  1. Most Chikara fans didn't even know about that scavenger hunt stuff. That's such a small part of their fandom. During interviews, Quack tends to exaggerate how hardcore the Chikara fan base is. There is a group of super dedicated fans that will do all of that, but most Chikara fans just go to the shows, have fun and that's it. The hype for their return show was huge, and the turn out was great. But the show wasn't a blow away and it didn't plant enough seeds for the future to get most of their fans to stick with it. On top of that, the roster was just depleted at that point. Good for Hallowicked though.
  2. Just finished this after watching it in spurts over the last several days. Really liked it. Not a bad match on the card, imo. And while I love New Japan, I've been skipping some of the undercard stuff lately. Not for this. I couldn't figure out how Okada bruised his face. Thinking Fale landed on his face after the German suplex, but I'm not sure.
  3. Maybe I'm wrong, but wasn't it eventually confirmed that the Tomb Raider sequel is a timed exclusive only? Good call if so. Would definitely buy that for the PS4. Loved the previous one. I'm not a trophy dude, but I'm proud/embarrassed to say I have the Bloodborne Platinum. I was so hooked on the game, but now it'll be easier to not procrastinate work.
  4. I'm pretty sure the discount will end in a couple of hours when PSN updates for April. That was last week's discounted game. It's basically Super Metroid, if you're into that sorta thing. Pretty impressive that one guy developed this game.
  5. I figure you're at the first area with the lantern carrying Undertaker-looking guys. Keep at it. You only get frenzied once in that area if I'm remembering right. I think it's tied to a ghost you may or may not encounter again later in the game.
  6. I finished Bloodborne. My friend told me to transfer the save file into an external harddrive towards the end of the game. Great tip, because I was able to reload the saves and got all three endings. Just an amazing game. Now, it's all about the Chalice dungeons.
  7. My friend told me about this and I went bonkers for it. I was a huge Jacobs fan back in the day and loved the Jimmy/Lacey stuff. Gotta seek out Supercard to watch this.
  8. Thanks for the heads up. Downloading it now.
  9. Bloodborne is amazing. I felt the item duplication glitch kinda defeats the purpose of the game so I didn't use it. I used exploits in Destiny because I felt that game was really cheap in a lot of ways. Not here. To each their own though. I don't find this game that hard, if you're careful. Expected to die a lot more. Way more accessible than the previous games. I've been killing most bosses on my second try, and sometimes even on my first try. It also pays to just grind souls for a couple of hours early on in the game (the spot with 5 werewolves near the 3rd boss). I'm currently level 87 and 11 bosses in. It's super easy to level up later on in the game without having to grind. I love that. My cleaver is maxed out. My cane and blade of mercy are also really strong. Exploring for all of the materials is a lot of fun. Can be nerve wracking too! I had the most trouble with Gascione (the second boss) but after that, I really found my groove. I beat the yesterday, but now I'm not sure where to go. I had to put it down for a few days to go out of town, so it was cool that I was still okay for beating that guy a few hours in. How far along are you? You have to go down the area right before the Cleric beast, stairs that lead to a dark house. From there, there are two different directions to go. Second boss is not too far from there.
  10. There's also a 10% discount code on PSN that expires on the 30th. Don't know if that applies to PS3 Psn, but I would assume it does. I had $25 credit so I got the Resident Evil Revelations 2 pass/collection. I've heard some good things, and some bad things, but I'm sure I'll enjoy it for the most part.
  11. I'd like to try Life is Strange eventually. Story seems right up my alley. Currently addicted to Bloodborne. It's so much fun. Co-opped for a bit with my friend, and we almost killed the 3rd boss. If the host dies, then the game is over. Sucks, because I had a full bar of health and was just a few hits away from killing it. Luckily, I got to keep all of my souls to use for upgrading.
  12. I didn't love Dishonored in my first play through, but I think my character build sucked. Might give it another go if it does end up being a freebie.
  13. I'm playing Bloodborne now. Just killed the first boss. I wish the character creation had more options, but it's a minor complaint. To each their own, but I don't really see it as masochism, and I think people really exaggerate the difficulty of these games. They're very challenging, but it's a nice change of pace from a lot of the games today with a million checkpoints. It's pure gameplay, and it requires some patience to learn how to play, but it's very rewarding. I'm not someone who rages while playing video games, and I've finished both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls. Those were enjoyable games to me. Not torture. Some parts were pretty difficult, but when you advance - it's a great feeling.
