Hard to say how good Andre Johnson will be this year. He wasn't good this year but how much of that was the atrocious QB play? 2 years ago when he had Pick Six and Case Keenum throwing to him, he put up 100/1400. Personally, I think you'll see him put up something like 90/1200. If he does that, I imagine Indy will be very, very happy.

That's pretty darn great, Dr. C.

Mario was bigger, stronger, faster and led the league in scoring while missing half a season with cancer. Easy decision
-
That goal is just ridiculous. Just rewatched it again. IMHO, Mario is the greatest hockey player of all-time but what video shows is that he was also a heckuva skater at one time. I tend to think more of the half-speed-but-still-better-than-everyone-else Mario we saw toward the end of his career but the Mario who won Cups could MOVE. All hail Super Mario - only dude to score every possible type of goal (shorthanded, even strength, power play, penalty shot, empty net) in one game.

The Jimmy Graham trade is an interesting one. I think it fills a need that Seattle had but...man, New Orleans got a LOT in return. A top-flight center AND a first rounder? An awful lot of (halfway-decent) quarterbacks have changed hands for less than that.

Bradford has played very well, in general, when healthy the last couple years. Problem is, he's never healthy.

Them Fritos were awesome down by the goal line though.

Exactly what are the criteria that one could possibly get turned down?

Well I've bought it twice, too. Need to finish Valiant Hearts, then I'll give it another go.

They supposedly have an open marriage. Beyond that, Jada has come across as so unlikable in every interview or story about her that I can't believe Will lasted 20 minutes with her, let alone 20 years.
-
They had great chemistry, no doubt. Can't say I got the off-screen relationship vibe but wasn't looking either.

Detroit's effort against Calgary was not great. They continued the bad defense from the Rangers game and mixed in some bad goaltending. Cole had two points and looked good though.

Who was it that broke a leg jumping on home plate after a homer?
-
Hahahahaha. Yeah, cats hate foil You're supposed to put it on your countertops if you have a cat that likes to jump on them.

So the wife says "Hey, you wanna go to a movie?" I'm always up for that, so... Focus - Will Smith is Nicky, an uber-accomplished thief and con man who runs a crime ring that targets major sporting events. Margot Robbie is Jess, a small-time criminal who tries to rob Nicky but ends up joining his team instead. What follows is 2 hours of pickpocketing (the scene of them in New Orleans ripping people off will probably terrify every tourist - the little bit with them stealing a camera lens is dead-on), capers, and double crosses. It's a fun time but...never quite gets there. This is a movie that's supposed to be style over substance, to be super-slick and super-cool and just isn't quite slick or cool enough. There's a couple things that strain believability (like the setup for one crime that simply would never happen) as well. And the pacing is a little off, with some scenes that simply move too slow or are too long. They probably could have chopped about 15 minutes off and improved the movie. The cast is great and it's certainly nice to stare at Margot Robbie in super-sexy outfits for 2 hours but it ends up being not quite enough. 6/10.

Watched Of Miracles and Men last night. This was really, really great. As others mentioned, I loved that they didn't speak to any Americans and that the entire thing was from the Soviet perspective. All the stuff on the Soviet hockey system under Tarasov was fantastic. Seems like his players really liked him, no matter how hard he worked them. It's a shame he got canned before the '72 Summit Series. Was neat seeing the Soviets rightly taking so much pride in the way they destroyed the NHLers in the first game, leading the Canadians to the thuggish behavior (with a big assist from referees colluding against the Soviets) that eventually lead to Canada winning the Series. Of course, there was a lot of focus on the 1980 Olympic game but it was great hearing the Soviet perspective. They kind of implied, but never really stated, that the players were out partying with the figure skaters (who'd won gold) the night before the game, leading to the lackluster performance. I was shocked at the conditions they lived under - had no idea the "Olympic Village" was (literally) a prison. Somehow have missed that tidbit in all the stuff I've read about that game. Hearing Tretiak break down Mark Johnson's tying goal that led to him getting pulled was awesome. Seeing Tarasov's daughter gleefully say "It was a mistake!" with regard to him getting pulled was great, too. And funny to see Myshkin essentially blame the rest of the team for the loss. Probably best were Boris Mikhailov and his "Why the heck would I watch Miracle? I want to watch a good movie. Let the Americans watch a movie where they win." reaction and the funny (but true) analogy from the Russian journalist with regard to the game and how it's (not) thought of in Russia/USSR. To wit: if a young man kisses Sophia Loren, that is something he will remember forever and always talk about. But for Sophia Loren? Instantly forgotten. If I had one complaint, and it's a minor one, it's that I think a little too much focus was put on Slava Fetisov and his transition to the NHL. Yeah, he as a groundbreaker, but he wasn't alone. Sergei Makarov came over that same season too - and won the Rookie of the Year - but that garnered nary a mention. And I would like to have seen more on the Fetisov/Kasatonov relationship after Kasatonov betrayed Slava and then came over and was a teammate with the Devils. Still, I love hearing from Fetisov. The guy is beloved in Detroit for being part of the Russian Five and winning a Cup. Interesting that they didn't mention Fetisov was in the limo crash that crippled Vladdy Konstantinov. Anyway, this was a really, really great entry in the series - probably top 5 overall.

Dale Scott, in his very first game since publicly coming out, was hit on the hand/arm on the very first pitch to the very first batter and was injured.

Yeah, captains in baseball really serve no purpose. I imagine several (lots or even most) teams don't even have one. It's not like hockey where there are specific jobs for the captain (and alternates).
-
Nah. It's "politically correct" to refer to people as "African-American". But that leads to stupid stuff like CNN referring to one of the guys who shot up the French newspaper as "African-American" despite the fact he wasn't African and had never even been to America.

I think you're right. That's probably because they already have some "carry it forward" deal on the songs from the first two games but don't on the third. So the on-disc stuff from 1 & 2 are essentially DLC as far as #3 is concerned, thus it gets carried forward.
