  1. Kyrie Irving STILL hasn't played an NBA Finals game
  2. Fun facts: Andrew Bogut has a career bpg average below 2. He has 4 in the first quarter.
  3. If I can have one person on this earth to take with me into hell to fight the devil himself, Brock would be up there as a choice. But I'd rather take Brock's agent.
  4. Except that the Ali camp thought Manilla was going to be an easy payday but Frazier had other ideas. That said, it's weird to think that so much of what was a golden era of heavyweight boxing revolves so much around third-world dictators which just speaks to what a carnival the sport has always been.
  5. "Lady Dynamite" on Netflix is ridiculous in the best way possible. But completely worth your time.
  6. I say this in the best way possible, but Becky Lynch and Mick Foley are two very silly people:
  7. Not mentioned yet but reccomended: Jerry Izenberg's "No Medals For Trying" Thomas Hauser's oral bio on Ali John Feinstein's "A Civil War" (about the Army-Navy rivalry) There isn't a BAD choice by Halberstam but my favorite might be October 1964. John Heylar's Lords of the Realm
  8. Rusev has been really good since the LoN split. And the most important thing he's done is now he's not just leasing a finisher. That shit is now HIS.
  9. I'm sorry to see him leave Miami but good for him. He's been Miami's DC for all intents so Mempho is a good fit.
  10. He needs to still slow down his pantomime at the start of it and let it pick up speed at the end. Think Luis Tuant/Hideo Nomo. But he's getting better at slowing it down. The first week he was like Greg Maddux with a runner on first.
  11. It's Skylar White Syndrome. Being the unlikable wet blanket while in reality being the only voice of reason in the surrounding ridiculousness.
  12. Grub was a little bit overvalued because of his size and his checking, plus I think Tallon was concerned about his concussions. I think the bottom line is Tallon recognized a chance to sell high and get some more cheap ancillary parts. Plus, it's not like McCann is a palooka.
  13. We'd all do better to realize this is going to be The King James Flashpoint, not the Old Testament directly.
  14. Adam Gase didn't even let his rookie camp see the field. Adam Gase is a genius. At least for today.
  15. The feelings of the other 11 Cavs can probably be summed up from 2:25-2:46.
  16. He was Master Splinter's 5th disciple.
  17. The funny part is that until Jericho reused the 2x4 they were treating the weapons like one of those Acclaim games where you use a weapon a few times and it just vanishes
  18. I think it did better once it stopped just skipping along from spot to spot to spot and got to the end sequence. The last 5 minutes at the very least pulled it up from being a bomb.
  19. And also, he was off-tour for maybe two weeks tops and was right back into life as usual. And yes, he's hardly the first person in history to have to do that EXCEPT that his job just so happens to keep throwing tributes to his deceased father, whom he has seemingly barely given time to himself to mourn. I'm also an armchair shrink, but this whole thing screams "burnout"
  20. At least it won't be a sweep. I'm curious to see what Cleveland's coach does for adjustments after a playoff loss. Tyronn Lue can help out as well if he wants.
  21. Nitpicking, but I think the announcers dropped the ball on the whole left arm story told. They whiffed on the fact that the reason Nia would attack the arm in the first place was because Asuka tried to take that arm home as a souvenir last month. And that unto itself is part of HOW Nia has improved since London and would have been a key point of the story that was already being told. Usually they're better than that. But nobody's perfect.
  22. "For the safety of the fans" is as good of a workaround as any in terms of having a cage match in PG-era WWE.