  14. You don't. Congrats on beating Crota, by the way, and for getting to 32. I pretty much came in here to see if you pulled it off or not.
  15. Low Ki legit punched Chris Dickinson in the face a few times later on in the night for being too stiff. Really thought they were going to continue fighting in the ring. It was pretty crazy. I wasn't a fan of him getting in the ring to start an angle right after the 10 bell salute for Perro ended. Not sure what they were thinking planning that out. Dickinson and Kimberlee were chatting before and after the show, and looked like old friends. Kinda weird considering the horrible video of him putting her in serious danger from a couple of weeks ago. I mean I wasn't surprised, but it was still odd to see. Teddy Hart is terrible. If you're fascinated with how much of an idiot Teddy Hart is, then this show is right up your alley. He started doing unplanned spots, and also dived on a fan, which pissed MVP off. Which eventually ended up with both MVP and Homicide shooting on Teddy. Keep in mind, Kurt Angle wanted to fight Teddy legit at the last JAPW show back in November for something similar. Poor Chris Hero was stuck being Teddy's partner trying to make the most of a shitty situation. Joe didn't do much in the match but looks like he lost some weight. Good show overall, but also really weird and full of tension. Just an oddball promotion, tbh.
  16. Sami had a singles match with Neville prior to the big win. Zayn shows concern, and gets pinned for it about 50 seconds into the video.
  17. Totally forgot about that game. So it came out today? I'm searching for major reviews but haven't found anything. Reading some feedback on their Facebook page. Some people seem to dig it, but none of the compliments are very detailed. While the naysayers claim the animations are a bit choppy. I found their Soundcloud page with all of the game's entrance themes. Pretty funny. So far I've skimmed through rip-off themes of Angle, Orton, Hardys, RVD, Rock and Brock.
  18. Yeah, but Devitt could probably just go back to New Japan if his run with the WWE doesn't work out. And I'd guess he's happy being in a place where he can clearly communicate with most people. I'm watching the NJ Cup Finals and just finished watching Cody Hall's match. I was pleasantly surprised. He looked lost in between some spots, and maybe he should stop doing a pose before every big move he's gonna hit, but it was fun. Loved the announcers going bonkers for the rolling lariat. Credit to Honma also, for being awesome and selling it like a champ.
  19. Good luck. Hope you pull it off. Haven't raided in weeks, but the last time I did, it was with a 4 man team and it was pretty easy. I logged in once this week, I think. To do a couple of bounties and buy Red Death. Most of my focus has been on Far Cry 4, and I figure I'll be playing Bloodborne for a couple of months starting next week. But I'll be ready when the new expansion comes out.
  20. I'm curious - it seems you want to finish the raid, and have been trying to for a while now. What's your reasoning behind not using one of those team finder websites or apps? I gave the Gamefaqs LFG a shot when Crota was still new, and would set up raids in 5-10 minutes no problem. I was against teaming with randoms at first because I didn't want to talk to strangers and potentially deal with rude kids or general dummies, but I hardly ever had a problem. Yes, it's more fun when I raid with my 5 actual friends, but I liked my experiences using LFG, and I learned a lot from various random raid team mates. Kudos to you if you can do the whole thing with a two man fireteam, but you should give a Looking For Group a shot at least once. With a good team, you'll be finished in 40 minutes.
  21. I think Honma's my favorite wrestler of the year. And he's only won a single match in New Japan all year, if I'm thinking correctly. The guy always loses, yet every time he wrestles I catch myself thinking "Ok, this is it. He's finally gonna win!" I don't know of any other jobber that makes me believe as much as he does.
  22. Just saw Cursive. Oh man. Great show. So glad they played "Excerpts from Various Notes" and "The Great Decay." Even more excited that Gretta Cohn was on cello duty. Out of the three times I've seen them over the past 10 years, this was easily the best. Tim was so happy! Madsplash, I might go to the Converge show also. Not really into that type of music anymore, but I've always wanted to see Converge. I'd imagine they put on a very energetic performance, just based on recent clips. The vocalist still looks like a kid.
  23. Was it Karl Anderson's podcast? I had forgotten about that. Super cringeworthy. Just amazed at how stupid he came across.
