  1. I woke up at 545 to shower and watch the game (630 start time). Got up and said "screw this" and slept a couple more hours. Got up the second time and it's 21-0. So, yeah, I missed all the bad stuff. I'm ok with that.
  2. Wait, the Lions BENEFIT from the refs? Unreal. Atlanta flat gave that game away with their hilarious clock management. Mike Smith: top in his class at the Andy Reid School of Clock Awesomeness.
  3. Yeah, terrible no-call there. NFL really needs to make sure the field is better next time. Even Pittsburgh and Washington have better fields
  4. Wings give up just two even strength shots in 38 minutes against Philly, lose anyway. Their offense is just pathetic.
  5. Michigan State did themselves no favors today. Their offense didn't do much of anything all day, despite having the ball the entire game. They essentially scored 21 points. You wanna make a claim for the playoff, you gotta score 50+ against a team as incompetent as Michigan. Give Michigan's defense credit. They played really well with no help at all from their offense. Michigan's offense is beyond atrocious. Gardner is just awful. And when he does hit a receiver, they drop it. And forget having a running game. Brady Hoke most definitely sealed his fate today.
  6. Yeah, both brothers are overpaid. Jordan is making $6m to put up 35 pts. Eric is getting over $8m to put up 55. Good luck to Carolina there.
  7. Ooooh... burn. Except every Tigers fan already knows he sucks.
  8. It's not whining when you're right. The Anaheim one was just awful - a blatant hook leading to a one-on-the-goalie game winner with 23 seconds left. Tough to not complain about that. I think you'll find I'm a very objective observer when it comes to Detroit. Along those lines: Wings vs Penguins - Detroit steals one here. 57 minutes of not-good hockey leads to a 3-1 deficit for Detroit. Pittsburgh controlled pretty much the entire game with Detroit looking a step slow the entire night in easily their worst performance of the year. Babcock pulled Howard with 3 minutes left and Detroit scored to make it 3-2. A minute later, Howard gets pulled again and Detroit gets a break as Z deflects a pass right onto Kronwall's stick open in the slot. Bang, 3-3. Then a game winner for Abdelkader in OT. Pittsburgh has got to be shaking their heads after this one. No way Detroit should have gotten a point here, let alone two. Absolutely a stolen victory. And the PK remains perfect against a team that came with a PP% of 42%. Offense still struggling like mad though with Darren Helm summing things up perfectly with a million opportunities that turned into no shot on goal, including a clean breakaway that Mickey Redmond explained as Helm "being too fast a skater for his hands". Yeah, sure thing Mick. Pavel Bure had that same problem - NOT. Anyway, I'll take the W, undeserved as it might be. Helps with the sting of the Montreal game, that's for sure.
  9. Those extra 12 runs they scored this year = Renteria is a superstar
  10. Yeah, but what about a couple days later? It's not like you're eating the whole cake in one sitting. You gonna live with just a single slice for your entire life? When you've a craving for cake and think of it every 7 seconds?
  11. Ignoring all that, her nose is like half its original size in the "after".
  12. Since I know us PS4 owners are crying out for AAA titles to re-invigorate our interest in our consoles, lemme help you out a bit: Freaking awesome game here
  13. You should give Ni No Kuni a try. It's the most incredibly beautiful game I've ever played. Very grind-y if you're going for a platinum but a really, really good game.
  14. Didn't mean to imply she looks weird. FAR from it. Oh no, she had GREAT work done. She (at least) had her nose touched up:
  15. He might be the most sympathetic heel ever. Dude scores with J-Lo and then she shuts him down. OF COURSE he's going to go crazy. You can't just walk away from THAT - you're gonna want seconds, amiright?
  16. The goal they gave up to PK Subban the other night was a thing of hilarity. He basically was allowed to just free roam for what seemed like 10 seconds before scoring on a video game deke. Not a lick of defense to be seen anywhere.
  17. Another game for Detroit, another hosing from the refs Detroit vs Montreal - 2 periods of very good effort from the Wings followed by 1 period of strong play from Montreal. Jimmy Howard was outstanding throughout and Carey Price played really well, too. Pavel Datsyuk made his return and had little impact prior to a ridiculous 180 into a rocket backhand goal late in the 3rd. Only it got waved off thanks to "incidental contact" by Justin Abdelkader of Detroit with Carey Price. Only Abdelkader wasn't moving and was outside of the crease. Price skated into him, completely initiating the contact, and then kind of flopped as Datsyuk's goal went in. Detroit would have been up 2-0 at that point, on their way to an almost-certain win. Instead, it was still 1-0, Montreal tied up later and then scored in OT to win. Terrible call Anyway, another solid effort from the Wings, who are now 3-1-2 but could easily be 5-0-1, or 4-0-2 at worst. PK is still perfect and defense play vastly improved - both areas under Tony Granato's direction. His work there has been stellar. Offense still a major issue. Wings had well over 50 attempted shots in this game with 20+ shots blocked. That's just...terrible. For the better part of a decade, the Wings have had a terrible offensive system that involves skating into traffic and then firing a lot of low percentage shots that get blocked. A LOT. Or making an extra pass instead of shooting. Both of these items happened a ton against Montreal. (insert rant here about how the NHL needs to make the goal larger)
  18. Exactly. Here's a pre-combine profile that goes into exactly why Michael Sam was a late round prospect. One didn't need to see the combine speed/size issues to know the guy wasn't a first rounder, even before he said he was gay. Michael Sam pre-combine report
  19. J-Lo, looking scorching hot, sleeps with a high school student who looks 28. Bad stuff ensues:
  20. A perfect example occurs early in season 5. Max has gotten a job as a photographer for the school yearbook. He walks around school with this film camera that Hank gave him and just randomly takes photos of people while telling them he's a yearbook photographer. He comes up on a group of girls crying and takes a pic. They yell at him, he takes another. They ask him to stop, he takes more. The girl complains, the parents call the school and Max (rightly) gets fired as yearbook photographer. Kristina goes to the school to plead his case and loses. She goes home that night and Max is all upset about getting fired. "It's not fair!" because he's the best photographer on the staff, ya know. Does Kristina use this as an opportunity to teach her special little snowflake some manners or boundaries? Does she see a chance to show him Asperger's isn't an excuse to constantly misbehave? Nope. "You're right Max, it's unfair" and that's it. Way to go Kristina. I can't imagine why your kid is a misbehaving monster on top of all of his special needs issues.
  21. and Indiana Jones wannabes LOL. Guilty as charged on all three of those.
  22. Well, I can tell you that the two trailers above do absolutely nothing to pique my interest in the game, that's for sure. Maybe there's a good game in there somewhere - I don't necessarily hate the art on this one - but it's buried under the worst trailers I've ever seen.
  23. Except he's too small to rush the passer as a lineman and too slow to do it as a linebacker, which is why he dropped in the draft to begin with. That's one of the reasons Sam dropped in the draft. Quoting me and then repeating my points is not going to get you your Hawaiian sand any faster.
