said they both should be fired as he left.

I watched 25ish minutes and the wrestling was kind of crappy.  Don Callis was great being outraged though he looked like he was having waaaay too much fun.
