Nobody sees him as a strong character. Interesting because after he mowed down Reigns cleanly as soon as he came back, I pretty much accepted him in kayfabe terms as an elite wrestler. Kinda like how Ambrose beating them both cleanly and then putting Cena down cleanly = clearly on that elite level. Rollins's problem is that his character is never presented the way outside of the ring that he is inside the ring. Outside the ring, he's presented as a whiny complainer, whether face or heel. Inside the ring, he's presented as the best athlete on the roster, capable of winning matches with a variety of high-impact moves. More than anything, it's this weird tweener role where he cries about being betrayed all the time that's hurting his credibility, IMO.

Then again, the motherfucker should have never turned heel or joined the Authority to begin with. He was never the clever smart wrestler. He has always been the performer and great physical wrestler. It never clicked that he was ever the smarmy heel.

I reckon if Tony Nese signs on he'll be cruiser champ by the end of 2017. I've seen him wrestle a bunch but I've never really seen him cut a promo, any good?
