Toni beating Megan with a package roll-up reminded me of Cena beating Umaga with a school boy in their first match. And based on Dynamite it seems Megan Bayne's title aspirations remain intact. So if this is leading to a Texas Death Match between them at Double or Nothing, I say hell yeah.

Yeah! I can't find the post, but does anybody else remember somebody recentishly commenting on how everybody thinks Speedball looks like a dork, but after they see a few of his matches his work turns them around? Because his work hasn't done that for me, but that line got me a lot of the way there. If he's actually wearing shoes the next time we see him, I'm in. -
Forbidden Door is in August this year, after All In in July. I fell most of the way asleep during the show and missed most of Jericho-Bandido, Garcia-Cole, and the three-way. I saw the results though. (I then paused the show and went to bed, watching the main event this afternoon.) Are any of those three matches worth watching when I already know who won? And one thought: I'm amazed so many people are complaining about poor booking in the main event, when earlier in the night they put a singles title on Adam Cole. You all have some weird standards.

Upcoming Video Game Releases (2025 & Beyond)

Unclear if you're making a spelling joke or if you're genuinely unfamiliar with Rogue-likes. Though I can't help you if it's the latter, as I don't understand the term either. You'd think it would mean "game whose 'graphics' are ASCII-based", but it doesn't appear to. -
Hey, 4-5! We just need one more "Yes" voter and we can settle this in a Blood & Guts match!
-
I'm not aware of their having advertised it as anything but a first-round Owen Cup match. So presumably it's non-title.
-
Huh. Sounds like it may actually be a decent adaptation then. I might have to give it a chance some day.

No hate for Bicentennial Man? I haven't seen it, but it certainly looks awful.
-
Probably? But in my opinion, this is the first title defense of this reign where Moxley could plausibly lose. I suspect he'll retain, but I wouldn't call it a lock.

Do you, like, age slowly? The Simpsons debuted in 1989, thirty-six years ago.

Upcoming Video Game Releases (2025 & Beyond)

Man, Mario debuted in Donkey Kong! And now he's out there acting like he's not only on a level above DK, but like DK hasn't ever been on his level? Fuck that guy. -
Apropos of little, I Googled "July 12" and the "AI" summary told me that July 12, 2025 was a Friday. I had to check my calendar to confirm it was actually a Saturday. I realize the programs people are widely calling "AI" these days are far from being AI, but ye gods, how hard could it be to have the system get that question right?

Hmm. All three guys' characters were part of the same faction when they were last seen, so bringing them back together would make sense, yeah. And Jungle Jack getting sick of the Bucks and turning on them would be a good way to get him back as a face without feeling like he's going backwards. Then of course you could re-team him with Luchasaurus, at least for the duration of the Bucks feud, for the nostalgia pop. I like it.

Thanks Shooter. Those were the three I could remember on the men's side, but I thought I was forgetting a few. I had assumed MJF would be in it too, but he's a big enough star I'd think he'd get to declare his inclusion in an interview segment rather than just be part of the infodump of the remaining participants. Most likely we'll get five midcarders (hopefully upper midcarders). And only two spots left on the women's side - do you suppose Mariah May gets one, or do we think they're giving her some time off so she can come back in a big way a little later?

You think? I quite liked the "Scapegoat" character, particularly during the Garcia feud. Playing off his past as fiery up-and-coming babyface and telling the current babyface how he had already fought for what they thought they were fighting for, until he realized it was all bullshit - that was good stuff. And more important than my personal opinion, the crowd seemed to hate him as they should. Yeah. I mean, I'm sure if "Tarzan Boy" hits and a reunited Jurassic Express comes out it'd get a huge reaction, but I don't know that it'd be sustainable. And narratively it wouldn't be very satisfying for his character to go back to where he'd started.

AEW TV - 3/26 - 4/1/2025 - Brody (You're A Fine Girl)

They did have a bit where MVP insisted that his guys take a vacation. (Possibly he even explicitly said to turn their cell phones off? Possibly not; I don't remember every word and don't want to try to find it on Youtube.) Lashley and Benjamin even reminded us of that this week, complaining to MVP that he sent them away and then invited MJF in behind their backs. I agree it's a stupid trope, but in this case they at least put in some narrative effort to try to make it make sense. So I'm inclined to give them a pass this once. -

They were still ThunderStorm when I wrote that! -
I completely forgot McKellen was Magneto in the original X-Men movies and briefly wondered if Gandalf was showing up.
